You know that first big yawning stretch of the morning? Doesn’t it feel glorious? Good morning, young lady! How long have you been up? I followed the tabby downstairs a few minutes ago. He pranced, of course; I just sort of ambled awkwardly down using the handrails for support. Perchance does he want gravy for breakfast? Methinks he does.

Hi Karen! It is a little overcast and slightly rainy here today but that won’t stop it from being a great day. Spring is my favorite time of year because, even though the weather is very unsettled, you can see the hope of Spring. Everything is starting to turn green and buds are popping out everywhere. I am looking at my daffodils right now and they are glorious! We had a horrible winter so I really appreciate that Spring is finally here!
I’m definitely having a lazy weekend! I was working my butt off (with a really icky head cold) all week. Lounging around and reading with the cat sounds perfect 🙂
I’m working on a movie this weekend but I have to take a shift ar work to replace someone who got fired. Too much to do!

My favoirite foundation is Revelon’s PhotoReady foundation I like it better than Make up forever high definition. On weekends I like Smashbox high definition foundation because it’s a lot lligher. Plus I think it has some anti-aging ingredients in it.

I have always wanted a bunny. Easter is my favorite holiday because it combines two of my favorite things- bunnies and chocolate! Yesterday I got my nails done (Ruby Pumps by China Glaze) and then I went out and got to play with some bunnies! It was awesome. I saw this salt and pepper one that I fell in love with. Hi, this is my first time posting on this awesome site and I just want to say hello to everyone and most of all Karen, just joined recently and am loving the updates!!!! please keep up all the good work, had a sh*tty day today, so a chance to enter and post at the same time is cheering me up!! An animal I would love to be is a seagul because they can fly, and because I think they have the best of both worlds, they can be inland ( walking around Dublin for instance every early morning) or they can be out at sea…………hehe, or maybe that insect that lives for a day……. Oh how that day would be great!!!!

The Burt’s Bees cleansing cream you just reviewed is actually my favorite facial cleanser; I use it every day with my Clarisonic. I do find that it leaves my skin a bit dry, but if I follow with a rich moisturizer it’s usually fine.

In other news…I bought a box of kumquats today at TJ’s, and I’m wondering if what the nutritional value of these little guys is. They’re quite tart, so I’m thinking they’re high in vitamin C, and tasty. I could see them being habit forming.
I’ve been on the hunt for a HG foundation lately. I tried a lot of popular ones: dior nude, mufe hd, tarte, mac, bobbi brown, nars, u name it. (just in case you’re curious, my favs so far are bobbi brown and nars.) but nothing has blown me out of the waters. most of them kind of separate, like pixels, on my skin after a while. been wanting to try dior airflash next, but hesitant b/c of the limited color selection and it contains butane (wouldn’t that be oily?).
It’s sooo cold here today, 42degrees, I thought it was spring 🙁

I looooveee animals. I think I would have to be a dog tough. Every time I take my dog to the dog park all the doggies look so happy and playful. What an awesome life to sleep all day and then be able to run around outside and play!
My foundation color is stromboli in NARS sheer matte, but I’m in Vegas right now n have a bad sun burn so I have no idea what color I should do now lol

I have been following your blog and I’ve recently gotten back to using makeup brushes – – – yes I know, there was a time when I stopped using it for economic reasons. My b/f recently bought me the Eco-tool set for traveling plus I have bought three different brushes at Michael’s Art Store to add to my brush kit. I absolutely love my newly added brushes for my kit! For anyone who is interested in a good angled brush for applying liner, try the American Painter 4000 series in 1/4 angled brush…it feels nice and soft and great for applying liner!

We got to meet Dr. Brent Ridge and Josh Kilmer-Purcell, stars of the Planet Green reality show The Fabulous Beekman Boys! They were speaking about their farm and their goats and transitioning to green living. They are lovely people! What a fun day.

