My real-life superhero..My Mom (auntie).
My Mom stepped in to raise me and my sisters when my natural mom died. I was a newborn. She’s my hero because no matter what, she made our lives the best. She sacrificed her life to raise us. Yes..she is indeed a superhero in my eyes! She was a single young woman who was living the fab life in NYC…she left all of that to be our “Mom”.

I’m super excited about the Wonder Woman collection. I’ve been a huge WW fan for a while. A couple years ago a friend made me a custom WW costume out of glitter PVC (he did it as a sample for his custom clothing business).

I don’t really have a favourite superhero (Comic-wise), but I do have one I dislike! For some reason I dislike Superman- he’s just too… super for me. And I prefer superheroes that come out with props that are of their own ingenuity like Batman and Iron Man 😛

Ok when I was younger, my older brother used to play baseball and so I was dragged to everyone of his games and would have to sit on the bleachers and watch or find ways to entertain myself. (BOOOOOooooooring!)
I was such a gay little kid, I totally used to punch the bottom out of the those little waxed soda cups they give you at the concessions stands and put them on my wrists and I used to deflects fake bullets.

Last time I felt unstoppable was last year when I faced a fear of running into someone that I felt could really embarrass me because I felt like they had something over me that I didn’t want most people to know about. I randomly ran into them and you know what? I wasn’t afraid at all and now I don’t really even care. It was so freeing. We all have embarrassing moments and things we wish we could take back but no one should have that much power that seeing them would make us want to run in another direction. It was and still is a great feeling.
Wonder Woman is awesome, but the epitome of hero/goddess/makeup beauty is JEM!!! She is the trendsetter of all things beauty, and i’m praying and hoping MAC will have a line for her!!!

I’ve never been too into super heroes, but I think it’s wonderful that girls have some of them to look up to. Wonder Woman and Cat Woman were both strong and independent women, and they were also sexy and feminine at the same time.
Wonder Woman has always been my fave, she had the best accessories.

I grew up in the 1970’s and I loved the Wonder Woman TV series. I remember playing Wonder Woman in the playground. To this day I can’t resist buying nail polish with Kevlar fiber in it, because even if it’s not on my wrists, it reminds me of Wonder Woman lifting her hands to deflect bullets.

Well, moving on I love the lipsticks and lipglasses in this colection, and I would be very happy if I won because there are some things that are far away from my comfort zone, but I would love to experiment and see what will happen 🙂 Finally I wanted to tell you about my real life superhero, for me it’s my aunt Marisol (I hope she doesn’t read this, hehe) I think she’s an amazing person and she has taught me that you can change your life if you want to, you don’t have to stay stuck in the life you once created, you can change it for good, and I love how she’s looking right now and I feel very proud of her accomplishments and I hope to follow her footsteps 🙂

I have the coolest ring- big and chunky silver and it’s a doublet style. the main stone on bottom is lapis and the top stone is crystal quartz and its cut in a checker board pattern so when you look down on it- the lapis looks like the earth or Van Gogh’s starry night! My job has me typing all the time so I do a lot of looking at my hands when I wear this ring. It kind of looks like something a King would wear…

My hero as a child was always my Nan – in English once we had to do a speech on your hero and I was the only person in my whole class to pick a person that wasn’t a celebrity
She was the most gracious, glamorous woman and she never complained once. She died in September last year and every notice cried on the ward because she was the most polite and caring lady up to the day she died.
If I’m half the person she was when I grow older, I’ll be happy 😀

I’m a Super Woman!
When I was 7 I had Wonder Woman underoos, I would wear them under my clothes (like a superhero!) and I thought I could conquer the world, especially the school playground. I wish they had adult sized underoos – they rock! The powder blush duo in Mighty Aphrodite looks absolutely gorgeous!

She is truly wonder woman and if I win, I am going to split the prize with her for being my inspiration. She goes hard every single day! She’s a single mom who gets little to no help from her children’s father. She is working a full time job, in school, in pursuit of opening her own business, and raising her children. She has time to do community work and should be considered an activist! lol She is just truly a giving, loving, spiritual, and strong person.

