Apologies for just powering my way through this quick look at the new MAC Extra Dimension Eye Shadows, babe. I’ve got a hot date with two clear drawers from The Container Store (yup, operation Get My Sh*t Together is currently underway).
First, I’m so happy to see these being added to the MAC permanent line! I’ve loved ’em for years and have long hoped this would happen.
See…? Sometimes makeup dreams really do come true. 🙂
These long-wearing eyeshadows (I get 8-10 hours) have a super soft, almost creamy formula and come in various levels of shimmer, all with negligible (barely any) fallout. I think they’re abso-friggin-lutely heaven, and I’m sure I’ve gushed about them before…

Blake Lively is GORGEOUS in it. I spent the entire movie just, like, in awe of her hair.
These swatches are gorgeous, but Blake totally steals the show! I can’t remember the last time I went to the movie theater though. Oh, wait! It was last summer to the $1 shows with my kiddos 🙂
I’m so happy about Fathom’s Deep. I missed it the first time around. Really, though, I want one of each.

I have a couple of these and think they’re great so it’s nice to see them added to the permanent line. Although I’m most excited for what I hope is in store like the skin finish powders and blushes becoming perm too. Now those I LOVE!
I’m not a fan of Blake Lively, but really, a chance to ogle makeup through the century? Count me in!
I just got home from The Longest Ride, but I so want to see The Age of Adaline as well, I love Blake and have since the Traveling Pants. This looks gorgeous!
Also kind of excited about these shadows, i’ve never grabbed one, I don’t own a lot of mac shadows, though I like the ones I have (I use vex a lot, and a coral matte). Sea Worship and Ready To Party look like they’d be colors I’d use. I tend to mostly use Urban Decay naked palettes and Bobbi Brown shadows, though I do like pops of light colors. My eyes are incredibly dark and I’m too prone to dark circles for me to use many darker shades.
Oh yay, swatches already, this is awesome! I wasn’t expecting this so fast,so wooot! All the colors look great. I definitely want to get my hands on some of the shades. Grand Galaxy and Sweet Heat look really pretty.

So many pretty colors! If they’re going to be permanent I guess there’s no rush to buy them all at once. It’s going to be hard to decide which color or colors to start with. How would you compare these to the NARS dual-intensity shadows?
My children are the coolest people I know!! They are both incredible individuals, who think for themselves and don’t follow the crowd!! I’m really proud to be their Momma!!
Oh no! Right after the big VIB Rouge sale in which I spent way, way, way too much. I’m supposed to be on a No Buy right now. But reading back over this I see that these are going to be permanent so thankfully no rush to grab any. Although I should still stalk the Mac counters and stores and play with them right??? I’m only allowing myself to buy two things from the Nars Summer collection so these will just have to wait. So pretty though.
