Rise and shine, morning glory! 🙂 It’s a beautiful day here in Blogville. The data packets aren’t colliding, my cameras are charging, and I just finished painting my nails.
I’m really looking forward to The Beauty Social this weekend. I haven’t seen much of Santa Monica yet, just the little bit I saw out the window on the 15-minute drive to the hotel from LAX last night, but it was dark, and I was very sleepy at the time…
The panel I’m participating in, How to Turn Beauty Blogging Into a Career, isn’t until tomorrow, so between now and then I plan to just look around, check out the waterfront, drink lots of tea, attend some of the other sessions (and take good notes to share, of course), track down a Pinkberry, and just have fun.

today is the day that I paint my nails following the mummy tutorial by MissChievous on youtube 🙂 I’ve been wanting to do that and today I have the time.
Usually my maintenance days are on Sundays, so tomorrow I’m going to do a mini pedi and do my eyebrows. Currently I am wearing Aruba Blue by Essie.

I’d like to share a homebade beauty routine, altough you might be familiar with this – egg white mask.
At first it felt crazy spreading a clear goop on your face, but trust me, it feels great after washing it.
First, separate the yolk from the egg white, stir it a bit and use your fingers (altough it might get a bit messy) or a brush or a cotton pad, which I prefer, to spread on your face.
You might wait 30 minutes or until the egg white hardens on yout face.I suggest that whenever your cooking eggs, leave a few egg white and apply it before doing chores.
I leave it overnight, and wash it with warm water on the morning. I know your a busy gal, so you could wash it off when it hardens, meanwhile you could just relax, watch tv, or write your reviews.

Last time I was in LA was about 15 yrs ago! Was able to catch a sitcom taping, visit Hollywood Blvd, Grauman’s Chinese theater, Rodeo Dr., Pasadena (Rose Bowl), Santa Monica pier, and made a day trip to Santa Barbara. Loved it – can’t wait to go back…

What happen to the Make Up For Ever Smoky Palette. It was never for on the Sephora website just said coming soon. Now its not even there????
Never been to LA, I always get stuck on the east coast 😀 And my nails are bare, they are getting a TLC break with no colored polish but lots of care, because they spend a month cleaning loads of filth with aggressive detergents. Even though I wore gloves most of the time, my poor nails are still crumbling. Poor little things. And poor me, because I want to play with mail polish!
I have been to LA once, and my family is planning on going again for Christmas! I’m really excited, I don’t feel like we got enough out of it when we went last. It’s so much of a nicer city than I think I initially gave it credit for!

I went to Best Buy yesterday and discovered that they sell cosmetics now – so I got some Revlon ColorStay foundation (which looked absolutely perfect on my skin – love it) and a Revlon Colorstay Overtime Lipcolor in Perennial Plum (which was not, in fact, a plum color, but turned out to be a lovely fuscia-ish color – pretty – just not what I expected). I love both, and they both stayed put until I took them off late last night.
Im so excited to go shopping at target next month when Gwen’s Harajuku Minis comes out; im so excited to see all the amazing pieces shes gonna have, her style is so great so you know its gonna be awsome.
I do have some grooming to do today – my eyebrows and nails are terrible, but after I get my housework done first!

I forgot to look at the name of the color I’m wearing on my nails but its purple and it sparkles like WHOA.

I’ve been out and about today and I’m so excited! I got a fantastic pair of beautiful, black leather riding boots for $45 because a tiny stud was missing. I immediately took them to my cobbler, who fixed them in minutes for $6!!!!! They’re gorgeous!

I used t live in Santa Monica a long time ago, and I can tell you that Main Street is very hip and a cool place to just take a stroll, check out the cute little shops, and have something to eat at one of the cool eating spots. I dont’ think it’s far from your hotel.

I went to L.A. long ago, at least I think I went there. I went through a TON of places in California, from out in the mountains where there were very few people and tons of nature to Hollywood where there was nothing but cars and concrete, to those places with pretty beach and surf and big pretty houses high up on mountains! It is really cool how unique each part of California is.
I’ve been to LA/San Diego once about 5 years ago.
Is it wrong that I saw a cat food commerical and wondered if Tabs would like it…well maybe not wrong but definitely disturbing. *offtogetalife*

So lets hope less bloat the morning after.Had to work late and had no time to make a healthy home cooked dinner.

I actually grew up in the Inland Empire, which was an hour east of LA, but I went to LA several times while living in SoCal. I live in Oregon now and while I love the seasons, my skin is so oily up here! The dry weather seemed to agree with me much more.

I just painted my nails Tiger Lily by Merle Norman 😀 It’s a super pretty orange red with a gold and orange shimmer. It’s the most fall-oriented color, but I really don’t care.

