MAC is back in the #collab #influencer game, and this time they’ve partnered with 10 YouTube and Instagram influencers on a new line of 10 limited edition online exclusive international lipsticks launching in different countries over the next few months for $17 each. If you want to track them all down, you might have to make friends in the UK, Canada, Brazil, the Middle East, France, Germany and Australia.
Here in North America, the two Lipsticks launching are Matte LarLarLee and Satin Gabriel Zamora, collabs made with YouTubers Laura Lee and Gabriel Zamora.
They arrive online April 20th.
Laura and Gabriel both have full-on glam makeup styles, but I really like that they created lipsticks that can work well with dressed down (more my style lately) or super glam looks.

Matte Lipstick in #MACxLarLarLee
Warm palish nude beige #MACxLarLarLee Matte Lipstick is the matte-est of the mattes on my lips. It reflects absolutely NO light, which gives it a very high fashion/editorial Vogue-ish look, I think.
I like how smooth and pigmented it is, but I have to make sure that my lips are in tip-top shape to wear it, because it catches on my itty-bitty flakes (but prepping with lip balm beforehand helps).
Satin Lipstick in #MACxGabrielZamora
Ah, #MACxGabrielZamoraSatin Lipstick takes me back… Like #MACxLarLarLee, it does not mess around. It’s so intense! It’s a warm brick brown (sooo 1995!), and even though it’s technically a Satin finish, I think it looks more matte.
Kinda reminds me of MAC Paramount, a.k.a. my first lipstick love from way back in the day.
I got to do a MAC collab some years ago, and it was one of the funnest, most fascinating things I’ve ever done related to blogging. If you’re looking at a career in makeup/beauty, wouldn’t it cool to be a makeup chemist? You could concoct makeup colors as part of your job at the Estée Lauder labs. And you’d actually get paid for it!!!!

GabrielZamora looks absolutely gorgeous on you! How would you say it compares to Mac Persistence?

You’ve got a GREAT eye because the two are very similar. Persistence is a touch darker and redder and the finish is flatter. I have a pic of me wearing it here if you’d like to see it for comparison.

There’s one there that’s not like anything I already have. (Or was it Canada? Bother. Not really worth researching since I can’t get it anyway.)
Wow, these are both lovely! I need more warm nudes like a hole in the head, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to resist… At the very least I know I’d get a ton of wear from the Laura Lee one!

No problem! I’m glad you saw some nice one. The quality of their swimwear is pretty good too, I haven’t noticed any wear after washing it in my school’s laundry machines, which will destroy pretty much anything on the first cycle!

I’ll be honest… I think it was a very bad decision of theirs to make these available only in the respective countries each blogger/youtuber comes from… But it’s MAC we’re talking about, so nothing shocks me.
Do you know if these will be sold online anywhere else besides maccosmetics.com? Nordstrom, etc.? I always find ordering directly from MAC a bit stressful.

I like the look of the Gabriel Zamora one, absolutely my color. The one released here in Germany… I have to see, the color description is not my favorite.
Let’s see about the shades released in the UK, what an interesting idea to release different shades in different markets. I’m assuming they’ll drive collectors mad :). Gabriel Zamora looks lovely on you. x

I don’t know why but neither of these really wow me. I think its because they aren’t really unique colors and I feel like I probably have something similar in my collection.
