Yup, the vamps are back in Bon Temps, and I for one am thrilled! I gotta admit, though, I had my doubts after the first episode of the new season. That Power Rangers/LOTR vignette in the San Fernando Valley Fairyland looked a little too much like the landing party scenes from the original Star Trek series, if ya know what I mean. I kept expecting Captain Kirk to jump onscreen with a phaser and shout, “Sookie, this way! Enterprise, beam us up!”
LOL! But seriously, haven’t the past two episodes been great? I’m totally digging the new storylines with King Bill, Eric, the coven, and Jason and the were-panthers (great name for a band!), and I really like not knowing where things are headed.
What do ya think about the relationship between Jessica and Hoyt? Doomed or meant to be? Part of me likes Jessica better when she’s flying solo just to see what she does with her makeup when she goes out, ha!
Pam, as usual, has been looking fierce. I wonder how she feels about Tarte…

I don’t wear red lipstick often so I’ve only got 2- Elizabeth Arden Red Door and Lorac Ruby. The Lorac is also the only matte lipstick I have, but it’s so gorgeous!

My favorite palette right now is probably NYX’s Bohemian Rhapsody 10-eyeshadow palette. I love how there’s a mix of matte and glittery shades, yet they all work together and the formula is great on all of them!

I have a set of 4 mini cheek stains from Tarte that I love. I use them pretty much every day. I wish they’d come out with more colors in the minis, but only in the old formula and not the clay infused one. I tried it and really did not like it at all.

I like my steaks rare! I gues I’d fight right in with the vamps, huh? I’m really trying to expand my lipstick collection but my favorite red is the classic MAC Russian Red. I also have a shade called Raspberry by Revlon (colorburst) that I love; however, I’m not too keen on the formula. It’s a deepened red with a bit of a shimmery sheen and a pinkish tone to it… If anyone knows of a good dupe, let me know!

I love True Blood, it’s my favourite show! I’m really loving this season so far, and I agree the first ep was pretty lame with the fairy parts. But I love how cute Eric is being with the shy apologies, lol! And did you notice Sookie was reading a Charlaine Harris book at the kitchen table when she was waiting for eric before Claudine came outside her house? I thought that was a nice touch!

This palette looks great! About the show, it seems like these first few episodes are really packing on the extra humor! Puppy dog Eric has me laughing in tears and it seems like all the characters are just refreshed to start the new season. I like Bill so much better when he’s in control of himself rather than moping after “Sookehhh.” Also, I think this is Pam’s season to shine and kick some serious butt–anyone’s. 🙂

I only have one Tarte product – the Clean Slate primer. I love the texture that it gives my skin and that it has Sephora’s “Natural Seal”, meaning no parabens, sulfates, etc.

I’ve honestly been kind of disappointed with True Blood. After reading the books, the Show just doesn’t live up to them. It changes plot details and after Season One, it just kind threw the plotlines in the book out the window and did it’s own thing and it just didn’t work for me.
I love LOVE True Blood and this concept with the red cheek and lip stains are just too cool! This would be a good excuse for me to finally try some Tarte products =D

I feel the same as you about True Blood this season. I wasn’t sure I was liking it, but it ended up getting good. I am loving Eric, and hope to see more of Alcide. I am so jealous of Lafayette, cause I’m a girl and he STILL wears his makeup better, lol. And I also agree with the Jessica thing. Her “being bad” makeup and hair are gorgeous, and wish she would always do her makeup like that. The worse she gets, the better her makeup gets. 🙂

Oooh, I’ve been lusting after this palette (since I’m a fanatic for both True Blood and Tarte!). I actually don’t know my blood type exactly – I used to, but I’ve forgotten. I know it’s o-something. I should probably find out! My favorite red lipstick these days is MUFE Rouge Artist Intense #44. Just a bit deeper than the usual Russian Red type, and it works really well with my almost-a-freaking-vampire paleness!
I love this season so far. Last season was kind of disjointed (especially seeing it week-to-week instead of all in one mad marathon). Though the Jar-O’-Talbot down the garbage disposal moment is totally one of my favorite things ever. I wish Lafayette would go back to a shaved head, though 😛 New Eric is pretty hilarious. Still an evil bastard, but now he’s all apologetic about it!

I do not yet own any Tarte products because I can’t get over the price! My pockets are small, but I’m pretty sure I will one day push past this hesitation 🙂 They seem really worth the cost.

I have no idea what my blood type is, and I don’t know how I’ve managed to get to my age without the knowlege of this. It’s pretty bad, right?
My favourite eyeshadow right now is half-baked by UD. It’s a golden shimmer colour and it goes well with a great variety of other shades. I <3 it!!!

I recently discovered I was actually O positive after giving blood … And now I am getting spam mail by the blood bank asking for more donations since my blood type is so rare.

I only know my blood type because I donated blood and got one of those donor cards. I don’t normally read paranormal books, but I’m currently reading The Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy by Maggie Stiefvater and I would choose her werewolves over any other literary werewolves, except for maybe the werewolves in the Harry Potter series. (Book 1 is Shiver, book 2 is Linger, and book 3 is Forever.) I love any and all red lipsticks so it’s difficult to choose a favorite! I don’t own any Tarte products.

Funny you ask about blood types~ About 3 years ago, my sister had to have major surgery to correct scoliosis (major surgery as in, correct her curvy spine with metal rods and bolts).
One of the criteria for prepping for surgery was to be able to donate blood before hand so there is less chance of rejection/contamination from donated blood. Naturally I volunteered because my sister has 2 major phobias. Needles and blood. She sees a needle she buckles, she feels a prick and sees blood, she passes out white as a ghost. I got tested and fate would have it: A+. She barely survived her blood type test, and when the results came back she was B+.
And I’m not kidding you, I would have happily rolled up both sleeves and told a nurse to prick me in both arms for my little sister, just to spare her from her phobias. She ended up receiving donated blood and I ended up donating blood at a blood drive done by the hospital.
Paying it forward, ya know?
