Yup, he totally gets into St. Patrick’s Day every year. Green gravy, Feline Greenies, the whole nine yards.
We have to celebrate at home now, though, because he got banned from both of Novato’s Irish bars, which, of course, means I have to plan the party.

I am not sure if I am celebrating St Patrick’s Day yet. But I am definitely going to paint my nails green. My favorite green nail polish is Mojito Madness from last summer’s collection. I never wear green eye shadow but I should get on the trend with the whole emerald color of the year thing. Have an awesome weekend!

I have NEVER worn green shadow. I’m 57 and have never gotten into shadows BUT I want too. I have heavy hooded eyes. I had them years ago and didn’t know how to do makeup and now my heavy hooded eyes are exremely droopy, wrinkled and crap. I would still like to learn. Which I had a teacher. 🙂

I used an olive green Inglot eyeshadow for a wedding recently.
I’ve never been to Ireland, but I am friends with an Irish guy whose name is Paddy. His defining characteristic is that he’s always late for everything, airplanes, pub crawls, you name it, so much that “pulling a Paddy” is now a byword in our social circle.

I won’t be celebrating St. patrick’s day, seeing as I’m not American or Irish, but I have been to Ireland. I went to Dublin with my family a few years ago. I really liked it. It was clearly a city but it wasn’t huge and busy and suffocating, a feeling that I sometimes get in large cities. It felt more like several small towns that formed a big town together. I remember wanting to stay. The atmosphere was great and the people were nice. 🙂

Yep, been to Ireland several times. Married an Irishman from Cork. Should be on everyone’s must-see list. Beautiful country and wonderful people. Accents are charming–but some are so thick I couldn’t understand them. Growing up in Ireland, Himself tells be St. Pat’s Day was a religious holiday. None of this green beer and wild parties. Oh, did you know that only Catholics wear the green (at least in the old days)? Protestants wear orange. Erin go bragh.

I’m part (can ya tell from the name), but don’t really celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The kids in grade school would pinch you if you didn’t wear green (so kids who forgot would get green ink pen and mark their hands), and once in a while I’ll do corned beef and cabbage (yum!). That’s about it.
I used to own Nars Ireland e/s duo for years until it went bad, and it’s been discontinued, so now I have Habanera. If I remember I’ll wear it tomorrow. 🙂

Hmm…not sure I’ve ever tried green nail polish. I keep wanting to get a dark kind of emerald or hunter green shade, but haven’t found one I’m totally in love with.
As for bubble baths, I took a bath today! It didn’t have bubbles, but I was liberal with the epsom salts, which always work wonders on a sore body and jangled nerves.

My Saint Patrick’s Day mani utilizes my two green polishes, and then slapping every shade of gold glitter I have on top of it. So shiny.
This has been an in-bed-all-day weekend, and I love it.
My favorite green nail polishes are A-England’s Dragon and Saint George…as for green eye shadow I’d love to wear it just scared to, I love Moss from the Tarte for True Blood palette just no clue how to use it.
It’s late-ish Saturday night, and all of my fuzzies are sleeping except for the kitten, who is knocking things off the table. I’m watching YouTube beauty videos, and catching up on my favorite beauty blogs.

Today my husband and I took our dogs to a local bar for Yappy Hour. The bar had the patio open for people to bring their dogs for a few hours, with part of the proceeds going to the Humane Society.

I was born on St. Patrick’s Day and I’ve met/known at least 4 other people who are also born on St. Paddy’s. In Boston, we usually have the day off because it also happens to be Evacuation Day.

Hey Karen! So I have never, EVER worn anything green on my face. Ever. I’ve always wanted to try something adventurous like emerald green liner or something like that, but I’ve never actually had the guts to wear it outside my house! I’m talking like, not even khaki eyeshadow. BUT. I’m absolutely dying to try it. I love love loooove seeing all your posts with you wearing this stunning makeup like blue smoky eyes, and thinking, oh my God she looks incredible, but I’m too scared that I’ll mess it up if I try it! With St. Patty’s day being today, I desperately wanted to test it out; I applied some winged liner in a gorgeous greeny-gold shade and was about to leave my house before I wiped it all off with a cloth, not feeling NEARLY confident enough to actually face the world in green feline makeup. Do you have any tips for introducing a LITTLE color into everyday makeup looks? I want just a little something to add punch to my style on a daily basis. I absolutely ADORE your blog. I’ve never been to Ireland but I may be going in two years! I’m 100% Irish, and I didn’t go when I was abroad (disappointing), but my brother is going to be studying there in 2015, which is my parents 25th wedding anniversary and that’s their present – a family trip to the homeland!

I painted my nails China Glaze Four Leaf Clover with white polka dots on my ring fingers 🙂 I also wore my Rimmel Exaggerate Eyeliner in Emerald Sparkle on my lower lashline, with UD Sidecar on the Lid and Buck in the crease!

I am such a sucker for bluish-greens (like mints and teals); they’re probably my favorite color I like on my nails so there’s no way I could easily narrow it down to one nail polish. But one awesome true green that I really love is China Glaze’s Four Leaf Clover. It’s just the most unique, bright, electric kelly green that doesn’t go quite full neon. I’m sure a lot of people might hate this shade but I think it’s awesome. In some lights, it looks a little blue and others quite yellow; I still can’t put my finger on whether its cool, neutral, or warm. Having it on in the spring just boosts my mood. Plus, I’m not sure if this is still the case, but it was only $2 on the Ulta website for a very long time about a year ago!

I’m really not adventurous with my makeup so the last time I rocked a green eye was last year in a school theater production. 🙂 But if I want to switch things up, I really love using an olive/khaki green liner. (Prestige Total Intensity and Tarina Tarintino Hyperliner are the ones I have but it’s a very common shade.)
My favorite green nailpolish is OPI’s jade is the new black. Totally dropped the ball on painting them for St. Pat’s this year though. Oh well.

last thursday, i went out to lunch w/ my work crush – a tradition we do every payday – so i got all pretty & wore my new yellow skirt & wedge sandals – as we were walking to his car, i got out of balance and bam i was on the grass – and i thought to myself, i wish this grass is quick sand – my crush saw me splatter on the ground – so humiliating – and whats worse was at the end of the day, he had to bring me to urgent care, i fractured my wrist from the fall & will be on cast for 6-8 weeks – i swear, the things we do for men to notice us, girls! deep sigh…
I’m exhausted for no reason. I’m dearly missing my Guy, who’s away for a week. 🙁
