¡Viva la lipstick revolución!
Say hasta luego to products with paltry pigments and sapless shine. A new line of lipsticks leads Urban Decay’s pack of fall products to shelves, and they’ve got plans to plant plenty o’ creamy, pigmented kisses on lips.
The Revolution Lipsticks
A completely new line of permanent collection products, the Revolution Lipsticks ($22 each) are the stars this fall.
Available in a range of pigmented, shiny colors from nudes to bold brights, and with a creamy, moisturizing formula that contains jojoba oil, avocado oil, cocoa butter and shea butter, there’s something for everyone.
I’m really impressed by the formula and thick texture with these. SO rich and smooth. Even the pale nudes, which can often apply patchy, go on smoothly with even coverage.
I’m still testing, but I have high hopes for these… From what I’m seeing so far, these could be nice alternatives to full-coverage Dolce & Gabbana-style lipsticks at a lower price point.
24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencils
Joining the Revolution Lipsticks are 16 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencils ($19 each) being relaunched into the permanent line. Ozone (the clear shade) and Naked (a revamped version of it) are holdovers from earlier appearances, but the rest of the colors are new. Containing vitamin E, jojoba and cottonseed oil, they’re designed to deliver moisture to parched pouts while keeping the color from feathering.
Naked Ultra Definition Pressed Finishing Powders
But lips aren’t the only stars lighting up the sky above Urban Decay headquarter. The company is also launching a new line of face powders to go with their Naked Foundation and Beauty Balm called the Naked Ultra Definition Pressed Finishing Powders ($24 each).
Designed to be virtually invisible on the skin, the powders have optical blurring pigments to minimize imperfections, cut shine and create a soft-focus effect.
They’re oil-, paraben-, alcohol- and fragrance-free and come in five shades — Naked (works well with shades 0.5-3.0), Naked Medium Light (for shades 2.0-4.0), Naked Medium (4.5-6.5), Naked Medium Dark (6.0-8.0) and Naked Dark (8.0-12.0). All are en route to UD’s permanent line.
Brow Box
The fall bold brow trend also gets some lovin’ with the newly redesigned Brow Box ($29).
Urban Decay revamped their existing Urban Decay Brow Box by including an additional angled brush, so now there are two — one for powder and one for wax.
That’s not all. The kit also comes with two shades of brow powder to mix and match your own custom color, as well as a pan of setting wax for precision shaping and to keep hairs in position, and a pair of tiny tweezers, all to create defined, natural-looking brows.
The Brow Box comes in two shades — Brown Sugar (dark brown and a light brown) and Honey Pot (dark blonde and light blonde), and yup! — it’s permanent.
Nail Colors
But wait, there’s more. 🙂 Nails.
Two limited edition, seasonal Nail Colors at $15 each in Vice, a rich, deep purple with red and blue micro-shimmer, and Addiction, a smoky, metallic gunmetal with multidimensional, high-shine micro-sparkle.
Dang… Multidimensional, high-shine micro-sparkle? Now that a cool phrase.
Each one has a 400-strand brush, which is supposed to help ’em latch onto more product for clean, precise application. All of them are toluene-, formaldehyde- and DBP-free.
According to Urban Decay, we can expect to see two new Nail Colors every fall and spring, so if you’re a collector, this could be a fun place to start.
Availability
Fall 2013 arrives on Urban Decay counters soon, and should be popping up on urbandecay.com Tuesday, July 9.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Omg! I’m going to have a heart attack !!!! Those lipsticks are everything and the packaging of this collection is so pretty!
Anarchy & Bang are on the top of my list! Thanks for the swatches 😀
those lipsticks look great! i really want to try anarchy!
I’m really excited about this collection! I’m liking the lipsticks the most of course! The purple nail polish looks amazing too. Although I’m good with my brows at the moment so I can pass on the brow box.
OMG everything is so pretty! I want Bang, the powder and one lip pencil. I’m still waiting for the b6 setting spray!
Ooooh lordy, I’ll need a part-time job just for this! Good thing I’m only lusting after the Nakeds for now!
Maniac! That color is so for sure what i need this fall, but I’m also into Venom, Strip, and Rapture. Also those brow powders look promising, and I’m probably going to get a naked face powder.
Holy BANANAS! Product overwhelming! But in a good way 🙂 I love the lipsticks. I would love to try F-bomb and 69. I have found my red lipstick with MAC, but I can always look for more. 🙂
I am interested in the Naked powders. I tried the foundation when they came out, but it just didn’t float my boat. It gave me a grey-ish tinge to my skin. I think it was the light diffusers that just didn’t jive with my skin. I was bummed that it didn’t work out, but the powders may be more promising. Can’t wait!
What kind of eyebrow fillers have you had success with? I touch my face from time to time, and it’s pretty sweltering over here, so I don’t know if a wax and powder would be ideal. I have yet to get to a MAC counter to try out the eyebrow pencil, the cool mineral lipsticks and glass gloss. 🙂 Soon.
