Two women I love — my mother-in-law and my good friend Mary Anne — are breast cancer survivors (click here for info on performing monthly breast self-exams), and I know that many of you have also been touched by cancer in one way or another.
With their Nail Lacquer in Bubble Bath ($7), OPI is trying to help women cope with changes in their appearance that can result from cancer treatment. Part of every sale goes toward Look Good…Feel Better, a national public service program with more than 50,000 participants each year.
Easy-to-wear color
Part of OPI’s Soft Shades Collection, Bubble Bath hides chips well, which is one reason I like it a lot. It applies as a non-streaky pale pink and dries quickly to a shiny finish.
Because it hides chips so well, I think it makes a great low-maintenance shade if you’re rough on your fingertips like I am (lots of typing).

Through the Look Good…Feel Better program women are able to take free workshops on makeup application, dealing with hair loss and taking care of nails both during and after cancer treatment.

Every bottle helps
OPI will donate a portion of proceeds from the sale of every bottle of Bubble Bath Nail Lacquer, with a minimum contribution of $25,000.
I like the idea of something as seemingly insignificant as a little bottle of nail polish making a positive difference in someone else’s life.

my grandmother is a breast cancer survivor, and i know how much physical and emotional pain she had and still has to go through.
not just breast cancer, but to all the cancer survivors and fighters out there: fight on!!!

Wonderful idea! It’s the little things like this that really end up counting in the long run. As much as I’d love to donate my frilly locks, my hair is so, so short ;___; But I’ll be sure to grab a couple- who doesn’t love supporting a great cause AND having fab nails while you’re at it. 😉

I love pale pink polishes, and I love that a portion goes to a great cause. That is very cool that Christina is doing that.
Breast cancer runs in my family and my dad has had several bouts of skin cancer as well. I’ll have to go hunt for this. In the mean time, OPI’s Sand in my Suit is a fabulous summer color you might want to try if you haven’t already. BTW – Loving the Korres primer! Thanks so much for the recommendation! Even in this NorCal heat I look dewy, instead of oily!
I totally MEANT to work out but my tummy was really icky all morning and that was the only time I had to do it. Booo, excuses, excuses. There’s always tomorrow! 🙂

It’s great that big companies help to raise awareness by donating money from a product. Bubblebath is one of my favourite shades and knowing the proceeds are going to such a worthy cause makes it even better. My cousin was just 22 when she was diagnosed and she’s now fighting fit, I always try to support breast cancer charities when I can.

Oooh, I need to try to find this polish. I love sheer shades like that. I already have OPI Pink of Hearts, which benefited Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
This is something I can really stand behind. My grandmother loved nail polish while she was still alive and I bet she would have loved this shade. She died ~11 years ago of liver cancer.
