Today’s minty fresh face o’ the day was inspired by the mint mani I did last weekend with Essie Fashion Playground and In The Cab-ana (used as an “accent nail”).
The mint liner comes courtesy of NARS Barrow Street Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner, the black is NARS Black Valley Eye Paint, and my lower water lines are sporting MAC Fascinating Eye Kohl.
Because the liner look here’s pretty dramatic, I decided to leave my lids neutral, with just MAC Texture and Ground Brown in the crease and Mylar on my lids.
I skipped the false lashes this time, even though I thought they’d take it to the next level, but I didn’t really want to deal with ’em. And I’m kind of running behind, and you know how it is. When you have lots of time, things usually go smoothly, but when you rush, everything seems to take forever and a day.
So I just grabbed my current mascara love, Guerlain Cils D’Enfer Waterproof.
That’s NARS Madly Blush on my cheeks with a kiss of NARS Orgasm Blush layered on top. Lips are NARS Orgasm Lip Gloss.
So Tabs and I were both feeling minty today — him with his catnip/mint, and me with my green. 🙂

So pretty! Mint green is one of my faves. One of my kitties loves catnip too….he likes to roll in it and then run full speed into the other room. He is strange.
Aww, cute! Do you give your kitty dry catnip or fresh? I have a couple of fresh catnip plans for Tabs to snack on, and a tin of the dried stuff. He goes CRAZY for the dried stuff!

I love the mint on you! It would just make me look redder! I just saw this Stila Smudge Stick in Canary, a beautiful yellow, on Temptalia and I’m wondering if I could pull that off.
I am basically just jealous of any eye makeup right now because of allergies.
Mine are crazy right now too. No watering eyes, just lots of sneezing. 🙁 Do you take any medicine? I’ve been taking an herbal supplement called quercetin and it has been helping me a lot. If it’s really bad then I do a half a Zyrtec.
I have mostly watery eyes, and the left lid is swollen and painful, has been for a few days. I just started taking local honey, and it seems to be helping. I’ve been having to use allergy eye drops too. Zyrtec helps a bit too. I also get a runny nose, and general itchiness, but the eyes are the worst part for me.
If it stays swollen much longer, I’ll go to the eye doctor, but it seems to be getting better – not nearly as bad as it was a few days ago.
I’m sorry to hear about your eyes. 🙁 I’ve had that happen to me with bad allergy attacks and it is frightening. Go see the doc already! (That’s the end of your official allergy lecture from me today, LOL.).
How does local honey help? Does it have to do with the pollen and bees?

The honey is supposed to be a similar principle to vaccination – since it’s got the pollen that would be causing the issues, ingesting it is supposed to protect? It seems to be helping, and it’s not like honey tastes bad!

Ooh pretty! I picked up a mint liner from Clio while I was in Korea and so far my favorite look with it is doubled on top of a small winged black liner.
