It never hurts to be prepared, whether in life OR in makeup, I always say. If/when an occasion ever demands a glossy, brick red lip with HELLA gold glitter, MAC’s totally got us covered.
For my lip look today I layered Lustre Lipstick in Resolute Red, a creamy brick red from the upcoming MAC in High Def collection (more on that in a few), on top of Cremestick Liner in Red Enriched.
And to really make it scream par-TAY, I added a mixture of Clear Lipglass and Gold Glitter.

Designed with uber-detailed HDTV in mind, the MAC in High Def collection repromotes several standout items from MAC’s permanent line (Mineralize Skinfinish/Naturals, Face and Body Foundations, and the 188 and 187 brushes) and introduces four new lipstick colors — Close to Real (a light neutral pink), High Def (a neutral coral), Sharp Focus (a deep brownish plum) and Resolutely Red (a creamy brick red). It comes in for a landing on counters September 10.
It’s a shame the only partying I’ll be doing today is in my living room!

What a super-fun lip to wear! That kind of thing always makes me long for the holiday season when it’s easier to get away with more glam makeup looks (at least, easier on my own comfort level)! Resolutely Red is definitely calling to me to try it on when it appears!
This lipstick is sooo mine when it hits stores. I have a serious addiction to red lipstick.

That is the perfect red for us warm types. Yay! I’m so getting this one. I used to shy away from red lips but I’ve since gotten over it so I’m super excited about this lipstick!

Ha ha, today is brush washing day. I meant to do it after I walked Zena but I’ve been sidetracked, obviously. I’ll have to do it after my dinner comes and I eat it.
Ha ha, I’m going to watch It’s Me or the Dog at 8PM my time (it’s 7:20 here). I’m currently watching In the Doghouse and I’m completely appalled by this show as he’s a traditional training method trainer and he just took away all of the shi tsus’ toys!!!! I could never do that to Zena. I love positive reinforcement training. She’s more eager to learn and loves training using the positive method over the traditional method. He’s turning these pets into slaves for their masters! It’s cruel to watch him train these dogs! I would never ever let this guy 100 miles of my home and Zena! I feel like crying for those poor dogs.
