Did anybody else wear green makeup to stay pinch-free today?

When I wear green eyeshadow, I usually try to work it into some sort of smokey variation, but for St. Patrick’s Day today I thought I’d try something with a little shimmer.
I started with MAC Pigment in Golden Olive, a shimmery greenish gold, and then added brown and gold eyeshadows

I started by patting MAC Paint Pot in Painterly (a creamy beige) over my entire eyelid with a MAC 249 Large Shader Brush.
Painterly, a cream eyeshadow, acts as primer. Its job is to intensify the color of the other eyeshadows and pigments and to anchor them in place.
To get the smokey effect that looks like a gradient of colors, I layer cream shadows, liners and powder eyeshadows, beginning the layering process by lining my entire lid with MAC Eye Kohl in Powersurge (a shimmery gold).
Because I plan to smudge pigment on top of the Powersurge, it’s okay if it looks a little messy at this stage.

Hiya, girls! Because we’re all Irish today 
, I’m celebrating St. Paddy’s with a green shirt, green eyeshadow and a few pints of green beer — just kidding! — green tea. El Hub really is part Irish, and I’m planning to go to the store this afternoon to get stuff for corned beef and cabbage, yum.
I dunno if we’ll go out for green beer tonight… We shall see!
Anyhoo, I think it would be kinda fun if we did another round of Share Your Look. Send in your look for today or tonight. If you’re going green, great, but your look doesn’t have to be green. The sky’s the limit.

My St. Paddy’s Day look’s posted above, and I’m putting together a tutorial for it right now.
It’s still pretty neutral (i.e. safe for non-St. Patrick’s Day use), but I dusted Reflects Antique Gold over the entire lid for a touch of sparkle.
