I remember when I got the news that I was hired at my DREAM job – I screamed for FIVE solid minutes once I got off the phone. I had wanted to work at this place since I was SIXTEEN. I remember when I went into a couple college admissions counselors and they’d just look at me funny when I told them where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do.
But I did it – hell yea. ;D
Anyways – not quite the same BUT my point is that it’s such an amazing feeling when you’re given that once-in-a-lifetime kind of opportunity and it pulls through in a positive way.

Wow, my first MAC… it was 1991 or 1992 sophomore or junior year of high school, Rubine and Verushka lipsticks, followed eventually by Paramount and Viva Glam I ! They don’t even make those first two anymore! How’s that for shades from the 90s?!?

My first MAC product was a dark purple lipstick that i bought in the 9th grade! I wish I could remember the name of the color….
I’m a bit sad that the matte gel liner from Inglot didn’t work too well on me. It smudged a bit, and I could remove it with a simple baby wipe. No super glue strength on me.
Now if MAC let me create my own lipglass or eyeshadow.. how many backups should I have? At least enough to show my great granddaughter 😛

Hmm I think my first MAC product was a lipgloss!
My first Mac product has got to be mineralized skin finish natural in medium plus, which the Mac makeup artist colour matched me to. That was the first timelearned from experience that when buying face products don’t wear heavy base makeup on 🙁 medium plus is a bit darker than my actual shade and I have oily skin so it oxidizes after a while to make me really dark. And I’m not sure if it gave me breakouts!
My second and third Mac products, hibiscus and bust out worked out much

I started to buy MAC in 2006 and my first product was a LE Plushglass called Angel Cream. I totally loved it and still do! (I still got it and it’s good to use – believe it or not) (other lipglosses by MAC didn’t last that long and taste horrible after a while, sadly)
I’m a total lip products junkie and own lots of lipsticks and lipglosses from MAC by now. My favorites are still the plushglasses and the cremesheen glasses.

Yesterday, I ordered from the MAC Bloggers’ Obsession Collection and I spent a hefty amount of money. I can’t wait to receive my products because I know they will be sooooo worth it!

Have the most amazing recipe for apple strudel.. Made it the other night and everyone loved it!.. Thought i could share it will all of you..
4 green skinned apples, peeled, cored and diced
80g butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 caster sugar
1/2 cup of raisins or sultanas
Teaspoon of cinnamon
and … i like to add a teaspoon of vanilla extract
2 sheets of puff pastry, cut in half
1. Heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius or 355 Fahrenheit. Peel, core and dice the apples and place them in a saucepan along with both the sugars, the butter, raisins, cinnamon, and vanilla if you are adding the vanilla extract. Cook until the apple softens
2. Drain the apple mixture and reserve the liquid. Let mixture cool.
3. Place a quarter of the mixture along each sheet of puff pasty, fold into a rectangle and seal edges. You can roll them upwards so they look nice and become crunchy.
4. Brush rectangles with reserved liquid
5. Put into a hot oven and cook for 15 – 20 minutes, until golden and crispy
6. Enjoy!!!

My firts MAC makeup was the studio finish powder plus foundation. I saw it from my friend and then I bought one for myself and I loved it. I’m using it until now. 🙂

I have always been a fan of MAC products. My first eye shadow, Electric Eel, has forever changed my interpretation of makeup artistry. As a makeup artist, I can appreciate the open canvas MAC gives its consumers to be creative with their look.
My first MAC product was a lipstick, gloss and pencil won in a contest, those are the only ones I have. Wish I had more. I have the pencil in dervish and love it. I would love to win the card to try some of the eye products!

Back in the mid 90’s I would only wear MAC lipstick and the guys in english class called my favorite shade “moon-mud” because it was a purplish brown, and of course I had the chestnut lip-liner.

Oh boy, MAC talk! My first MAC product was a 6 pan eyeshadow from the Christmas 2005 collection. To make a long story short, it was the first Christmas I spent single, having gone through a separation that year, and at that time, MAC was to me, pure extravagant luxury. I remember buying it as a “Hah! My money, my choices on what to spend it on!”, it was actually a very empowering moment after a long and tough divorce, and the first time, as an adult, that I was really able to spend money independently. I still have it, it was called “Trend” and has very loud, colorful, soft and buttery colors that I still love; bright yellow, emerald green, taupe, heathered purple, mushroom and a deep blue, all lustrey and shimmery. Gorgeous! And yes I just realized that the compact is 6 years old and I still use it….haha!