Today, I watched a movie. I know- it may not sound so exciting to you, but it has been forever since I got a chance to watch a movie due to many personal reasons, but today was the most emotional and beautiful day in a long time. The movie is called “The Lovely Bones”, based on a novel by Alice Sebold, and it has truly made me emotional, heart-breaking, hopeful, happy, sad, angry, all mixed together. Have you ever had that moment where you were so happy about something that you also cried like a baby? I felt the same, along with many other emotions. I choose to not give away anything of the movie in respect to those whom have not watched it, but I strongly recommend this movie to anyone. I was mesmerized. It reminded me so much of what my life was and still is and how we sometimes dream of a world we can live in but stuck in a world where we already live, with the people we love.
Whoah! so many people! And congrats to the new Master’s! I defend my thesis on Thursday 🙂

We had snow in Madison. I made my husband drive me to one salon to get my hair cut, another salon to get my eyebrows threaded, then we shopped for cars (an automatic since I still can’t drive with my broken ankle, three months later), and then tried out a newish restaurant. I just got done soaking my ankle and PT exercises and am now going to bed since I have an early am performance. 🙂

I tried a new technique recently. I’ve been wetting my brush with fix + and using it to make a liquid foundation out of my Bare Minerals foundation and I’ve been LOVING it. Much more opaque finish but still not looking cakey!

Anyone who says that cleansers are not important, IMO, needs to be shot :\ Forgive my rant 😛
Dermalogica has revamped their Ultracalming line last year, but it was only recently Malaysia got it. I’ve been using the Ultracalming cleanser and toner for years and it was pretty much the only cleanser and toner that has actually worked for me, and naturally I was quite excited to try the new Ultracalming line (Cleanser and toner).
Sadly, the new line did not work for me. I’ve only changed the cleanser and toner, nothing else, and it made my sensitive skin, well, sensitive. I break out easily and develop one or two really big painful pimples. It’s most upsetting 🙁
So right now I am on the lookout for a new cleanser and toner. I have my eyes set on Jurlique and REN, but can’t decide on which is better *Sigh* 🙁

I can’t believe it SNOWED today!!
If I could be any animal, I’d be a horse. Mostly because I ride and compete, so I’d want to know what goes on inside their heads that can make them difficult to figure out. I’m retraining an ex-race horse right now and it would be very interesting to see what goes on inside his head and why he gets tense and acts the way that he does.
On another note, I went to Sephora today and I was inundated by overly-friendly sales representatives. They told me they were glad to be able to give out free samples in stores like they’ve always done online, so I guess something good came out of it: tons of samples! It could have also been because I was one of the first customers of the day, but sheesh! I guess it’s better than being ignored. I bought UD make up setting spray, a Buxom cream eye liner (I’m obsessed now) and a Stila baked eye shadow in Champagne. It really caught my eye.
Yesterday was my birthday and I got 50.00…I if I was to win the 50.00 gift card, I could finally get the Make Up For Ever Flash color palette I’ve been wanting!! P.S. Just decided to go to Pasadena IMATS in June for a graduation present to myself! I live in NC…so this is a big deal to me!
I hate the feelings Sunday brings…cuz tomorrow is monday…noooooooo
All I did all day long was eat some Saltine crackers and watch a marathon of the Real Housewives of NJ. I wish I could go to Sephora, but unfortunately all retail stores are closed on Sundays in my county!

Have you seen this crazy Extreme Couponing show? Its insane. The people go in to the grocery store and fill up their carts with hundreds of dollars worth of products and they manage to save anywhere from 90-95%.
We’ve been trying to put these theories into practice at home, and we’ve saved lots of money so far! I don’t know if I could do it the same way that those people do, but its nice to save some money once in a while!
I’d love to be a dog – lots of snuggling and chasing tennis balls!

I found these little tiny fake “diamonds” at Hobby Lobby this weekend to fill the big compartment of my new makeup organizer for my ever growing collection of eyeliners. They are so cool, and way more fun than little beads 🙂 So excited!

My Saturday was unexpectedly fun. My hubby dragged me and our daughter to Bass Pro Shop (it’s like disneyland for outdoor/hunting enthusiasts). They had an in-store egg hunt for the little ones, which kept us busy while hubby played for a while. It was actually fun 🙂

if I was an animal I would totally be a cat. people still love you and treat you well even if you arent very nice (not saying that I’m not but you know). overall people just take care of cats but deal with their attitudes so i would want to be a cat for that reason
