I’d love to hear your take on why you love your foundation, tinted moisturizer, powder, concealer, etc, because this gal needs to do some makeup shopping STAT.
For the first time in months, I’ve felt the urge to wear makeup again, hooray!
A little background: I’ve been going uber-minimalist for the past few months, and I’ve whittled my daily beauty routine down significantly. I do a tinted sunscreen with SPF 50, cream blush, under eye color corrector, a brow pencil and mascara on most days. Oh, and setting spray, of course.
A couple weeks ago, though, I got the urge to dig out my Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation tinted moisturizer and some powder blush and, gasp! It felt REALLY good to wear it. Who knows? Maybe a return to a full-face of paint is in the cards for me in the near future.
I think that’s the beauty of makeup. It’s always there for you to come back to it, if and when you want to do so.
Anywho, enough of my rambling. Tell me ALL ABOUT your go-to base products.
I’m excited to hear about them!
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. Happy Saturday! We’re spending a quiet weekend at home after last week’s camping adventure. Today, I’m going to take Connor to an end-of-the-summer dive event, and then we’re doing a little bit of window shopping for school. Have a great day!

Honestly, I’ve just been wearing tone-up SPF lately and a tinted SPF lip balm. The last time I wore foundation was two weeks ago when we went out to dinner for our Anniversary. I think I wore SUQQU Nude Wear Liquid Ex. If it wasn’t that it was Surratt Dew Drops. I used to love Chantecaille Future Skin but I can’t find my jar and seem to only have a small travel pot left. I used to love MAC Face and Body but the new formulation oxidizes within 20 minutes on my skin and it’s no fun looking like an oompa loompa.
Dive event? You mean like spring boards and platforms for jumping into pools? Have fun!
I just started Tarte Creaseless Concealer and it’s really good! Might take the place of my Makeup Forever concealer that I usually use.
I’m mostly a blush and mascara gal with verrrry sensitive skin. I’ve been using Tower 28 blush and mascara. I really appreciate a brand that makes space for us sensitive gals. I have never had a reaction to anything T28 sells. The T28 blush pairs well with Caliray so blown primer. The blush you can totally build up to whatever intensity you wish.
As for skin tint,I go back and forth between glossier tint and Tarte maracuja tint on days that I feel like being extra put together. I never would had imagined being so whatevs.about my appear when I younger.
