I’m having a meow day today (meow!). That’s the plan.
I really wanted to sleep in this morning, but I woke up at, gosh, it must have been 4:30 or 5. Part of it was the light. It gets bright here early now, and I had some weird dream about bikes… A weird, stressful bike dream.
Some bikes got stollen, and there was this — well, that was the gist of it. I was stressed out about it, about bikes being stolen. I was really emotionally invested in these bikes for some reason, LOL!
So, for my meow day, I’m going to meet my friends Jen and Cindy at Bliss Spa in the city for a belated birthday celebration, where I plan to be tenderized like a side of beef. And then afterward, we’re going to get soul food at a place called The Front Porch.
I’m very excited about the shrimp and grits. 🙂

The last time I rode a bike was a few years ago, on my trip to China. The time before that was a about a week before, in China again, where I started riding and was so bad the guy who rented me the bike actually took it away :\ The second time was better though (and I learned my lesson, so I walked away with the bike before trying to ride it)!

kare bear and fab tab! yay, weekend giveaway time! last night’s (this morning’s?) dream was weird! i was dressed in a nice strapless hi-low white dress, waiting for my prom date. my date was the same date that i had when i went to my senior prom! it was WEIRD!
i think it’s due to watching a “judge judy” episode yesterday. two girls went to their prom, and the limo didn’t pick up one girl and her date. *sigh* and then i was browsing through the “poshmark” app on my phone, before sleep.

Last time I rode a bike was in jr. High
I rode my daughter’s bicycle last week to make her learn. .it was so funny as I was trying to ride in a dress…I had an accident yesterday when a gentleman on his 94th birthday came in front of our car from the wrong side. ..thank god my kids were safe. I felt pity for the old couple as they were going for their special day celebration but also I was very upset with the fact that there’s no age limit in USA after which one should not drive. .. so car is a mess.. and the whole night I just wished I could go back a little in time to revert everything that happened. ..it was heart breaking to see my dear car like that. .. but as someone has said, “if something happens against one’s wish, then it’s God’s wish that rules, and that is for something good. .!!!”..I hope I win to cheer myself with a little makeup.
I’m hanging out with my fuzzy zoo right now, and watching a Grimm marathon on Hulu. Okay,and maybe I’m reading beauty blogs, and watching beauty videos on YouTube. Gotta keep that wish list growing.

I just took my 5 yr. old male cat, Tiberius, to vet last week because he was breathing faster than normal. Turns out, he had a fever and bronchitis but was given a steroid shot and is back to normal now!
We go for a follow up in 3 weeks. I’m hoping he stays well!

I would love a massage for either my feet, ankles, & calves or my neck & shoulders.
Karen try sleeping with an eye mask. I wake up easily at the first hint of light and eye mask keeps it pitch dark so I sleep so much more soundly!! I’m also sensitive to noise and hubby’s snoring so I use ear plugs. They make all the difference!! Hope you enjoy your birthday outing!

comments about…the last time i rode a bike? last summer- i was pregnant and my husband and i went for a ride that ended very terribly! someone had a dog off leash (we had ours too but he was tethered to a bike) that ran in front of my husband on his bike to get to our dog and my husband ended up flying off of his bike and breaking his arm. the great thing about it all was that i didn’t have our dog because if it had of been me with our dog biking, and i ended up in that accident, we could have lost our baby. still very thankful to God that it was my husband and not me (i would have been okay with taking one for the team if i wasn’t pregnant!).
what sounds do i hear right now? a motorcycle or heavy engine, a car starting and in the distance, a lawnmower.
last dream about? i dreamt about a GIANT spider (its body the size of a laptop screen) and it looked like a camel spider. WHAT was THAT about?! I have no idea :p
Yes, sure have painted someone else’s nails! 🙂 And i would totally opt for a massage over a facial because i can give myself a facial (well, i can mask myself and have a home steam treatment, etc)-self massage isn’t as achievable or as gratifying, imho. 🙂

Oooo, a give away! Very exciting. Your mention of nail polish reminded me of a story. My dad was a big, burly, manly man who worked as a crew supervisor at the local electric company.
When my much younger sisters were little they used to paint my dad’s nails with real nail polish. My dad would let them choose whatever colors they wanted and would he wear it until it wore off on its own. When his co-workers asked about his sparkly blue, purple, and pink nails he would tell them his little girls did it all by themselves. 🙂

