Unsolicited advice of the day
Next time someone asks you to send them some nudes…
- Keep your clothes on (generally, this seems to be a good idea).
- Send them a pic of the new bareMinerals Gen Nudes lipsticks, lipglosses and liners instead. It’ll be hilarious, I tell ya (well, at least you and I will be laughing, hahaha!).

That’s A LOT of lip nudity, and even if you’ve never found your perfect nude pout before, you might find it here.
The non-sticky, moderately moisturizing bareMinerals Buttercream Lipglosses feel heavenly on my lips, but I could have done without the Red Vines aroma (I’m not a licorice fan) or the faintly plastic flavor, which brings back major memories of the old-school NARS glosses, but both the fragrance and flavor fade quickly, so I can deal.
I’ve only tried one of the Lip Liners so far, the one called On Point, but I dig it. It’s super smooth — almost creamy, even — and doesn’t tug at all. Despite costing $16, it looks and feels exactly like my $30 holy grail Hourglass Panoramic Lip Liners, which begs the question: “Will I have to hoard all five colors?” Magic 8-Ball says, “All signs point to yes.”
The cream-to-matte Liquid Lipcolors are also nice. They feel thin and lightweight, smell a little like white chocolate, and they taste like it, too. The formula stays semi-wet on the lips, which I like because it stays kinda moveable and doesn’t grip my flakes.
As for the Radiant Lipsticks? I think they’re all right. They’re unflavored, unscented and sit firmly on the sheer side. They’re fine, but I don’t think they stand out like some of the other items in the collection.
So. Many. Nudes. It’s like one of those special beaches (haha!).

Was just at Sephora, I don’t think I’ve ever encountered a line of lipsticks I liked where I liked more than 3 shades along with their formulation. Luv their radiant lipsticks, especially xox, love, Panko, and heaven…. Now…. Which one to get…. 😉 maybe more than one….
I vote for at least two shades, but I won’t tell if all three make it home with you, Mickey! ?

This is indeed a massive collection! I wish there was a way to virtually try them on. I’m not 100% sure which color family makes the best nude lip for me.
It’s been a recently guilty pleasure for me to sample a different shade of the matte lip colors every time I visit either Sephora or Ulta. Probably the best formulation of the stuff that I’ve tried (my faves are Juju, Swank, and Bo$$. I’ll be buying a few of these soon!

I’m always searching for that perfect “my lips but better” nude toned liner. Will have to check these out to see if one fits the bill.
Hi Karen, I’m not a nude lipstick fan (on me only ?) but I do have to admit this collection seems awesome.
I think I’m gonna change my mind real soon!!! I’m looking forward to swatching them here in France, lol! I’ve already picked 3 of those based on the swatches you did ?.
By the way, I was wondering if you’ve ever tried the bareskin foundation or the complexion rescue tinted cream?