Holy Mama, the giveaway ‘s open to international beauty-holics too! For a sec I thought livin in Europe is ultra-lame… My personal hero would be my mom, cause she raised 5 kids practically on her own, while my father (being an airforce officer) was always somewhere (as you guys call it) overseas. You inspired me to share a story.
I was recently diagnosed with depression (I’m not going to labour over the details) needless to say I felt very weak. But it was turning to my boyfriend and friends that encouraged me to get help and suddenly I felt strong.
I’m not one to dwell on myself. I tend to take on other peoples problems. I want to save the world one person at a time. But when I opened up and shared my feelings with other people, I realised that I felt better.
I think we feel our most invincible when we remember that we’re not alone!
Not only that but after I opened up a bit I became inspired to get back into my art and FINALLY managed to do myself up a bit and feel like a lady!
Keep truckin’ ladies. When the world gets us down, there is nothing like a bit of sparkle!

Happy Thursday! My favorite piece of jewelry is the Tiffany’s toggle necklace that my bf got me for our 4 year anniversary; I love jewelry, but it’s one thing I never treat myself to. He handed the little blue bag over to me and untying the white ribbon from the box is something I’ll never forget. I cried and he told me that he’d always loved how the necklaces looked, but he hadn’t found someone worth getting it for until he met me. I’m tearing up now! Ah, I’m such a baby.

I would say the last time I felt unstoppable was when I made the decision to happily live as a single girl. Although I broke up with my last boyfriend a year and a half ago, I still more or less was always mentally and emotionally preoccupied with one guy or another, although things were never official. Then I realized that although I always carried the label of “single”, I never gave myself a chance to TRULY enjoy it, with no attachments, emotional or otherwise, to anyone. It was intoxicatingly liberating…the world was entirely mine.
I WISH I had Wonder Woman powers because I slipped and fell twice today and my car got stuck in a now bank on the way to work and it has just been a rather snowtastically sucky day… I don’t think superheroes deal with such thing. I would just fly everywhere.

My WW bracelet
My favorite bracelet is the one that my boyfriend made for me for Christmas.
We both went to art school, and he is a bit of a renaissance man. He made the gold chain and added tiny emeralds to match my eyes. It’s my favorite piece of jewelry and when I wear it I really do feel like Wonder Woman.

Wow, Karen! what a generous prize here! I guess my super hero would definitely have to be my parents. They came out to LA without much money and struggled at first, but they eventually managed to keep a roof over them and 4 kids(oh, and a fat dog)! 🙂 I’m not much of a bracelet person… I love JUICY charms ones, but haven’t found the ones I love love yet. I can’t wait till this collection comes out! I’ve been saving my macy’s card and my monthly splurge for this kind of special ocassion, hehe. :p

Oh my goodness, what a fun collection this is going to be! The last time I felt unstoppable was last night in hot yoga. Well, ok the chatarungas tired me out but it was nice to see my muscles in action, and all that sweat. I’m trying to detox my ex-boyfriend out of my system, one hot yoga session and hopefully one new Mac & WW lipgloss at a time!

The last time I felt unstopable was a couple weeks ago I put on MAC lip pencil in Vino and added MAC Pro Longwear Lipcream in Extended Play on top – I felt super sexy, I usually don’t wear dark lips but this was HOT. I have to wear a walk cast right now because on my first day of dance class (Tuesday) I partially tore my achilles tendon. I did this on the first exercise! Ugh! I find out next week if i need to have surgery. Sure could use some cheering up! I think WW is up to the job.
My daughter was born during the 2002 Olympics. Just the other day I pulled out the commemorative charm bracelet I bought to gift her when she is older. It’s adorable and significant not only because it is a piece of Olympic history, but because it represents a hot fashion trend at the time she was born. Of course now she wants me to give her the bracelet, but at 8 years old, she is still too young to take care of it.
My favorite bracelet is a gold, white, and rose gold bracelet my uncle gave to me on my 15th birthday. It’s difficult to describe, but I completely love it!

I used to have this really dainty bracelet when I was a teen. It was tiny silver hearts linked together. I loved that thing so much. I was cheap (I think I had gotten it at TJMaxx or some store like that) and it eventually broke. I really hope I can find one like it some day.
This collection is so much fun, the last time I felt unstoppable was when I turned 21 a few months ago, life is harder now than it was then, but makeup always seems to keep me happy!

My real-life superhero is my grandpa. He’ll turn 80 next week and he just got out of the hospital after getting a triple bypass and valve replacement. He says he can’t wait to return to his garden. 🙂

LOL Anyways, my most favorite piece of jewelry is this one I got as a gift from this 14 year old girl in Tijuana, Mexico my family helps support. They are visited about every other month and the girl, Angelina, helps make jewelry (out of wood beads!) for her to sell when her mom goes to the local mart to sell clothes. Even though we can’t communicate super great we always have a good time and one time she presented me this necklace and earring set made of different color wood beads on a piece of twine. And it is SO pretty! It really made me happy to know she appreciates what we do for her family enough to take time to make something especially for me! Now THAT”S a future Wonder Woman!

