When I say the words, “red lipstick,” and I picture a tube of a righteously redolent red, I don’t picture matte pink or coral. I picture a raucous rouge. Of course. But that’s why shades like MAC Relentlessly Red are so fun and interesting — because they don’t just fall into the basic, run-of-the-mill red category.
Relentlessly Red is red…but just barely, because it’s infused with mucho coral.
Even though it’s bold and bright, it’s not a scary scarlet. I still think of it as a “starter” red because of the coral. It’s a lighthearted, playful lippie that looks equally cute with smoky eyes or bare lids with loads of mascara. I fell in love with it last summer, and it’s seen pretty steady action on my pout ever since!

Relentlessly red is my go to lipstick. And I swear every time I go to the MAC counter my little girl immediately grabs the tester and says I should get it, like I don’t have 3 tubes already stashed in different places. Absolutely love this color

Is there even a lip color that doesn’t suit you? This pink is dangerous on me- I probably look cheap with it lol- you on the other hand look most elegant with it!!! ??????
This is my favorite lipstick of all time! It’s my go-to when I need a confidence boost. I’ve been through more than half a tube, which is a lot considering how little I need to reapply. Glad to see it getting some love!

It’s SUCH a good red. When you wear it, what do you usually pair it with? Blush, eyeshadow, etc.?
I wear this shade a ton in the summer, and what I usually do is a natural, perfected base, some glossy highlighter, and nothing else. It’s always so much harder than it sounds to make it look like you’re not wearing foundation while still eliminating redness! And I’m getting better about letting some redness peek through on the day-to-day, but not with this look. Maybe I’ll do the barest hint of contour, and a light bronzer only for nighttime/parties, but I definitely won’t wear mascara, liner, or eyeshadow, and usually only a tinted or clear brow gel. I think that makes the pop of color super modern-looking. I do that with bright orange-reds too. It’s probably the only makeup look I do that doesn’t involve massive quantities of blush!
Karen, I have not swatched Relentlessly Red, but I will next time I’m at MAC.
Now, that aside, the eyeshadow is killing me. Which one is that?

Girl! Believe it or not it’s not technically an eyeshadow. It’s a mix of two blushes! MAC In Extra Dimension Faux Sure and Sweets for My Sweet.

I love red corals! My favorite is Maybelline Color Sensational Matte in Craving Coral.