I tend to avoid bicycles at all costs. When I was younger I loved to ride them, but recently we had a falling out. I was hit by one, the seat fell of one I was riding mid ride which left a nasty bruise on my leg, and they are everywhere on my college campus. Needless to say we are not on speaking terms and I stick with walking. I hope you have a great day Karen! 🙂

I like facials over a massage
I never learned to ride a bicycle. But once I painted the toenails of every man at the party I was throwing. Luckily no grody man-hooves, just reasonably well maintained feet.
Massage please! I often break out from facials, so I’m always stressing during one, thinking “Are my pores clogging? Is she using shea butter?”
I paint my daughter’s toes fairly often – she’s very understanding about how often I mess up.
i always manage to scrape up enough money from each paycheck to get a facial every two weeks. i’m obsessed. and i have an vividly odd dream almost every night, i hate it!

From one feline devotee to another… I highly reccommend you get yourself (and T-Money) over to BBC iPlayer – there was this amazing show on last night called the Secret Life of the Cat! They attached GPS to 50 domestic cats and cameras to a few of them to see what cats get up to outside of the home, and how far they roam. It was pretty cool! SECRET CAT EXPERIMENTS :O

I love doing other people’s nails even though I’m not that good at it yet. I guess I just like the practice. I also do my own nails every two to three days. It’s such a fun creative outlet.
I just ordered $50 of stuff from Sephora last night (Benefit’s They’re Real mascara and Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer). I left about $100 worth of stuff on my loved list because I don’t have the extra money right now so I would LOVE to win this gift card!

I rode a bike when my kids were riding bikes, so some years past…fun, but then I had the annoying habit of stopping the bike by putting my feet on the ground. Horror of horrors 16 minutes before the feed store was closing, I realized we were out of everyone’s favorite treats! With so many furry faces staring at me, I grabbed my keys, wallet and cellphone, dialing the store on my way to the garage to place our “order,” begging them to stay open until i could get there.
When was the last time you made an unscheduled run to get puppy or kitty treats?
Dreamt I landed a starring role in a stage production of Les Mis, cause apparently I love to act (?). Then I realized there was a book worth of dialogue to memorize and…I couldn’t
sing. Meantime, all the other kids knew the show inside and out, and I’d never seen it. So
I went in the kitchen and played some ’80s
tunes on the radio and danced around, which
made them realize at least I was good at
something!

Weekend full of watching my daughter play softball. Her last game ended at 11:45 Saturday night. Whew! We’re tired. Lost out last game and ended up finishing 9th out of 27 teams.

Re: bike riding… I didn’t learn as a child, and neither did one of my friends, so last year we taught ourselves. We both ended up with some spectacular bruises but it was so much fun anyway!

Just like Vanessa, I ride my bicycle to and from work. Keeps me fit and frugal! I would definitely be upset and stressed if somebody stole my bike, that’s for sure.

I haven’t biked in a while – there’s no bike lane on my street, and people around here are bad drivers (and I am not the best biker!) so I just walk or take the bus usually. I actually didn’t learn to ride a bike until I got to college, and I had to learn because my classes were too far apart to walk in time. It was really really embarrassing trying to learn to bike when you are 18, but I somehow made it!
Gosh, I think the last time I rode a bike was last summer–I am gearing up to start riding again! I’m nervous to cycle around Manhattan, but Governor’s Island is a wonderful place for some stress-free city cycling. 🙂

This being Father’s Day always reminds me of the great man I had the pleasure of being raised by. My mom died on Mother’s Day at 51 and my dad 6 months later. He always called her his princess and before he went into a coma he wrote a note to me in his bible, I miss your mother and she’s waiting for me. He cared more about me on his death bed. That is a father.

I picked up this cheapie nail art kit at the grocery store today and it had a little sheet of what I thought was mylar but turned out to be gold leaf, which I proceeded to glue over half of my hand including glueing my nail to the tip of my finger cause I’m just that good. I’m about to go soak in the tub in the hopes that some of this peels off… 😛 Thanks for the contest!