I underwent surgery last Friday, at first I felt terrible, but my mom is my real superheroe, she has taken care of me and now I am feeling so much better. She is my wonder woman and I would love to give the makeup to her. Moms deserve good makeup!

I want this collection so badly. It reminds me of my childhood. I used to have a pair of wonder woman underoos and I would solve crime and defeat bad guys with my tin foil bracelet cuffs and jump rope lasso of truth.
One of my favorite bracelets is a gold (looking) cuff I got when my mom and I went to Amsterdam a couple of years ago. I always have a problems finding bracelets because I have tiny wrists and small hands — everything just falls off.
As much as I love it, I have two problems with the cuff. It has lots of little beads on it, which ends up meaning lots of little pieces of wire that attach the bead but also get caught on my clothing. And it’s looking a little tarnished, but I have no idea what it’s made out of . It’s not just painted metal. Maybe it’s brass or something. But I still love it.

My personal superheros would be my mom and my grandma.
My grandma because she had a really hard life but persevered through so much and was the sweetest, most generous woman that I’ve had the fortune of having in my life. She passed away 5 years ago.
My mom because she was a kick ass woman who always put others need before her own, believed in me, and loved me fiercely.
She was diagnosed with lung cancer last February and died in April. She was my best friend and I miss her every single day…
MY real life superhero’s would be my mother and sister. They are like my best friends and are such strong women. I look up to them and love them both so much!

A wonder woman life began the day that my daughter was born. It was snowing and it was incredibly difficult to arrive at the hospital in one piece. Somehow I made it, gave birth to my daughter in the early hours and started the life as a single mother like several others everywhere else in this world. It hasn’t been easy but I am putting myself thru college for a second time to become a nurse and help others! I want to make the most of my life and be the wonder woman my daughter will always look up to.
My real life hero, or should i say heroes… my parents. I truly appreciate everything they have done for me and my siblings. Everyday, I realize how hard they have worked to build the life we are living. We always had it tough, but until this year, I never knew how tough things really were. Their strength, love, and appreciation for one another, truly shows that no matter how tough things are, everything will always work out. <3 I don't know how to put into words, how much they mean to me. It makes me tear up just writing about them. hehe.
My daughter and I were recently discussing our obsession with makeup. In fact, whenever we see another gal putting lip balm, lipstick, or lip gloss on we suddenly feel the need to pull our own out and start applying away. I have even pulled my lip liner and lipstick out in a dark movie theater to reapply after eating popcorn. My daughter looks over at me with her brows furrowed…but really, she should understand 🙂 She’s the one who goes absolutely nowhere without a lip balm in her pocket!
When I was a kid I dressed up as Wonder Woman four years in a row – my mom finally had to put her foot down. I also named my first cat Linda, after Linda Carter the woman who played Wonder Woman. I am so all over this release!

1) my dad. He was there me when i went through a bunch of unhappy moments in my life since i was younger. He love me unconditionally.
2) my husband, Carey. He put up with me for 8 years. Help me going through big adjustment moving here from home.. And help me moving on when my super hero no. 1 went away in death. My husband went through some stuffs of his own yet, he always help me first!
I am so excited about the MAC Wonder Woman range, I have wonder woman t shirts because when I was young my mum used to say I’m not Wonder Woman! When myself and my siblings were pushing her to the limit. I now have three kids of my own and find it amusing when I’m pushed to my limits I think of what Mum used to say 🙂

The last time I felt like WW was last year: I was in my final med year when a patient in the hospital hall recognized me from the ward I was rotating on, saw me and called me “Doctor!”. BAAAMMMM!!! I stepped dead in my tracks and froze, goosebumps on my skin. It really HIT me then that I was gonna finish my med school and BE(COME) one! So empowering and humbling at the SAME time!!

I remember being inspired by a Swedish guitar player, Yngwie Malmsteen, who was at the height of his career, got into a car accident and lost the use of his hands and through sheer determination, went through physical therapy and regained the use of his hands and went back to being one of the best guitar player of all times. It got me thinking that if he can go through all that, there’s nothing else in my life that I should be daunted by.