My first MAC purchases were products I loved from my wedding makeup- Studio Tech in NC 20, blush in Margin, Lusterglass in Love Nectar, and then a brush, brush cleaner and makeup removing wipes. I can’t wear the Studio Tech anymore but Love Nectar is still one of my absolute favorite lip glosses!

My first MAC product was Electric Eel eyeshadow, which I bought back in… 2005. You see, back in high school I was in band. I played the flute during concert season, but during marching season I was in colorguard. We wanted to stand out and be seen so our wacky (but talented!) coordinator said we should have a bright, eyemask-like and red lip. The colors of our uniform that year were purple, bright orange (neon, almost) and… you guessed it. The same Electric Eel blue. I had never bought MAC or even looked at their display previously but when I went in to buy EE, I was mesmerized. I vowed to myself that I would eventually own them all… and thus, my MAC obsession started. ^^; I didn’t really get into the LE game until last year. But never did I think after setting eyes on Electric Eel I would be a goner for MAC. 😀

Well, how exciting! I read this blog religiously. My very first MAC product made me fall madly in love with the brand. It was a studio fix fluid foundation. I had been using the Covergirl Queen Collection, but due to availability in my city, I switched to MAC. I loved the experience of buying, the expert match to my skin tone, and it’s worth every penny of my poor college budget hahah. I LOVE MAC.
My 1st MAC purchase….Prrr lipglass. Currently wanting Viva Glam V lipglass since my favorite Viva Glam VI Special Edition (Fergie) is discontinued.
I am embarrassed to say that my first MAC purchase was for the cute bag! Inside was a glittery eye pigment which I love. ….and I still love the bag, too 🙂

I bought my first MAC product when I was 15, I’m 19 now. I didn’t purchase just one item, but a few. Very big, false lashes, I think they were 48 or 44 – can’t remember and I’ve lost them late last year, after having them for YEARS! A nude lipgloss, which I gave to my mom, and ‘aloof’ lipstick! I used up that tube of lipstick so quickly, the obsession really started from there LOL.

I try to avoid MAC products to add variety to my collection (and because i can’t normally afford it. I only have 4 products by them) but it’s just so addicting! i bookmarked the website cause i like looking at their stuff!
the highlight of my day has been getting up at 6:30 am for my crossfit class, i’ve been going for 6 months but never in the am.

For prom I always would get my makeup done by my favorite artist at the counter, who still does my makeup to this day. My first purchase was Studio Fix NC45 quickly followed by many eyeshadows, lipglasses, lipsheens, & other products that caught my eye. MAC is by far my fave makeup brand.

I moved all of my eyeshadows to a palette and was able to recycle 24 containers. Left the MAC store with 4 new products- pretty damn cool.
I have never owned a MAC product before but I was toying with the idea of getting their lacquers. Almost did one time when I saw some at the outlets but I passed since the shades weren’t the ones I was looking for. 🙁
The highlightS of my day are:
*coming home from work and being greeted by my cat, Monsa, who comes running down the stairs when she hears the door open. Eyes only half- open (her favorite sport is sleeping…), a little wobbly and oh so cute:)

Its tough to remember but I think my first purchases from MAC were a Studio Fix Plus in C4 and eyeshadows in Chill and Sketch. And I loved the Grape liner. I remember how excited I was when they came out with a deep purple liner. I used to wear it with Lust lipstick, both I think are discontinued. So is Chill. Boo. 🙁

My very first MAC product was many, many years ago- MAC Spice lip pencil. I was pretty young, so I have no idea why this appealed to me so much, but I HAD to have one! I must have seen it in a magazine or something!
I am not a big fan of Mac but I do have some Mac products. My first Mac product is the187 brush. I was so excited when I got it, but somehow after a little while I wasn’t too crazy about that brush any more LOL. I am looking forward getting some single eyeshadows and pigments from Mac !
More than any specific product, I love mac’s creativity and willingness to take risks… sometimes what they do with certain collections is actually even a little off-putting, but at least they’re never boring. What other company would do a blogger collection??

