I just finished watching an old episode of Law & Order: CI while I was putting on my makeup at my desk, something I do a lot. I can watch him over & over and never get tired.

Mmmmm coffee would be lovely! I don’t have a HG mascara…I’m always buying the latest greatest drugstore mascara. I prefer conditioning ones that give a natural look but typically I just buy the one on sale and use a coupon so I don’t end up paying more than $2-3 a tube. Especially since I tend to replace them every other month.

I’m right-handed, have never gone bird watching, and have never really thought about which actor I would go on a date with. My favorite mascara is still Tarte. I was at Sephora last week and bought Dior Matte Skin Perfecter. I love it, but it’s so expensive and it seems to run out really fast (or maybe I’m just using too much). I don’t want to pay that much for a primer, but I like it better than the Sephora primer I was using before. I might end up going back to using the Sephora primer because the price is much more tolerable.
It’s a beautiful day here too! I’ve been using Smashbox Bionic Mascara, but actually need to head out to get a new one!

My current fave mascara is Loreal Voluminous which strangely, I put up Lancome Definicils to use. I like it so much better! Definicils used to be my HG that I would wear on special occasions with Voluminous every day….but now it might be the other way around! 🙂

Mmm my fav mascara??? Now that’s a hard one…mascara in general is my absolute favorite makeup item! But if I had to pick just one it’d be Too Faced Lash Injection. If volumizes your lashes to the max! This might sound odd the formula smells great too-which isnt usualy what youd expect from a mascara.

My current fav mascara is BE Buxom Lash. That stuff is AMAZING. It replaced my beloved Dior. You can pile it on for dramatic eyes that look like falsies or you can sweep one coat for a natural look. With one coat or fifty coats, never does it clump. I love that stuff!

My current favorite mascara is Revlon Grow Luscious. I didn’t think it would really condition my lashes, but it did! They are considerably longer and healthier now.
As for an actor to go on a date with, it would definitely be Jon Hamm. Not only is he super dreamy, but he’s also pals with Tina Fey, who I have a super girl-crush on. But, more importantly, he’s super handsome.
It’s also beautiful and sunny and springy today in Montreal so I went and grabbed a big ol’ coffee and I’m hoping to get some good work done on some term papers (about beaver trade, bleh).

I’ve been really loving Japanese drugstore mascaras. I got mine at a local Asian market, and I was afraid to try them because you know Asian stores have the worst return policies (and bad customer service overall). (Btw, I feel like I can say this because I’m Asian and grew up in several Asian countries, lol.) But boy do these mascaras lift and hold your curls and last all day (kind of a pain to remove though). And they have cute packaging. My current is Sana Extra Large. It’s like Cover LashBlast (the orange one) but better and no smudging.
Mmm… peppermint green tea and raspberries. Now THIS is breakfast. 🙂
If I could go out with any actor, it would be Gregory Peck, but alas…..he’s dead!

My name is Cassy and I have an addiction. I cannot stop getting sample mascaras (the Sephora sampler kits are a MUST) For some reason I think the quality of the sampler size tubes is better than the full sized. I have liked some samples, but hated the same thing in full size. Weird, right? Plus now I can change up my mascara brand more often and I do love to experimentate!

Went to a bunch of garage sales today… so fun! My favorite thing I bought was a framed poster of the anatomy of a brain from a retired doctor! I know strange but I heart it! 🙂 haha. i’m right handed and my favorite mascara EVER is covergirl lashblast volume!
When I was younger (Without the internet and computers, only TV and books), I was into bird-watching! My house had a little forest at the back so there were no shortage of birds (As well as monitor lizards and squirrels), but sadly I forgot their Latin/species names as my only references were either a guidebook in the local names, or a guidebook on foreign birds which, well, we can’t find here.
I also have this very old book of birds that my Dad used to own- it was a book that came free with purchases of condensed milk that time, and to complete the book the labels of the cans needs to be peeled to reveal the informations of the birds as corresponding to the ones in the book on the inside of the label, cut and pasted into the book. My Dad admitted to foraging local coffee shops for their empty cans for the labels to complete the book 😀

Even though it’s painfully expensive, I love YSL’s Everlong. My eyelashes are already thick, and it’s the only high end mascara that I’ve tried (so far) that nicely fans out/lengthens my lashes without making them look clumpy.

I am loving Maybelline Falsies. I actually bought a second tube. I never buy the same mascara twice, I always like to try a different one to see if it’s better. The trick is to heat my eyelash curler with a quick blast from the blow dryer. Apply mascara and perfect curl all day long. Falsies mascara makes them long and lush too!!

My fave mascaras are my Shiseido ones: Lasting Lift and Perfect Volume. They’re perfect for my short straight Asian lashes! I also occasionally use Lancome Definicils. I never felt the need to hunt for drugstore ones because my Shiseido ones are so reliable and I still haven’t run out of the sample sizes yet :3

Ok, the best Mascara is Definicils by Lancome; I’ve been a dedicated user for 10+ years. The secret to long lashes is the lash conditioner, it makes a huge difference. I believe everyone should use it! I have tried Dior Show Mascara and it definitely is a winner, but takes a little longer to apply.
My 4 year old son and I are having a lazy Saturday watching the Giants beat the Dogers finally (well hopefully!).