I love wonder soo much I drink out of her lol the mug that is, I’m such a nerd at heart I collect comics and my favorite comics come. From marvel hands down. My super hero is a real genuine person and that person Is my mom, she is my wonder women. I have to applaud mothers out there, they give and give never really ask for anything in return. It Least that is what I know from my mother, she has truly stood by me through thick and thin. No matter how stupid and crazy my choices can be she puts up with me. I am a whole lot of crazy energy so thank god that my mom has energy to deal and support me. One day when I grow my own family I want to be a super hero to my kids like my mom have shown me through my years.

My favorite bracelet is a simple silver charm bracelet that I inherited from my maternal grandmother. Sadly, it has no charms on it. It didn’t have any when I got it & it is really hard to find nice SS charms that I like. My sister and I have this tradition that whenever we go away (mostly seperately) we always buy a set of matching braclets, and we’d wear then until the next braclet from the next trip. I just came back from Mexico and got us a pair of handmade sea shell bracelets in green and purple.

As a kid I used to like on a street lined with apartment complexes and I must say it the best childhood ever! Mom would let us be out until the street lights came on then we knew we had to go home. We would play all kind of games, ride bikes and we would even be allowed to play in the rain. We would always fight over which superhero we wanted to be. I wish my daughter could have the same carefree childhood but times are very different now 🙁

When I felt like Wonder Woman…My family & I have been through a lot the past 4 yrs & it took a lot of strength to endure. We lost our very nice home, cars, were homeless & sometimes we didn’t know what we were going to eat. All of this due to unemployment. My faith in God alloowed me to be strong for my husband & 3 kids that were happy because we were all together. I couldn’t give up & had to believe htings would get better. Now things are doing a lot better & I have started my own business. I am able to share my testimony & give to others that don’t have much hope in their situations. Don’t give up on yourself or dreams!

My hero and my favorite bracelet both involve the same individual — my mother! She is my hero because she says what’s on her mind and is large and in charge. She was sent away by her family at 13 to come to this country and had to learn the language and everything from the ground up. She recently gave me the charm bracelet from her 20’s, with a charm for every special occasion of her life. It’s my personal superhero bracelet. Aww. Corny, but true.

I’m studying to become a personal trainer & WOW getting my eating & exercise habits have definitely presented a huge challenge, but it is so worth it. I literally feel unstoppable now that I can run 5 miles, when I started at the beginning of this month I could barely jog 1 mile! I even have my roommate working out with me! and I just learned to drive a stick shift, it’s also very empowering to see the look on most men’s faces when I tell them I can drive stick shift (and well!) 😀
Also, I had the most amazing green curry with brown rice for lunch. I’m a sucker for some good Thai food.

I’m going to mention a few heroes here, All the people in my town (and state) that have been affected by the recent floods (in Queensland – Australia) Watching everyone rally together has really restored my faith in the human race!
Also my mother who is my Wonder Woman!
I wake up at 6:00AM, take a shower, do my hair and makeup, and place everything I need in three bags:
Bag#1: Regular bag + my favorite in the world: my makeup bag: foundation, concealer, mascara, eyeshadow, blush, brushes. 8:00am I get to the office, work work work. 6:00 pm I end my shift and take bag #2.
Bag#2: There is my laptop, marketing books, booklets, all kind of pencils, markers, because after work I go to college. Run! cause first class starts at 7:00pm and I have to drive as fast as I can to get there on time. After 3 hours of class I’m free to go, but wait a second, there comes the 3rd bag
Bag #3 My shoes, sweat pants, headbands, a towel and a bottle of water, it’s time to do excercise, I run 4km and do some workout routines.
Bonus bag: Full of clothes, toiletty, books and of course makeup: is Friday night, and it’s time to take an hour and a half flight to visit my handsome boyfriend (we live in different cities) Enjoy the weekend, night out, movies, eating out. My weekends with Felipe rocks!! Sadly, I have to leave on sunday night and go back to my city, sometimes he visits me, some other weekends he come.
I’m so motivated, I feel unstoppable everyday.

I have a cat too, but I’m a bit sad because she has a big wound because of an abcess on her thigh (and she also doesn’t have a tail anymore, because she got run over by a car a year ago… I’m really feeling sorry for her, but she still jumps and climbs so I don’t know if she really misses her tail). my favorite superhero is darna. darna looks very similar to wonderwoman but the the main difference is that darna was given superpowers because of her pure heart. also, darna has to swallow a stone and shout darna so she can transform. 🙂

A group of girls in our neighborhood calls ourselves “The [name of neighborhood] Wonder Women.”
When our friend was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, we exchanged WW-themed trinkets, emails, texts, etc. I got our friend a WW t-shirt, which she wore for her first chemo treatment. Her mom and the rest of the crew wore WW bracelets throughout her treatment. Now that she’s better, we’re STOKED for the WW collection from MAC, and would LOVE to share this amazing prize!

