Curl lashes, then prime with a thin layer of your favorite black waterproof mascara (mine is MAC In Extra Dimension Waterproof, because helloooooo — length for days).
Next, grab a blue mascara, and paint two layers. Line your water and lash lines with a matching blue pencil (and get between those lash roots, just like the relatives who get all up in your business), and say PEACE OUT ✌️ to basic fringe.

I have blond lashes, so I don’t usually have this problem! If I want it to be brighter, sometimes I use a white mascara base.
Wow, lucky you! I’ve forever struggled to get color to show up. 🙂
Wow, that looks bright! On my blonde lashes it usually isn´t a problem though.
Brightly colored mascaras really need something to cling to. I find mascara primers (UD Subversion, etc.) work best, but a black mascara works pretty well, too.
I have blonde lashes so I find that the white mascara primers (Lancôme, Subversion) work best to make colored mascaras pop. My favorite white lash primer was the MAC Prep + Prime but of course they quietly discontinued it without notice. The other one they have is really gloppy. For black mascaras, my favorite primer is Benefit They’re Real,
Perfect timing I just bought a tube of blue mascara and will open it this June or so as I like colourful looks in summer
Could you please tell me what you are wearing on your cheeks? Gorgeous!
Hi Dani,
Thank you so much! I’m wearing Hourglass Brilliant Nude Blush buffed out with Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Sheer Glow in No. 40.