My daily mascara lately has been Bobbi Brown Extreme Party but I wouldn’t call it my favorite. That title goes to Estee Lauder Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting mascara. The name is a mouthful, but it’s the best mascara I’ve tried in a LONG time. I got one in a GWP once and keep repurchasing, which is something I rarely do. Haven’t seen anyone review it yet, which I find really odd.

I’m glad that my marriage is over because I will never have to deal with someone who doesn’t think I’m worth anything. I’m happier now then I ever was in the two in a half years that I was with him. I don’t have to give up my dreams for him or cry because he won’t talk to me.
I still love him, I always will but now I’m free to find the person who appreciate me for the way I am, not the way he wants me to be. It’s almost over.

I’m all about quick eye looks that use only a couple products!
MAC Soba all over the lid with Bare Escentual’s True Gold Glimmer shadow lightly on the center of the lid for a glow of sorts.
MAC Patina all over the lid with MAC Satin Taupe in the crease.
The liiiiighest layer of MAC Paint in Sublime Nature (nude/beige with the slightest sheen) on the lid (too dark for me to bring up to the brow bone) with either MAC Soba or MAC Cork in the crease. I find this simple eye look is amazing, especially when I have a bit of a tan, and I LOVE to pair it with a pink look, specifically Tarte’s 24.7 Lip Sheer SPF in Champagne Brunch!
**For anyone who gets frustrated over the packaging of MAC paints (seriously, the product just shoots out of the tube!!), I have a tip that prevents wasting product! You know those little sample jars you can get from any makeup store? Well, put the excess product in there with a few droplets of water to keep it from drying. It will last you about a week or so, and just clean it when you’re done to stop bacteria build-up and then start over! 🙂

Phew what a day! I have been ripping and running since 11ish am. I had orientation for Charlotte’s 25 Most Stylish event. It’s the kick off of Style Week in Charlotte, NC. Afterwards went to the mall with my boyfriend and had training for my new job. I’m a hostess. Well that’s my day in a nut shell.
My favorite mascara right now is the Buxom from Bare Escentuals…seriously underrated!
I JUST started using mascara: covergirl lashblast. I used to try every so often but it would just make my eyelashes heavy and impede on my vision! I finally bought an eyelash curler and I can actually wear mascara now! Covergirl lashblast so far has worked great!
I’m still on the hunt for the perfect mascara.
Spent the day recording at the studio for a CD fundraiser. Now time for some homework…

Helped a 12 year old girl pick out her first makeup at work today! Tinted Moisturizer, Lip Gloss, a little bit of blush, eyeshadow, and mascara. I was glad they picked me, I think my coworkers would have overdone it!

I’ve just recently started getting into makeup and I’m 22! My parents and past mates have always been strongly opposed to vanity and mocked women with a lot of makeup. But I’m realizing it’s not about vanity or being tricked by the beauty companies, it’s about fun and confidence and that’s worth something. I spend extra time in the morning to get ready because I am happier when I can take pride in the front I present to the world. I was completely uneducated about beauty, and it seemed so overwhelming at first, but luckily I found a few honest wonderful blogs like this one who steered me through this new frontier. Thanks for being a great guide!

lesley, I have to tell you they’re the only ones I use! They’re velvety; once you go NARS you can’t go back! I’ve heard great things about Urban Decay though. I recently bought some NYX shadows and realized how spoiled I’ve been all these years being exclusively NARS. Nothing compares in my experience. I’d like to try Dior maybe, but NARS is all I need. And there’s so many of the new colors that I want I don’t have time to try more.

I went to the makeup portion of trendshow at Nordtrom yest and wore NO makeup. Big mistake, the NARS artist asked what I wanted and I said drama. On a scale of 1-10 I got a 1 in drama. Next time I’m going in full make-up so they know how far they can push the drama facotr. I was sad when I left. I def wanted to see their darker shadows but didn’t…..

this is my last week of undergrad EVER. I don’t think that it has hit me yet that it’s almost done.
Right now I am most excited about the new lip product line at Sephora called “Bite.” I got a sample of the gloss, and it’s a really pretty color! The product smooths my middle (or more!) aged lip lines, and moisturizes to boot. It also doubled well as a blush- it was a perfect shade for me (Geranium.) When I applied it as a blush, it left absolutely no tacky feeling on my cheeks. 🙂
I love lancome juicy tubes. Just visited a lancome cco and purchased the flavor rose nectar. Gorgeous!

My favorite mascara and the only one i used was imju fiberwig mascara, because it was the only non waterproof mascara that held curl for me. They changed the name and formula and it unfortunately does not do anything for my straight asian lashes. And I payed $31 for it here in Canada.
My brother and I are left handed, but my sister used to be able to write with both hands when she was little. I was so jealous of her, but now she is right handed.

I’ve only ever tried drugstore brand mascaras, but Maybelline makes pretty good ones in my opinion. I like Lash Stiletto right now… the brush grabs every lash and makes my short Asian lashes look really long without clumping 🙂