I actually have a bracelet that I love so much because it reminds me of Wonder Woman. It is all done in brushed silver with a shiny star in the middle. When I saw it, I knew I had to have it (just because I feel like of Wonder Woman when I wear it lol).

Wow! Being a huge comic book junkie, I was so excited for this collection! The packaging is so nostalgic, it reminds me of when I was younger – children’s toys were so large and bulky, and had such bright colours everywhere! I’m pumped for it’s release 🙂

A few months ago, I took my dog for a walk. We walked for a while, when all of a sudden she stopped and fell over. She began having a seizure. She could not walk after her seizure (her muscles are too weak) and I had to get her home. So, I had to carry her home. She weighs 65 lbs. I didn’t think I could carry her that far, but I made it. That was my Wonder Woman moment.

My son Matthew is my hero. He is 14 years old and he has Cystic Fibrosis, a chronic lung disease he was born with, it is genetic. Never in is 14 years of life has he ever complained about being sick or complained about having needles poked in him over and over again… I have to say he is a mommas boy and he truly makes my life so full. Well, it was an amazing dog!!! So amazing that it was kidnapped. No Joke! Worst day of my life!
I found out these mean guys kidnapped it because, it’s like a “designer dog”
SO I hired a detective to find it, cause I knew it was probably someone who was living near me. (I live by some bad naighboorhoods, with like, bad people in them)
Anyway, this detective was like a superhero! She found Xena and we called the cops!!!! OMG Best moment of my life was getting Xena back. It made me think of make up, because I love make up as much as I love Xena!!!!!! XOXOX 😀

My favorite shiny baubles: my engagement/wedding rings (because they're shiny, obv!) and my jade necklace that I wear every single day and still get tons of compliments (even though it's like 8 years old), and is always the same!
Recently my boyfriend of a year bought me a besutiful diamond bracelet, my first diamonds ever. Shortly after my house was broken into, and it was stolen. We were finally able to have it replaced about 2 months later, and I am now the proud owner of a beautiful, diamond tennis bracelet! I feel like a princess. I love the make up, too!

The las time that i felt unstoppable, was 4 years ago when i had my surgery, i defied the odds and made it through. It took a lot of work, and I’m almost back to my old self again. with that I feel like i can do anything, but that was a pivitoal point for me! 🙂 and my favorite bauble is my harajuku lovers powerbead bracelet. My husband and I are giving our cat a lion cut this summer… she’s just too furry!
There has been a serious animal abusive case happened recently and this case was circulating around Facebook and even newspapers for quite some time. This guy actually slapped and threw his little toy poodle around just to “teach” him to sit straight. There is a video on this and it is really heart wreaking when you watch this i’m tellin ya……Almost all of the people who knew about this case filed a report on this guy and wanted him to face the legal justice.
I can see here that all of us are super heroes to our furry friends and we actually have the power to protect and stand out for them! They are LIFE too!

The wonder woman theme makes me think of my mother because without her, I wouldn’t have ever had the opportunity to learn so much about what makeup can do to a person. She has been a licensed cosmetologist for more than 20 years supporting her four kids by herself .
that drive and ambition she has had for so long in this industry truly inspires me day to day to keep working hard in order to rise up from where i am to where i could be and its that “superpower” that has truly saved me for life.

One of my favorite bracelets is one that my mom gave to me. Its black and white with this gold metal rope wrapped around the bangle. It always reminds me of her. 🙂

She wakes up every morning and gives herself a minute to think about the superpowers she will need to conjure up today… She doesnt have a lasso, golden cuffs or fabulous red knee high boots. Her uniform is more demure, actually, totally uninteresting scrubs for her first job and company mandated black slacks w/ black or white top for her second job. Instead of a tiara, its more like a messy bun while she’s making breakfast for her kids, making sure they did their homework and trying to show them by example to be superheros too. She may not win everybattle she fights, but none the less, the she will fight to win. We are all her somedays … when she looks in the mirror and sees plain jane Diana, we all want her to sweep on some fantasic foundation, paints on some lushious lips, designs power in her eyes and become WONDERWOMAN….

