How’s it going this morning? 🙂 What’s the weather like out your way? Looks like it’s gonna be a sunny one here. It’s about 60 degrees or so, lots of leaves on the ground because it’s definitely fall, but at least it isn’t freezing cold yet.
I haven’t figured out my game plan for today, but I hope it involves some relaxing. I’ve got a new episode of Project Runway to catch up on, and I would love to go for a hike. I spent all day yesterday indoors with Tabs because we had a meeting for some potential investors. Even did a PowerPoint presentation, and I think it went pretty well. picked up samples of dior hydra-life skin tint in #2 and #3 @ sephora – it’s a tinted moisturizer, i think it’s meant to be a companion to dior’s bb cream, which is too light for darker folk like me. holy crap this stuff is wonderful! i’m currently holding on to my nars TM in annapurna for traveling and using up other bases while at home, but once i need a new base, i’ll be eyeing the dior TM, it’s really great.
I actually don’t use shampoo on my hair–just conditioner every other day because I have super curly hair!! 🙂 P.S. I love the PowerPoint!! Hehe

Every other day for me, the days in between I don’t shampoo, but I do condition.
Did you know that a (energy saver) dishwasher is better to use than to wash your dishes by hand?? Now you have an excuse to always get that dishwasher going! 😉
I generally wash my hair all day because I have pretty oily hair. I’m thinking of getting dry shampoo and see if it works for me but I still haven’t had time to get around to getting it! One day soon, though!
Of course by “wash my hair all day” I mean, “wash my hair EVERY day.” I’m clearly not sitting around for 12 hours a day washing my hair haha

I hate having to speak to a group of adults, but I have no problem standing before my classroom full of children and talking. Speaking to adults is intimidating. Children are quick to forgive and (most) are eager to listen and learn! The one time I had to give a Power Point presentation in front of fellow teachers, I was terrified, although they were very kind and did their best to encourage me and put me at ease. 🙂

I’ve been reading George RR Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire (aka Game of Thrones) series for a few months now – I’m about halfway through the last published book! It’s amazing – seriously, I can’t put it down or stop thinking about it!
I teach high school so I give powerpoint presentations almost every day of the week!
Public speaking terrifies me so much that it makes me break out in HIVES. Thank god I never have to do it at work! I wash my hair if I am working that day and take a break from washing it on the weekends. It’s too bad that stinky hair looks so much better than clean hair.
Addendum: went to go see Loopers and JGL my oh my. They did an insanely good ‘makeup’ transformation on his face and he looked gorgeous. Of course, he looks gorgeous without the tough guy transformation! Lol. Would love to see a step by step pictorial on how they transformed his face!

And the vintage photographs make the book the much more haunting. I would totally recommend. On a side note, I love making PowerPoints but do not like public speaking at all.

First time to go on a mountain bike this morning with hubby. Biked to the market. It was fun.
I generally don’t abide by any rules when it comes to colors and makeup, wearing neon nails in winter and coral on my lips throughout the year. That being said, I definitely do wear more bronzer and shimmer during the Spring and Summer. I do also wear some “Fall” colors during Fall (and “Summer” colors during Summer, etc.), but only because that’s what’s usually available at the counters
60 degree weather? What IS that? It’s going to be 103 here in Southern California this Monday…yuck! I’m still doing smoky eyes with fall colors, though. This hot weather can’t stop me from celebrating the fact that it’s almost October! 🙂

A couple of years ago, I discovered Charlotte Bronte’s “Jane Eyre”… I was looking to find a movie to watch at the videoclub and grabbed it… Loved it !!! Since then, I watched every single version of the story I could that was made into movies or tv series.
Last week I asked myself… Why don’t read the REAL story ? To imagine my own version or the characters and everything… So I found an epub version on the web to put in my Ipad and I try to read it daily (full time working mom, 2 kids.. Not much time for myself)

I’ve done a few powerpoint presentations for high school and college. I recently read this book, A Good American, by Alex George. It was one of those books that you just can’t put down. It spans several generations, and each one was so interesting. Lots of characters to fall in love with.
I’ve only done public speaking a few times, and, although I was scared stiff, I really enjoyed the opportunity! My techy sister did my power point for me, though! (-;

My curly hair only gets washed once a week. I used to do it every other day but for the past 6 months or so, I’ve tried the once a week thing and have seen a huge change. I know it sounds gross, but it works for my dry curls!