I just finished painting my nails actually! I’ve got Sinful Colors “Ciao Bella” on, but my toes are undone as of yet.
Oh man I forgot to paint my nails today. I just took off MAC Immortal Gold (drool-worthy). I’m tempted to do another manicure with that again, but I think I want something darker now, so I’m thinking I’ll use Owl’s Night from the L’oreal Project Runway collection.
I totally need to do my nails tonight! I need some good old R&R.
I went on a big west coast trip back in August and LOVED IT!! I went to Las Vegas first, then to San Diego. Spent one day on a VIP tour of Universal Studios Hollywood, then took several tours around LA, Beverly Hills and Hollywood. Loved every minute of it and I really want to go back very soon!!!:-D

It’s a beautiful deep red/burgandy shimmer and I feel so lucky to add it to my ever-expanding collection a year after its initial release. Check your local outlet malls for a Lancome outlet–they had tons of Lancome makeup and lots of big perfume brands.

I was living in LA (not LA proper, but a suburb called Alhambra) until this summer, when I moved up to San Jose. I like San Jose, but it’s definitely got a different feel to it. And I miss the readily available Chinese food (at almost any hour!) in Alhambra.

I was to LA a long time ago. It takes a lot to drag me to CA; I’m not a fan of the weather. I’ve been mostly to San Diego and San Fransisco lately just because that’s where I’ve had to go for events.

I love LA, but I’m glad I don’t live there. It’s only an hour and a half from where I live, but that’s freeway hours and the slightest glitch can turn it into hours and hours of sitting in traffic. My home town is a great place to lioev, but it’s missing some things that I consider essential.

I took a day trip to LA once while visiting relatives who lived in Del Mar. My husband drove…it was nuts! If you can drive in LA I believe you can drive anywhere. I never made it to Rodeo tho 🙁

Hello from the UK ^_^ I’ve switched up my moisturiser lately as autumn ruffles on. Started using steamcream. It was the tin with the Koi carp on that got me. I can’t resit anything that reminds me of my fishy pets, never mind a beauty product! So far I’m pleased.

it is a wish of mine to visit Cali one day. lots of places to visit and eat at. hoping to go to IMATS next year. currently, I have on Revlon Bubble Gum (it’s scented!! not so much anymore, but for the first couple days..) with OPI Turquoise Blasted on top. this was my first time finally getting the crackle to look alright after several failed attempts!
I filed my nails back to nubbies today because they seem to break so much easier now that I haven’t been wearing much nail polish 🙁
I am on the hunt for some straight led jeans that are short people friendly 🙂

I’ve been breaking out in hives all day. So itchy! I wish I knew what caused it but I have know idea.
I’m nursing baby kittens! I found them on Thursday in a basket, and they are TINY, maybe a week and a half old. I have to feed them every 3 hours, exhausting, but they are so adorable…
Filed my nails down today. I’ve been using Seche Rebuild for a couple of months and it has worked wonders! I used to have very brittle, peel-y nails, not helped by the fact that my hands are constantly in water. But after 2 months of the Rebuild, no breakage in sight, only very slight peeling at the tips on my pointer fingers (because of my bad habit of using these nails as tools, lol) and my nails are actually long and strong enough that I have to file them down to keep them from becoming talons *shivers at the thought*!

How’s this for random: I’ve spent the last few days not wearing makeup and to be frank, it’s the first time I feel just as good about myself as I do when I wear pretty makeup. Spending time with family and opening yourself up to good karma really does wonders for a girl. All I know is that I’m excited to find out what will look great on me this Fall and working it just as well as I do when I’m au natural.
Yoga followed by pasta….the cure for the midterm blues!
I haven’t been to LA for a while. I visited UCLA when I was deciding which grad school to attend, but that was 4 years ago.
I actually used to live in LA!! However I missed Chicago way too much. 🙂
I always do my nails Sundays, that way they are fresh for the week. And hopefully they last all week, if not I do some creatve touchups along the way. Like last time I had a blue base under light blue crackle. When it started to get tip wear, I covered it by adding “frosting” (white nail polish) and cherries (red rhinestones) to make cupcakes out of them. Right now I have a Halloween theme… orange base polish with black crackle, and a Jack O’lantern I free-handed on my accent finger.

Hi Karen! I’ve been through LA but never really stopped inside the city to visit but love California 🙂 Tonight I have to paint my nails another color and cut them because I broke one of them imprinting a credit card at work 🙁 But lately I’ve been wearing dark burgundy colors on my nails.
I’ve never been to LA, but would love to at some point.

My recent trip to the monday night football game and the drunk man who yelled in my ear how much I look like Natalie Portman (ummm a definate compliment to say the least, thank you sir), reminded me that with just a little bit of effort on your hair and a great makeup routine, you can look like a flawless movie star!