My real life Wonder Woman is most definitely my mom! She has shaped me into the person I am today and continues to help me make decisions for the future. I know so many people who have mothers who are not interested or aren’t available to have quality time with their daughters and it makes me sad because I really believe that a mother-daughter relationship is something truly special. For my first entry, you said we can comment on anything so here it goes. When I first got a glimpse of this collection, my initial reaction was that it was extremely loud and gawdy, too childlike for an adult to get away with both wearing and carrying around in their bags for a touch up. But then I started thinking about all the things wonder woman stood for such as truth, justice, fighting evil (I think she may be related to superman) I can see the parallel between all the bad things (corruption) occurring in our government and country today and the need for more super heroes like wonder woman, who symbolize the strength of women individually and in groups, their influence on society if they join forces, and a general sense of empowerment for woman to take action and influence positive change locally, nationally and internationally. I think there are many very strong women who are presently fighting for what is just and good in this country, every day women, names that will always remain unknown to the masses, who make life altering sacrifices to their own personal detriment for the purpose of implementing positive change for the population as a whole, both in our country and the world at large, I think all these women whose names will forever remain unknown to the masses but who do so much good, symbolize all that Wonder Woman has always stood for, which is fighting evil, most of the time on her own for she possesses the type of courage and fearlessness that most people don’t and never will possess because it’s always EASIER to go along with the crowd than think independently. Maybe, as we all run out to purchase this collection, some of you will give some thought to what I have just written and say a prayer for all these very special wonder women, who give up so much of their lives to make the lives of the masses, people just like you and me, so much better!!!!!

I’ve loved Wonder Woman forever – I was Wonder Woman nearly every Halloween as a child. One year, when my younger brother was around 4 or 5 years old, I had a costume that came with one of those plastic masks and he was absolutely TERRIFIED of that thing! Lol So much so that my mom had to hide it. Needless to say, on a day on which he was being particularly bothersome, I found the mask and ran up to him with it on. He was so scared he didn’t know what to do with himself, screamed so loud and so piercingly mom came running at break neck speed – and promptly ripped the mask into four plastic pieces and gave me a good swat on the bottom for my troubles.
But my brother stayed hidden in her skirts for the rest of the day so I guess having an entire day of peace and unharmed Barbies was worth it.

It’s snowing in Virginia this morning, again!

WOW!! Reading your requirements for the contest – ” to describe a time you felt unstoppable” , had an instant impact on me when I read it, and I couldnt put my finger on why. A couple of hours i later, I started to think about your topic, and it made me realize how far Ive come, hence, furthermore defining the term “unstoppable” . Born into unfortunate circumstance, and for someone – who as a long time didnt really have any self confidence, and someone who saw myself as a product as where I was from, coming to terms with the fact that “I am the person who I dare to create”, by working hard and applying myself to further my education and believe in myself
( because unfortunately, no one else ever did), instead of sitting back and letting some unfortunate circumstances come to define me – have created the successful person I am today. However, sometimes its so difficult for us to take a step back and realize how far we’ve come from a difficult situation until we see something on a beauty and wellness blog which asks us to think about an instance which has made us feel “unstoppable”. I hope everyone who reads this stops for a second and thinks about this post. Im sure we can all relate to an instance in our life that we never thought we would make it out of, or one which may have impacted us forever. Look back on it, and compare then to where you are today, and hopefully how such circumstances have shaped the way you think and act today.

My real life super heros are my parents who take care of my brother with autism. My mom always wore red lipstick when I was a little girl and I love it now!
when I was a kid i loved how wonder woman was the girl amongst all those male superheroes. thankfully my mom bought me the costume (which I would never take off, so she says) and I was happy to be able to play with my cousins cause they were 5 boys and I was the only girl. Hah! At least i had an awesome character and my cousins wouldn’t leave me out cause i had my lasso with me 🙂 wonder woman was able to say “I’m a woman, I kick ass, I am awesome and I can do what all men can do! ” I’ve always wanted to be like her. Beautiful, smart and strong. The way every woman is and should be! 🙂 Now that I’m older, I realize that my mom’s my real wonder woman 🙂 teaching me the basics of how to act and be a prim and proper lady, to be strong and smart, up to the girly side of womanhood by introducing me to the awesome make up we’ve both ever used, MAC! and this wonder woman collection is the best thing ever! the colors are just so beautiful and vibrant! we both love it!