I wash my hair 3-4 times a week using pantene shampoo and conditioner, but its always so hard to get volume! Sometime I sit for an hour with HUGE velcro curlers at the top of my head… it works… sometimes!

I’m reading The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling. The writing is excellent, of course, but it’s not a great story – the characters are well-drawn but not really very sympathetic – and it’s very profane, with graphic sex and drug use. NOT kid-appropriate or even teen-appropriate in my mind.
I’m 78% through with it according to my Kindle and I find that I don’t really care how it ends.
I’ve read all the Harry Potter books about eight times and they’re some of my all-time favorites, so I’m very disappointed.

I wash my hair 3-4 times a week. My hair gets really oily so I usually have to wash it every other day. It really depends on how I style it and how many hair products I use. When it gets a little greasy dry shampoo is my best friend.

I personally love public speaking! I was on the speech and debate team in high school, and when I was a senior, I placed at the state and national levels! The fun part of speech was getting all dolled up in the hotel room with my teammates the morning of. We’d do each other’s hair and makeup, order breakfast, practice, and sing along to whatever the it pop song of the moment was. I miss those days!

yesterday i bought the latest crime novel by Hakan Nesser. I was waiting for that book forever and I am so happy to have it now!
I read the first two books from 50 shades of Grey. I was wondering why alot of ladies kept takin about it. And now I know why lol. And for those die hard fans out there they are planning on doing a movie based on the books. The story line is interesting and the rest is just repitative and kind of boring.

I have a problem with public speaking
I did do a power point once, for school (cal state la). Researching the info was the easy part; putting it all together was hard for me.
I am rereading Stephen King’s The Stand. It’s one of my favorite books ever, and I have to return to it every 5 years or so.
I wear spring and summer colors all year, thanks to a) our climate being super mild and b) my complexion being fairly pale. Why mess with what works?
Got a Clarins Joli Rouge moisturizing lipstick in Cupid Red for a third of the price! The colour is so rich and goes on smooth. Love a red lipstick in the fall~

I hate public speaking especially when it’s people my age or older. Kids, I can handle. I’ve been working with them for four years now. I do need to look into getting some fall colors 🙂

Last night, I had a ‘girls night out’ and wore a deep bordeaux color lipstick. I was really nervous at first because I’m so fair, but I threw on a (pleather) biker jacket and feel really tough-girl-cool!
Public speaking is the bane if my existence. I’m currently in college and I had to take a communication class to satisfy my GE’s, it was my least favorite class and the one I most dreaded attending. But on the other hand, I haven’t had to make a powerpoint presentation yet.

I love public speaking… as a grad student I have to teach to eat, and my theater background definitely helps. Having a captive audience to bring the cooler side of science to just rocks. Although, I try to stay away from powerpoints because then no one listens. They need to look at all the pretty pictures instead of their pretty instructor.

I don’t like the idea of public speaking but I kinda like it. I have been told that I have a gift when it comes to public speaking (my 4th grade teacher Mr Dick). lol nice name. It always makes me nervous though. Once I get up there I am fine but I always get those butterflies.

I do a lot of public speaking, especially as a PhD student (have to present my research, after all!). Weirdly, I’m not nervous speaking to large groups, but speaking to a small group — especially if it’s people I know — can make me a little bit antsy. I usually use Powerpoints but they’re not very pretty. It’s embarrassing, since I study comics books and other visual media, and I always have the ugliest Powerpoint since I can’t draw or do layouts for beans!
I have never been able to confine my makeup colors to the appropriate season. Serious eyeliner and a bright red lip in the summer? Soft pastels in the winter? Honey badger don’t care!

