I’ve seen a bunch of “My boyfriend does my makeup” videos on YouTube and, honestly, I think El Hub would do a decent job…
Granted, he’s been listening to me prattle on about makeup for yeeeeeears, and I’ve heard him say random things like, “Those brows, tho,” so I think he understands the basics.
Like, I know that he knows the difference between concealer and foundation and the order to apply things. Sure, he’d struggle with the blending, but don’t we all? I think that if he stuck to a neutral look, used just one eyeshadow and didn’t go crazytown on my cheeks, he’d do alright.
He’s kind of a joker, though, so I don’t know if he’d take it seriously… He’s liable to tell me that he’s doing a no-makeup makeup look, but I’d end up looking like Robert Smith after a rough night.
How well do you think your boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/partner would fare if they did your makeup? Inquiring minds want to know. 🙂

Today I have to run the grocery store at some point because I’m making the meat sauce for Connor’s birthday lasagna this weekend. I still don’t have an official recipe, BTW, so I guess I’m gonna wing it.
Our little coywolf isn’t so little anymore. Today, March 2nd, is officially her birthday. Here she was on her very first day on earth, exactly one year ago…

Zack would probably do weird things on purpose with makeup. I think he played with mine once and gave me a mustache or something.
This year has been weird. At points the time felt like it was going REALLY slowly, like when she wasn’t sleeping through the night, and when we were first breastfeeding. But at other points it just flew by. She’s got a lot of confidence, it seems, for a baby. I hope she continues to hold onto that!
And haha… I could see El Hub doing something like a curly evil mustache.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! It really seems like you just had her yesterday! My husband would do okay in color selection and basics. I think he’d use way too much base and fail at adding dimension back into the face.
I can’t watch the video due to copyright reasons. Which is probably better, because my daughter is already three and my son will be one on March 7th and a part of me never wants them to grow up. Another part of me can’t wait until they finally move out, but around birthdays the first part takes lead.
Oh, and Mr. Loca would do horrible on purpose, simply because he despises anything makeup related.

I think my bf knows a lot about makeup and he has watched me apply makeup a lot of times so I think he would do a decent job and he has a great sense of different colors working together.

I think my husband would do great! Last Saturday, I got up from our couch fort to get ready for a party we were attending. I told him, I gotta go put my face on. He replied, wait, I’ll do your nose contour with my toes! (Pinning me down with his feet so I won’t get up)
He took me aback, like you know what nose contour is? He’s like yes, you don’t think I hear your YouTube videos or secretly watch you get ready? ❤️

My Hubs would be AWFUL at makeup application. Seriously, he would be all thumbs and wouldn’t even get the concept. He’d be at a total loss, like, “Wha? I don’t even get this.” He’s easygoing, though, so it would be with an amused grin. The thought of the results makes me equal parts laugh and cringe!

I can’t believe how fast, but slow, this first year was. It went by in the blink of an eye but there were definitely periods where I wondered if they would ever end. Does it always go by this fast?
Time has an interesting way of expanding and contracting when you’re a parent, doesn’t it?! I thought it went by really slowly when mine was a toddler. We had fun, but 4-6 PM seemed unending every single day!!! Now that he’s ten and in school, I miss seeing him every second of the day, but I’m so glad we had all that time together when he was little – and that now I can get work done so much more easily!!

Though I shouldn’t be surprised as my youngest (and last child) is almost 2 and a half and I’m an emotional hot mess when I think about it. So tell me… What’s the secret to raising a happy, healthy and well-adjusted daughter?
I think that now that she’s in the teen years it’s knowing she’s hanging out with good friends and always communicating. She knows she can trust me and tell me ANYTHING and I won’t over react and lecture and she knows that I am very patient. Even when I felt like yelling on the inside I always bit my tongue and now she tells me everything…crushes, friend problems etc.
You’ve got plenty of time to get to the teen years ! Enjoy these wonderful years before kindergarten. Hands down my favorite time with my baby girl.
We actually put off preschool a year so I could have her all to myself another year. Best decision I ever made. I know it’s not for everyone, but she’s my one and only. BTW love seeing the pics of Connor!

My hubs doesn’t know the first thing about makeup, and I don’t wear it every day anymore (or even often tbh) so not much chance for him to pick things up. So yeah, I don’t think I’ll be letting him loose on my face any time soon!

Last night was definitely better, but a few nights before that she was awake & grizzling a lot. Very changeable, but we have a loose routine going, and I just try to roll with however she’s feeling at any one time lol.
She’s starting to really interact more now, smiling, cooing, touching at things – it’s really exciting ?

I think my hubby would do a pretty good job at my makeup as well. After all, he knows what a beauty blender is. When I met him though, he was clueless. On one of our first date he told me that my eye makeup made me look like a fish. It was a compliment: it was very shimmery and it reminded him of fish scales. And apparently he thinks they look cool.

OMG! The time is going too fast! She is more and more beautiful each day, congrats for this little princess. I am still here, thinking that I want be a mom… but this 2017 second semester I am planning my “baby time” (it’s time to make my baby!), let’s hope everything will be ok 😉
