Here’s a neutral pink lip combo recipe I love because 1) it’s comprised of three products from the MAC permanent line, so the ingredients aren’t going anywhere, and 2) it goes with almost any and every eye look.
Here’s what you do…
1. Prep your pout with a layer of MAC Prep + Prime Lip.

2. Line and fill in your lips with MAC Lip Pencil in Soar.

3. Apply a layer of MAC Lustre Lipstick in Patisserie.

4. Smile! 🙂

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I always have a love/not-love relationship with lip pencil. I know that lip pencils help to keep lip products from fading or bleeding, especially with older, drier lips, but I tend to avoid liners because they feel dry on my lips. However, I like that combo and maybe a lip primer would help. I have more of a berry-tone to my lips and usually go for something in that range. Any suggestions?
Be well!
Jane,
I had a love hate relationship with lip liners due to the same reasons that you mentioned. But I’ve been really loving these colourpop lip liners so far. They are creamy, they prevent feathering, come in a wide array of colors, and at 5 dollars a piece, these don’t break the bank. Sometimes I just wear these on their own, no lipstick. They are that comfortable and bullet proof!
I hit reply too soon. Try Brink or Lumiere lip pencil. They are close dupes for Mac’s soar.
this is such a natural pink on you like your lips but better
Smile! You have such a pretty smile.
Oh, that reminds me: I should buy Soar! If it works for you, it should work for me (we’re both NC42).