I wash my hair pretty much every day. I’ve tried the “no ‘poo” thing in the past. I managed to make it to washing once a week, but I just never felt clean…I did think my hair seemed more voluminous though. Maybe I should try it again.
I have been getting more adventurous with my fall/winter makeup. Many days will be conservative neutrals on the eyes with darker lips but once in a while I will have teal eyeliner or turquoise eye shadow if I feel like it 🙂

I wash my hair every second or third day and use dry shampoo to keep it fresh.Its so annoying though because I am blonde and when its greasy ,the grown out highlighted bits look even more dingy than my original rather mousey blonde.So keeping it grease free is a priority.

I decided to be brave and wear a super dark red lip (MAC Hang Up) to a wedding last night. It was very high maintenance between all the eating and drinking, but it looked so good! Now if only cosmetic chemists could find a way to make *truly* long-lasting lipsticks. That’d be the day!

I am beyond terrified of public speaking, and I’m really shy in general. I push myself to take jobs where I have to interact with people, because the US is an extrovert-oriented country. I’ve had people accuse me of being stuck-up and snobby throughout my life just because I’m quiet, so now I try to be more outgoing so I don’t get treated badly.

Indian Summer (in the 80’s) has finally hit just as I was enjoying the cooler Fall weather. I’ve really enjoyed this season’s Project Runway, especially now that it’s getting towards the end and most of my favorites are still in the game.

I love NYX lip glosses. Although I must admit that the cough syrup-y scent can be hella overpowering, but the price point makes a sucker out of me every darn time! I just wish the ingredients weren’t so toxic. It’s difficult to find less chemically saturated lip glosses that offer solid wear time, optimal pigmentation, and aren’t bad for you since what is placed on the lips is consumed a majority of the time.
I’ve done tons of Power Point presentations.
Public speaking in front of other adults makes me really nervous…but I am a teacher and have no problem speaking to a room of adorable kids!

I love fall but I’m not quite ready to let go of summer yet so I wore a purple smokey eye with coral lips and cheeks yesterday so I could have the best of both worlds!
I have done many, many Powerpoint presentations, but I hate public speaking. I’ve learned to hide behind podiums or lean myself against tables in order to hide my shaking legs.

Good drugstore lip glosses – I just got a package of a bunch of elf stuff and I tried the lip shine SPF 15 in Watermelon. It’s a medium pinkish just like a watermelon, and it feels good on my lips. Nice cheery color. Even though it’s not very fall-y I will be wearing it this fall. Books. I couldn’t finish Dandy Gilver and the Proper Treatment of Blood Stains. Just couldn’t bring myself to read it after a certain point. A book I really enjoyed was Ben Behind his Voices by Randye Kaye. It was riveting! Psychology-type book. Hate public speaking, but I have done it successfully the last couple of times. I love that pic of Tabs with all the makeup tools by his face ready to primp every whisker and eyebrow hair hehe.

Hmm… I don’t think I’ve come across any amazing drugstore lipglosses yet, though I’ve heard good things about the Revlon ones. Though, now that I think about it, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve gone from buying tons of lipgloss to buying tons of lipstick.

I do my makeup using only black and white.I love playing with those two colors and creating different effects. I also love coloring my lips as if they were a canvas.

My favorite lipgloss is actually the winter version,the one that smells like vanilla, from bath and body works. It has the best effecton the lips!!!

I am deathly terrified of public speaking. I cannot do it. I am deathly shy and start sweating profusely. I took a speech class in college and I kid you not, it took me about 30 minutes to make a speech that was only supposed to be 15 minutes long. My mind blanked and I couldn’t remember what I was supposed to say even with my notes. Ughhh, I am starting to sweat just thinking about it. HAHAHA
I just stumbled upon this awesome blog, so it must be fate.
I wash my curly hair about 1-2 times per week.
I wash my curly monster hair every 2-3 days. If I wash it everyday I get dandruff and my head itches like craaaaazy lol.
