I have never tried any NYX, since you can’t get it anywhere in Belgium. I’m also not that fond of ordering online so I never was able to put my hands on it ..

Interestingly, one of my favorite NYX products is their One Night in Morocco palette, which consists of matte smokey eyeshadows. 😛 They have neutral colors in it that reminds me of this NYX Nude on Nude palette.

Today I tried out my new NYX Round Gloss in Bronze. It’s nice, but a little too orange for me. I am wearing it with a light brown lipstick to even out the orangey part. 🙂

Well I think I can talk about anything and go one forever but I’ll talk about my first car. Here’s how the story goes. Prior to getting my first car ever, I couldn’t afford a car by myself and I depended on getting the car from my father. Because of that , I had to get a car that my father agree on. Guess who went car shopping with me ? OF COURSE MY FATHER. So we made a couple trips out of town to look for cars, and the ones that I want , my father did not quite agree or something is wrong with the car during test drives. Finally, one weekend , we came upon a 1997 toyota camry , goodness my father was all over that car as if he wanted it. I had no interest at all standing like 3 ft from the car and pretended to nod my head as my father ask questions after questions to see if I agree with him. So he and the car salesman took the car for a test drive, which I did not go (You know why). After the test drive, my father came back all satisfy with everything. I was thinking to myself , please do not try to buy that car because WHY? Well I thought that car was so ELDERLY LOOKING (OG STYLE) and I just did not see myself driving that car. I thought the car was a good fit for my father , but ironically he wanted to get me that car, I guess…so ………he can drive it too once and awhile. SO , I was thinking for a very long time to see if I should get the car or be rebellious. Well, thinking to myself , its no big deal getting a car, as long as it’s drivable and takes to places . I guess when I start earning and saving , then I’ll get a car that I want and like. So , we ended up getting the car and now that I think of it, the car was not too bad . I’m still with the car and starting to like it :).
This palette looks like a combo of the UD naked palette and too faced’s natural eye palette, but with lip products, fun!

I have definitely come to appreciate the good quality and low price of Nyx’s makeup line. I bought some glitter liquid eyeliners and they apply so beautifully. I don’t often have a need for those kind of liners but those were absolutely great.

I’ve only ever tried a NYX Round Lipgloss in Real Nude(which I love and I’m pretty much scraping inside the tube now), and a Round Lipstick in Tea Rose(which broke and I’ve yet to fix it). Haha! Definitely planning to get more of the others.

My favorite product by nyx is The diamond sparkle lipgloss in pink sparkle VERY CUTE. My prom was in 2008, and it was ok, i mean i went alone because before me and my boyfriend(at the time) got together he promised a friend he would go with them..so he didnt go with me and he hardly talked me well correction he didn’t talk to me SOOO i broke things off girll and enjoyed my only and last prom with my friends 🙂

I’m dying to get the Cinnamon blush from NYX.
I love nyx! I have tried their foundie, primer from the HD line, round lipsticks and lipgloss. Only the eyeshadows are left…since i am in a budget mode, they will need to wait awhile…:)
so pretty! would come in handy on my trip to spain 🙂

I have tried the NYX jumbo eye pencil and indeed it does bring out the color of the eyeshadow layered on it and their lip glosses are pigmented as well. I would like to try their eyeshadow since i didn’t own any of them.

I’ve never used NXY products but the color sure looks real nut-good. First car was and is a used 2007 Ford Focus, and plan on driving it forever.

I heard a lot of good things about NYX’s lipsticks….the wide color range plus cheap price! I haven’t try anything from them though….

my fave nyx product so far has to be the smoky eye palette, the small one with two drawers. the top drawer holds 9 eye shadows in variations of black and grays, the bottom holds 2 lip products. they go together so well!

I’m in need of a nude eye shadow palette. A bit of an eyeshadow newbie (I always fall back on a bright lip) so I figure nude would be a good way to phase into the ‘eye makeup’ world 🙂

I’ve only ever tried one nyx product which is one of their old eyeshadows and I like it, but I really must try some more products as they seem amazing, love how this is similar to the urban decay naked palette!

I got to go to two proms – my own, and my boyfriends at the time – I wore a beautiful white dress, and my guy wore blue to his prom and red to mine (our favourite colours) it was awesome!