So as for my first MAC product it was “Nico” lipglass back in 99/00 I believe….ahhh the sparkles called my attention when I first seen my cousin’s gf at the time pull it out of her makeup bag!!! Straight to MAC I went and picked it up as well as “Oh Baby”
That is what created this addition! 🙂 hahaha
My first Mac product was their eyeshadows. I bought like 20 eyeshadows at ONCE. Crazy, but well worth it. The quality is one of the best that I have come across.

My first (and up till now only) mac product is their matte bronzer. Comes in handy for contouring and works as an eyeshadow as well!

I remember going to the MAC counter at macys the day of my high school prom (wanted to get my makeup done for free!) and was coherched into buying something. Wasn’t much of a makeup fan back then… But lipglass changed my life! Probably went through the tube in less than a month lol

I only discovered MAC about a year ago, actually. The first time I went into a MAC store it happened to be on To The Beach launch day, so my very first MAC items were Marine Life, Sweet & Punchy, Firecracker, Humid, and Splashing lipglass 🙂 To The Beach is still one of my favorite collections I’ve been around for (along with Venomous Villains, of course).

My first MAC product… This required a bit of thinking :P. I’m sure it was one of their mascaras because this was when I was still on a quest to find my HG, although I couldn’t tell you which one anymore because they’re constantly cutting the old and making new.
But even more interesting – MAC was my first non-drugstore cosmetic purchase! My best friend is obsessed with all things MAC, and convinced me all those years ago that I would never find my perfect mascara in a drugstore, so MAC it was :-)!

I can’t tell you how many people I’ve led into the MAC fold . . .LOL! I know, however, that my first purchase was CLUB eyeshadow. I fell in love with how it looks wet on the eye, and the duochrome changes depending on what you pair it with. I believe that my next purchase was powder . . . and once I saw that the line had a wide range of foundation colors, I was absolutely hooked. It is my dream and my goal in life to own their entire collection of eye shadow. 😀

My first MAC product was a powerpoint pencil (I think that’s what it’s called?) about five or six year ago. It disappointed me so much (felt very ordinary and didn’t last on the waterline) that I took it back and got a fluidline in blacktrack instead. That also was a disappointment when it dried out pretty quick, and wasn’t very black. I’ve since found a better black gel liner in cheapie ol’ wet n’ wild.
So, I think MAC can make some good stuff, you just gotta pick and choose which ones to drop the cash on. And I *loved* the disney collection (particularly maleficint), and the liners from the feline collection. I’m really interested in seeing what they’ve got for the precious collection.

Actually believe it or not, I have never tried any MAC products yet! I would love to, but many of their products just do not fit my limited budget and this gift card would really help me acquire a few things that I have been wanting.
My first MAC product was Sheer Plum lipstick. My older sister bought me it (probably didn’t like the colour on her… she’s not normally that generous). At the time I wasn’t allowed to wear lipstick/gloss to school and I wasn’t into makeup anyway to put up much protest, but I adored having it because it made me feel grown up. And yes, it still makes me feel that way.
I like MAC blushes but their lipsticks are just to drying.
I have to say that after months of Chicago winter, the 75 F weather is the highlight of my day, beautiful… My first MAC product was Fix +, and even though I own quite a few lip glosses, I still haven’t gotten any from MAC. I think my first will be Evolution Revolution!

All that happened was I destroyed my Achilles tendon, so now I have to work my face even more because high heels don’t work for me anymore 😉 Right now I’m wearing Girl About Town which I bought in April on my first ever trip to the States…NYC no less! I’ve layered Urban Decay VInyl over the top – I never layered any lip colours til I read your blog. I think my very first MAC product may have been Bronze Star Lipglass. Oh, how I wish they’d repromote that shade. I remember that some of my very first purchases were Oh Baby and the clear Lipglass. I also got some peachy lipgloss/stain that they stopped making ages ago and Spice lip pencil. It used to be that I would rarely go to the MAC counter because they were a little stuck up and not very nice and it was a bit intimidating. Now, they’ve stopped blasting obnoxious music and the people are super nice. Some of them even remember my name when I go there. 🙂

Hi Karen. My first purchase from MAC was a long time ago, almost too long to remember! It was a little cosmetic bag that had some nail polish in it. the colors were a gold polish and a purple polish. I liked them so much I then explored some of their brushes. I still have my original brush purchases, a blush and a powder brush. Of course, now I have so much MAC I can hardly store it all. MAC rocks!