My real life superhero is my mother. I am a freshman in college now but when I was about 13 my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Then when I was a freshman in high school, she got surgery to remove the cancer, and then another surgery two years ago. She is my superhero because she has overcome so many obstacles in her life, her biggest was probably overcoming breast cancer (or raising me and my sisters alone). I love this collection! My favorite bracelet is the charm bracelet I bought and started November 2009. It’s my first step in creating a family heirloom I can pass down to a future daughter should I have one. All the charms are ones that mean something special to me – I have a teddy bear with my birth stone, a cross that belonged to my great-aunt, a piano my parents bought for me because I love Alicia Keys, a breast cancer ribbon, a Daddy’s Girl charm, Tigger, a Claddaugh and ballet shoe. I’m hoping that I can keep adding to it and when the time comes, I can pass it down to my daughter and keep it in the family since heirlooms are not something my family traditionally has.

My fiancé is a comic book artist and always loved the Superman’s stories, To stand up to him, I immediately identified myself with Wonder Woman, the goddess of the goddesses. By Being a Wonder Woman, I need to makeup myself like her, to feel powerful and fearless in my daily adventures! I need to win more than $ 450 in WW MAC makeup!
My real life super hero was my brother. He recently passed away and was an amazing teacher, friend and brother. I use to go with him to the comic shop everyday during summer break with my big brother (WW was my fave and Superman was his!) He was such a super hero to me and my other brother we made sure he was put in a Superman urn and had the theme from the movie play at his funeral. He will always be my real life superhero!
I don’t think I have a favorite female superhero. Don’t we women use our imaginations more than men? Why aren’t there more female superheroes?

OMG !!! I’m loving this new wonder woman collection from MAC!! If I had to think about a moment in my life where I felt “unstoppable”, it would definitely be when I lost my grandfather to the earthquake in Haiti two weeks after delivery my first born son. Through sadness and pain I stayed strong for my family, went back to school to pursue my master’s degree which I know my grandpa would be happy about. I knew life had to go on and that I couldn’t stop being who I always aimed to be. I know the real wonder women are those out in Haiti struggling to feed their family and sleeping under a tent whether sun or rain. Let’s not forget about Haiti <3 <3

MAC was the first make-up store I ever went to, to get a “face” made, in 8th grade. I’m now a junior in college and my love affair with MAC is still going strong – LOVE this collection!

To some people I am a real “super hero†and others say my just doing my job. Every morning I walk into work to make a difference in some ones life. It can be as simple as a warm “hello, how are you doing today?†to extra care for a very ill patient. If you can’t already tell I am a nurse. I love the feeling when a patient says “thank you for helping me.†That means to me that I made a difference in that person’s life in some kind of way. Like most “super heroes†I have a “side kick.†Her name is bear and she is my dog 🙂 she is not no ordinary dog she is a service dog. We go to local hospitals and assistant living homes. All the patients LOVE to pet her and she LOVES to be petted. When Bear and I are together we are unstoppable and making people feel good and putting smiles on there faces 🙂
This would be a great gift for my bridesmaids for my wedding in May!

I don’t have a real life superhero, but my favorite childhood cartoon superhero was The PowerPuff Girls. They were SO adorable and so cute…Bubbles was my favorite. One of my favorite memories related to my childhood is the one of my older brother helping me convert one of my headbands into Wonder Woman’s tiera and making me home made wrist cuffs. I was obsessed, and took my Wonder Woman coloring book everywhere. At that time Linda Carter was doing Maybelline lipstick ads and I could not realize she was an actress, I thought, “wow, Wonder Woman likes Maybelline!” I saw this collection and instantly fell in love!
My brother is my real life hero because he is there to pick up as the male role model in my son’s life after my Dad passed away. He is the best! And we can always count on him

Wonder woman is my superhero idol loved her as a kid and have passed on that love to my 7 year old. She has the wonder woman Barbie, dolls, pjs, shirts, costumes, and poster. I made her a wonder woman birthday cake in the same 1970ish something mold that mom made my 5 year old birthday cake in. Ah, the memories!

My real life super hero is my great Aunt Betty. She passed away almost 4 years ago from her 2nd time with breast cancer but she was amazingly spirited throughout the entire process… an amazing women. I want to be just like her!

My personal hero is my mom because she raised me and my brother and my sister all on her own after my dad died prematurely due to stroke. We’re all below 10 years old at that time and mom’s only 30 something. We’re all adults now and mom still gives us her unconditional love and support! She’s my very own wonder woman. <3<3<3
The last time I felt unstoppable was when I helped a doctor deliver a baby. I was a student nurse and nervous but I was able to pull that baby out!! It was glorious.

