Lipstick, liner, nails or something else? Accessories? A power tie?
Despite my drab wardrobe of black stretchy pants and black tees (now that I think about it, I’ve been unintentionally dressing like a mime for the last year and a half, holy sh*t!), I actually love wearing color, and my favorite way to add a quick pop is with a bright lipstick.
I love bright lips! — because, you know, when you do a bright lip on a relatively neutral canvas, it makes you look like you tried. 😉
Colorful liner is another good one. When I’m in the mood to wear colorful eye makeup, I don’t always (as in rarely) feel like investing hours into it and doing elaborate crease work, so when I want to draw attention to my eyes, the quickest way for me is to line them with green, blue, teal or purple liner. So easy! You get so much bang for your buck.
With clothes, since I’m rocking mostly black these days (either that or dark jeans and a tee), I like to add color with a bright purse. I have a red cross-body Kate Spade that I love. Fun and playful sneakers are another good option.

Beautiful photo, Karen! As for your question – it really depends on my mood, sometimes it is a bright matte lip, sometimes a sparkling red eye shadow etc
Hmm. I haven’t in a while, as I love neutral makeup, nails, clothes and purses (I have a few pops, but not too many)
The last pop I did was steamy on the lid, and blended with a grey and black, instead of your standard Browns. I got that idea from you and it turned out really, really nice! I’ll be sure to do it again.
You’re a mime and I’m Johnny Cash. 🙂 I’m literally dressed 100% in black today with no pops of color. I’ve been trying to be a bit better about my shirts, though. I have a bunch that are blue, purple, pink, etc. I think those are my only pops. Sadly, today’s purple is hidden under a black fleece pullover jacket. 🙂
Probably just lipstick. I don’t like using too much color for days on my eyes. I work in an office and keep my eye colors neutral.
I’m with you, eyeliner or lips but I won’t say no to a colored mascara! I like shadows and blushes too but it’s hard to work super out there pops into my current everyday looks.
Makeupwise, bright lips, eyeliner, or eyelids. Clothing wise, patterns on my clothes or jewelry (especially earrings). I also love to add red shoes to a black outfit.
Usually bright lipsticks, but in the summer I like colorful liner on my lower lash line or brighter colors on my nails.
Either orange in my crease or teal on my lower lash line…or even both together if I’m totally feeling it! ?
Lips or eyeliner! I’m probably doing rainbow eyeliner for my Halloween costume.