Have a lovely night! Looking forward to the Monday poll!
i love all the lipsticks! i have to try anarchy. it looks so pretty!
OMG. I havent seen so many awesome shades ‘together’ in a range before! The lipsticks look fantastic. So does ‘everything’ else.
Sarah
PrettyGloss – beauty, makeup & a lil bit life
Thank you so much for posting this!! I love urban decay, can’t wait for this fall collection! 🙂
That was a lot of work! Phew! Thanks for the crazy amounts of swatching. Those lipsticks all look fantastic.
WOW! Takes my breath away 🙂
The lipsticks look great, but I wonder — what is it with the flat tops? I prefer a point…
Holy cow! I need those in my life like I need air to live…. And I can’t even make a decision here which color I want more. I kinda want THEM ALLLLLLLLL
Oh My!!! LOVE Anarchy, 69 and Bang have caught my attention. 🙂
Sign me up for the lipsticks and lip pencils. They’re gorgeous colors.
OMG can you say gorgeous lipsticks! I like venom, anarchy, & 69! I have always had love for Urban Decay 😘 I feel like the brighter shades are performing a bit better than the tamer ones from your pics….
OMG the shades are osm…….. 😛
The lipsticks are super-fab!!! Such gorgeous colours, how is a girl to decide???
Time to save money for a big UD haul xD
Those colors pretty good. Wanna try each. Can I get these brands in India? If not, will urbandecay.com deliver internationally?
Thanks for the pretty post Karen.
I love these! 69 and Catfight are gorgeous colours. xx
Can you compare Vice and Chanel Taboo or maybe other dupes for it?
omg, heart be still!!! I did not expect UD to come out with such a big, beautiful fall collection. Those lipsticks! They look gorgeous, as do the lipliners. The pressed powders look a little on the light side but I guess I’d have to see them on to really judge.
OMG, what a collection! The lipsticks look so rich and full of pigment! And so affordable too! I love Naked2! And the new powders look awesome too!
Wow, that’s a whole lotta lipsticks! I’m eyeing 69 and Anarchy! I’m not really into skulls, but the nail polish bottles? Cuuuute!
I’m excited to see these in person! They look really shiny!
I’m very excited about the lipstick range! I hope UD revamps their blush range next.
SO EXCITED. I heard there were some new products coming out that they never really had before, among others, and I am so stoked! Those lipsticks look gorgeous. I’m also interested to see the full line of polishes! I do hope UD comes out with a blush range soon, though. Mama has a habit to feed!
Venom, Anarchy, and Strip are all calling my name, though for that price I’d feel bad buying more than one. But how to choose?!
Love this! My friend introduced me to UD almost three years ago but lately they’ve been disappointing with all of the pulls (and too many shimmer eyeshadows! a girl needs her mattes now and again y’know?) but several products are calling my name, now I just need some more sales for my e-shop…..And then this girl is gonna party! 🙂
Now THAT’s a launch! Can hardly wait to see/play with all of these! I’m drawn to 69, Catfight (duh, right?), and possibly Jilted and Strip, and I’ll definitely be trying out the powder, since the foundation (in 0.5) works well for me.
OMG Karen! What an amazing amazing collection! So many choices for berry and plum lip colors!
I’m convinced that Urban Decay is out to get me. I am kind of obsessed with 99% of the products that they turn out. My wallet is going to be very angry with me in the coming weeks!!!
DROOLING. big time. I want it all!
OMG Karen, I am praying to the makeup Gods that that nasty Creme Brulee taste is not present in these Beautiful lipsticks! Please let us know. I used to love Gash, but had to stop using it because of that yuckity aftertaste. Thanks for the swatches. They all look great on you
*Makes frantic grabby hands at everything!!* Especially that Addiction nail polish, mwah! And normally I’m not keen on dirty names but somehow it makes me like them more, in a giggly way haha!
So excited to see the new goodies they’re rolling out! The powders look pretty gnarly and the lippies (Naked2 – need you!!) look dynamite! I wish they’d offer powder blush! I am a huge blushaholic and I need my favorite eyeshadow company to rock out some powder cheek prods!
Oh, Anarchy <3 🙂
Lovely color range, really amazing! 🙂
This launch is so exciting! My only complaint is the absence of the other two shades of the original Brow Box, Beige Betty and Ginger Snap. The latter was perfect for redheads. Gingers need love, too! =)
Thanks for the awesome swatches! 🙂 I was excited when I saw the ad with the model wearing a very dark colour that I was assuming would be Shame, but your swatch makes it clear that there’s more to the lip they created on her… Would using the Venom or F-Bomb lip pencil underneath create the same effect? (referring to the pic on this page at the moment: http://www.urbandecay.com/Revolution-Lipstick/landingpage-revolution_lipstick,default,pg.html) Thanks in advance!<3
All of these shades look gorgeous!
Love all the colors!!! But I hope they don’t have lead at all.
Just wondering… If you had to buy just one lipstick, which would it be?
