Pink eyeshadow?! This was a first for me, and I have to say, I. AM. OBSESSED! I’ve used lots of rose tones on my eyes before, but never anything bright pink. I decided I was going to use a bright pink just as a transition shade, but then I got carried away experimenting, as I always do. Sometimes it’s so fun to just take your time, and do something fun with your makeup that you wouldn’t normally do, and I’m so happy with how it came out.
I got together with Anna and Adia for this look and we decided on pink. I was like, “Wait…I don’t own a pink eye shadow…but I own lots of blushes!” I use bronzer as eye shadow all the time, so why wouldn’t blush work the same way?
I grabbed my favorite, the Elf Blush Palette in Light and used it for the majority of this look, and I’ve gotta tell you, if you don’t have this palette already, get your booty to Target and buy it. It’s only $6 and has 4 incredibly soft, pigmented, blend-able blushes. The colors are just perfect as blushes, and now, as eye shadows too! It even made a special appearance in my Top 10 Under $10 post over on Jen Leigh Beauty!

I do have one important tip when using bright pink eye shadow that might help before you give it a try, because with pink shadow, if it’s used incorrectly, you can end up looking a little diseased and zombie-like.
When the pink is right up next to the whites of your eyes, your eyes will look sore, so the solution to this is to put something between your eyeballs and the pink. In this case, I put a brown eyeliner on my water line and plenty of mascara. Problem solved!

What about you? How would you rock bright pink eyeshadow?

It looks amazing on you I always was afraid pf pink eyeshadow do the zombie or just a corpse the way you did it is just right. Even I will make it more subtle in my case.
I’m so glad you like it! You could totally make this more subtle and it would look amazing too 🙂
Man, oh man, oh man! You knocked it out of the ballpark! Love how this look came out. And I’m getting my booty right over to Target to get that blush palette. I’ve only been eyeing it, since, like, forever, and almost made a splurge on a more expensive blush. Completely forgot about this palette. I’m getting the deeper one as it’ll complement my chocolate complexion. Great post! 🙂 Oh and I second the motion on using blushes/bronzers as eye shadows; especially since I can’t always find brown shadows dark enough to complement me. Feeling a bit inspired by this “pink series”.
Yes go get it! I promise you won’t be disappointed 🙂 My mother in law has the darker palette and it’s just as gorgeous, you’ll love it!
You should wear pink eyeshadow all the time cause it looks fantastic!!!
You’re so sweet thank you! 🙂
I have been waiting for your look because out of the three, we are the closest in skintone and colouring. I do wear pink, using the same trick you do to make it wearable, but never tried a vibrant pink before.
I hadn’t tried it before either but I think it’s actually super flattering, surprisingly enough! I’m going to try and tone it down too to see if I like that as much too, that way I can wear it more haha
I love this look! You look gorgeous!
Thank you so much!!
BAM! Love it! This looks beautiful on you, you’ve completely nailed it. Not a sore eye in sight!
Yay I’m happy you love it! 🙂 Thank you!
I’m not really into pink usually but I have to say it’s a really pretty look!
Same! It was never something I thought twice about, I’m so glad I found something fun to do 🙂
Hey, I have that e.l.f. quad! Maybe I’ll try ‘n recreate the look! You look so pretty. It’s a very eye-catching look. Very different. But without being weird.
Yes do it! I would look so pretty on you, you have such amazing eyes I think it would make them pop! 🙂
Those pink colors suit you so well! And what a good idea to use a blush palette for your eyes. I like wearing hot pink on my eyes but I also always combine it with a dark eyeliner and plenty of mascara and I usually add some brown in the crease!
I’m glad using the blush worked out! What pink eyeshadows do you like to use?
You really rock this look! You look stunning in it. Love it!
You’re so nice, thank you so much! 🙂
Beautiful makeup!

Thanks Kiran!
seriously, this looks AMAZING on you! it’s crazy lol. I would never have thought to do this.
can you elaborate on placement of the shadows (lid, outer corner, etc).
and I love the highlight in the inner corners!
seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever seen an eye color that looks bad on you.
Such a nice compliment, thank you so much! I used the lightest blush in my crease, and used the darker shade to darken up the outer corner and blended that onto the lid. Then I took a reddish/coppery shade from another palette and used that wet in the very outer corner to add some shimmer and a little dimension! Then I just used Becca Champagne Pop in the inner corner. It was super easy! 🙂
Beautiful!
Thank you Erin!
This is beautiful! Need to give it a go ?
You should! Make sure you let me know how it goes if you do 🙂
UGH YES. I LOVE what you do with that inner corner xDDDD Weird compliment…But yes the gold suits this look so amazingly well. You are so talented!
Psh that’s not a weird compliment! I love it! Thank you so much! 🙂
I love this so much! You absolutely nailed it.
Thank you so much Rachel!!
Can u explain exactly how you used the pinks? That would be helpful. I want to try to re create the look, it is stunning.
Of course! Let me know if you recreate it, I’d love to see! 🙂