This weekend is an extended one here in Lisbon (Portugal), because both last Friday and next Monday are holidays (the first one national and the second one regional). We are having the “Lisbon parties” this weekend, where every neighborhood organizes huge parties with music and food (and everyone is welcome) and tonight we’ll have a themed parade, where every neighborhood participates. There’s a different theme every year, it lasts until Monday morning and in the end we select one winner. It’s a very typical, fun and down to heart celebration and every time a foreigner friend of mine decides to visit Lisbon I suggest they choose this time of the year.
I don´t remember using a lipstick other than in a stick…it would be a nice first time, so here I go!

So anyway, back in my high school days I would help my friends whenever they had video projects that needed to be filmed. This particular project was on social norms, and they had to record themselves breaking social norms. I, of course, graciously volunteered to be the camerawoman so I could get some upclose and personal shots of my friends in their not-so-finest-moments. My friend, lets call her Stephanie, decided that the social norm she would break is: makeup. She walked into Sephora and slathered on foundation that was about two shades too light, different colored eyeshadow on her lids, bright pink blush in perfect circles on the apples of her cheeks, and to top it all off, she used black liquid liner to fill in her brows. I dubbed her, CLOWNY-CAKES. It suited her well, she was caked with make-up and she did look like a clown.
After leaving Sephora, (and giving a quick peek back to the horror-stricken workers) Steph and I took a tour of the mall. I walked a few steps in back of her to catch all of the stares, double-takes, and snickers as person after person passed us by. The best part of the video came when Steph went up to a security guard and asked for directions; he couldn’t even look at her, let alone give her directions! At the end of the day, we went back to Sephora and stood in front of their mirrors trying to rub off all of the makeup. It took us a good 30 minutes or so, LOL.
As I edited the video, I noticed that the only thing Steph really did wrong in Sephora was picking the wrong products to put on her face. Her application was flawless, and I was beginning to see what she’s been trying to tell me all this time; makeup is art. Her obsession finally made sense to me, and as I tip-toed into my sister’s room; instead of trying to find her hidden money pouch, I went straight to her vanity.
And thus began the curious case of my make-up obsession.
Today is my Bday!!
I love Saturday BBQ’s, kids screaming and jumping in the pool, the grown-ups chillin’ in the spa, my hubby running around shoving tri-tip in everyone’s face. No need for make-up (well maybe just a little) , just a comfy maxi dress and some zories…Summer is here;-)

I recently bought 3 NYX blushes from one of the few (really, there are just two or three!) tiny beauty supply stores in NYC that carry the brand. They were super pigmented and applied so easily, plus all the shades I saw were soft and natural-looking, which is the look I’m into at the moment. Very impressed.
Today I spent my day in Sacramento! I hate this hot sticky weather because I’m so used to East Bay weather. It’s still hot, but not as sticky! On top of that I found my Hello Kitty Vans. Yaaaah! =)
I meant to get the naked palette but it was always out whenever I dropped by!! And the last thing I made was spaghetti with a whole half stick of butter in it. MMM.
i love nyx’s eye shadows! and their eyeliners. those are the only nyx products i have, and i do think they’re AWESOME even though inexpensive. though, i’ve never paid for those products since my friend sells them in her store and gives them to me as presents :]
I really enjoy Nyx! Doll Eye mascara is among my favorite products. High Light eye shadow is fabulous also.

Hope you had a great vacay in Vancouver, the pics look awesome 🙂 I’ve got 3 NYX lipglosses that I love (and of course, I can’t remember their names now) but nothing else since NYX isn’t available here in Malaysia. My Saturday night was spent boogie-ing at a club with my 2 BFs – kinda of a belated bday party for me 🙂 We hadn’t gone clubbing in a while, so we decided to go relive our youths lol.
Last thing I made for dinner? Does that include the oatmeal I made when I worked late last week? No? Ok.. I made lasagna 6-ish months ago. Funny thing about my lasagna is that its pretty good (i got it from my mama!) but people are always mildly disappointed when it shows up at our potluck dinners coz they expect me to make Indian food (I’m Indian, obviously lol). I’m always like “hey, you’re Chinese, do you eat kung pao chicken everyday?” Grrr…
