Tabs isn’t working anymore, but that hasn’t stopped him from giving me side eye for not doing my hair or putting on makeup.
It was also sunny and warm here, and Tabs felt like doing some relaxing catnip gardening on the back deck.

Tabs is really a cat of all trades.
I’ve always loved MAC, but I’ve never bought anything because I thought it’s a bit expensive for me. However, seeing this collection makes me want to buy a pair of lipsticks, the price is not bad at all!
Tabs has really improving your outdoor space for the last few years. I’m sure he’ll have some more excellent suggestions for this season! 🙂 Hugs to both of you!
Between all the frosty pinks and the browns, I feel like this is a battle of the 80s vs the 90s. HAHA!
I love MAC. I don’t think I went into or heard of Ulta or Sephora until I was in my early 20s (31 now). I only had worn MAC and occasionally other brands sold at counters in Nordstrom’s since I was 12, and even after discovering Ulta and Sephora I didn’t really shop there much until I began working as a MUA and wanted to expand my kit a bit beyond MAC, Ben Nye, RCMA, Viseart, etc.. Probably because that’s where I first fell in love with makeup, at 12 and going into Jr high, my mom bought me all the essentials and more and I was taught by a MAC Pro how to apply everything, then, my mom paid the really nice woman to basically do a masterclass for me on her day off at our house, after learning she lived nearby, and the goal was to REALLY teach me everything I needed (and didn’t NEED to know), she even came with about 50 pages of notes for me to keep, face charts with different looks using products I had purchased, all very detailed and giving an in depth pictorial to achieve that look, even though I had about $1200 in products from my first Mac visit, she came with other essentials as gifts, a goodie bag basically, brush cleaner, q tips, cotton rounds, cotton pads, makeup remover, makeup wipes, nice tweezers, a small magnified mirror with my initial on it, velour puffs, 3 of her favorite Mac brushes I hadn’t bought, a few small pigments, Fix +, Painterly paint pot (I never stopped using that as an eye primer to this day), Liner in Teddy, and other things I don’t remember almost 20yrs later.. I think my mom must’ve overpaid and she felt guilty lol. When she left I felt so awesome and loved MAC so much.
I still feel that MAC stores excel in customer service and knowledge of product and application of makeup. At Ulta and Sephora they can be rude, ignore you to continue gossiping, not know about a product, and tbh be horrible at applying makeup and at shade matching.
ANYWAYS, MAC lipsticks are probably my favorite under the $30 range (which I only will purchase if it’s a shade I love and can’t get anywhere else, super unique shades)
I have around 20 nudes, because I only really wear nudes, and about 15 glosses/dazzleglass to use as toppers when called for.
But I don’t have s’sexy, feeling myself, or bad n bare. Don’t know why, but time to get them!!

Dear Karen, despite following you for 8 or 9 years I’ve only commented once or twice. In case you don’t know by now ( but I think you do?) all of us out here thank you from the bottom of our hearts for entertaining us, informing us and letting us into your life through its ups and downs. We’ve been excited for you, thrilled for you and now as you’re going through this sad sad time we will grieve with you. Having lost a couple of beloved pets myself and now looking at my two aging dogs and how much I love them, it’s hard Dangflabbit! I’m so full of admiration for you that despite feeling how you’re feeling , here you are doing what you do best so Thank you Karen.

Tabs is still as handsome as ever. I love when you swatch lip colors. I get a better sense of what they are actually like. MAC could do better on their website. I want to go try Del Rio, Soar and Brick-o-la.