OH SNAP this is an amazing giveaway! Okay so the last time I felt unstoppable was at an all-you-can-eat sushi buffet after fasting for a little over a day. As I saw the sushi plates pile up, OMG I was so proud of myself. Sushi roll after sushi roll after sushi roll, my stomach and I were unstoppable!
But then I felt so guilty for consuming 50K calories worth of sushi in one sitting afterwards.

Within the Justice League Wonder Woman is equal in will and strength to her counterparts. She is an icon of feminism and the female strength and has always been a personal favouroite when it comes to female comic book heroes. The woman that echoes her traits the most in my life would have to be my best friend. She is thick skinned and will put other’s felings above her own. She resonates true, human strength and has been my rock at the hardest of times.

There are real life super heroes all over the place in today’s society. Any woman taking care of herself, her family, and/or her children is a super hero in my eyes. Looking back now, it’s easy to see my Mom was and is always a real life super hero but unfortunately as a child you don’t always see that. Anyone, man or woman, looking out for someone other than themselves is a super hero to me. Because really isn’t that what being a super hero is all about? Looking after someone other than you?
And as far as bracelets go, I’m trying to expand my collection because I don’t have too many. Oh wait! I do have a fav though! My Mom was in a sorority in college and she was the “pledge mom”. She looked after the girls pledging and helped them through the process. They bought her a bracelet as a token of their appreciation and it actually looks exactly like the Tiffany bracelets with the big links with a heart hanging from it (except it’s from the 70’s and not a few years ago). It’s engraved with her name and sorority number and her pledge-kids names on the back of it. She gave it to me when I joined a sorority and I wear it all the time. Sometimes people mistake it for a fake-Tiffany bracelet, but I explain the importance and they get it.

I am so unbelievably excited about this collection. I have been a mac fan since I was 13 and bought my first mac lipglass. This collection and the Hello Kitty collection are my favorites! I cannot wait until the release date!

Oh my god, Mighty Aphrodite is gorgeous.
Bauble-wise: I’m a sucker for long dangly earrings, and I go through ridiculous quantities of them. But day after day, I find myself wearing my leather bracelet (it’s actually a bracer from a medieval re-enactment store in Montreal, but it looks decidedly modern and simple) and a silver key pendant my mom found and gave to me.
OH. MAH. GAWD. What an awesome givewaway! I remember playing wonderwoman, wearing my underoos, with my older brother and his friend in the church yard across the street from my childhood home;these are some of my most fond memories! As a girl who grew up among boys, my favourite “hero” was batman…. as a woman who still hang outs with guys, I wish I had had a female superhero I could look up to. I really like MAC initiative on powerful women! And my best friend – a guy who’s crazy for comics – loved this makeup collection! =p

This is such a sweet giveaway! I love the ‘kitch’ factor of the packaging. WW was one of my favorite shows as a child. This collection brings back fond memories of playing ‘Superheros’ with the neighborhood kids many, many years ago.
I remember trying to catch my little brother with my ‘Lasso of Truth’.
I have a feeling he didn’t enjoy that nearly as much as I did. 😉

I’m an aspiring makeup artist. I plan to attend the MUD School in NY after I graduate from high school. i’m sittin here watchin Twilight New Moon, yet the only thing i can focus on is how badly i want a cinnabon. and the mall is closed. this is the story of my life.
Somedays between getting up at 5:30, getting 3 kids ready for school, working full time, coming home and cooking dinner, taking one of the kids to practice at least 2-3 times a week, and then finally falling into bed about 11:30…I feel like a superhero. Thank you whoever invented RedBull. It does give me wings when I need it.
I feel most like Wonder Woman when I am on top of my game at home & work. It can be exhausting striving for this & I don’t always hit the mark but it is personally rewarding/satisfying when I do.

My favourite fictional superhero of all time, is the Wonder Woman (Lynda Carter) herself. I am super glad that i got to know make up or in this case M.A.C at this time around, just in time for their upcoming wonder woman collection 😀
If I had a super power, it would be to control time. I often sit in class and daydream about all the amazingly cool things I would do if I could stop time. For example: draw clown make up on my teachers in the middle of class, get TONS of sleep and eat a bunch of desserts then rewind time so I never gain weight (HAHA!) 🙂 Thanks Karen!

I adopted a kitty last month! She was found along with her siblings abandoned on the mean streets of Philadephia, and rescued by a shelter, which is where I met her. Today she was absolutely crazycakes, but normally she is a very affectionate, very slobbery sweet pea. Adopting her was the best decision I ever made! Just wanted you to know, there is now one more crazy cat lady amongst your readers. 🙂