As a 30+ yr old, I’m just now really getting into makeup… to the point I may need professional help! ( or at least my wallet does 🙂 At any rate, I’ve just never had much time, need, money, or place to wear it much. But when I have, it’s almost always been MAC. don’t really even know why, maybe because it was the first I ever owned (which was Viva Glam IV lipstick).

My first MAC product was Pinkarat lipgloss… which I bought about 6 yrs ago and still have it with 1/4 of the product left. Not a fan of lipgloss anymore. Love me some lipsticks tho.
Omg, Honeylust eyeshadow…I wore it every day…I was a newbie so I had tons of fallout, but I loved it.

My very first MAC item was a lip conditioner (plain). I just but Krazy Kahuna from the Surf Baby collection I love it so much. The collection I am most excited for is Glamgloss, I love pigmented glossy products, I missed out on the Kissable Lipcolors ; the one’s I was planning to get were Flaunting it, Super and Temper Tantra 🙁 gonna go CCO hunting 😀

Fresh eggs taste so much better than old eggs that have been sitting in the fridge!
Since its so hot out, i’ve been getting a tan….. this means I need darker foundation. A mac giftcard would really help out!
Hummm… no highlights today but, the other day on my way home I had the funnest drive of my life.
Starting out as soon as a exited work, I ran into a friend who I hadn’t seen in forever. After getting my car and driving out of the parking lot as I stopped at the light, there was a man in the middle of the road playing a violin ( I play so… I felt the need to go home, get mine, and join him). A little further down the road a set of stoplights was going haywire. They were flashing all three colors in quick succession, so there were some cops directing traffic. I was able to take a video of it on my phone to show people once I’d gotten home 🙂
After a lackluster day at work, my drive home was fun.
The highlight of my day was finding on of my favorite books, which I had thought was lost forever. Turns out it was just hiding behind my bookcase!
I’ve received Courting Rose lipglass as a gift but I’ve never bought MAC… I’m excited to try out other MAC products!
Sleeping in late was the highlight of my day 🙂

my first mac product was a brush (the only mac brush i own lol) but i still like and use it 😉
My very first MAC products were sample baggies of some pigments: Dark Soul, Circa Plum, Push the Edge, and Golden Olive. I have about ten or twelve now, I think New Zealand only has one MAC store (not in my city!) and so I buy the baggies from a girl who does. You get about 1/4tsp of pigment for NZ$5 so it’s a much less expensive way to buy MAC 🙂
Believe it or not my first MAC product was a msf from the Wonder Woman collection! I’m hooked on MAC now and definitely looking to increase my stash 🙂

I think the last time I counted I had about 60-70 lipglosses. I am about to add 2 lipglasses to that collection. Which 2? Well, none other than Karen’s Evolution Revolution! I bought 2 tubes. The first Mac product I ever purchased was the Studio Fix powder. I used to wear it religiously. I probably should start using it again now that summer is here.

My first mac product was a blacktrack fluid gel liner and it was my first gel liner as well. It was like love at first try. It was so smooth and gentle & the deepth of the black was so rich! That’s my favorite liner 🙂

My first ever MAC product was Viva Glam IV. Some friends gathered for a pre-Christmas dinner at Top Chef contestant Kevin Gillespie’s restaurant The Woodfire Grill here in Atlanta. We were all so excited to try out his food in person after seeing him the show and drooling shamelessly over the dishes he created! My always stylish friend Hilary showed up looking fabulous; she’d had her makeup done at the MAC counter and I fell in love with her lipstick. For Christmas, she surprised me by giving me that very lipstick, Viva Glam IV! I still have it, love it, and wear it during Fall and Winter!
