For the life of me, I could not take a good picture with Chanel Extrait de Gloss in Emoi ($32) this morning, gah! I don’t know what happened… Maybe it was just the Friday crazies, but whatever it was, I looked either shocked or constipated in every single shot.
But I did learn a valuable lesson about Chanel Emoi during this exercise in photographic futility: no matter what else might be happening, when you wear this shimmery berry gloss, at least your lips will look dignified.
Emoi’s one of nine permanent members of the Extrait de Gloss line, a recently released line of non-sticky, unscented and unflavored lipglosses designed for high shine and long wear (about four hours). It’s the third one of the colors I’ve tried, and just like the other two, Insolence and Imaginaire, its pigmentation is off the frickin’ chain!
While Tyra and Tabs may have been disappointed in my inability to WERK IT this morning, I gotta say — it’s so nice to find a berry gloss that looks great no matter what.
Okay, so maybe I managed to eek out one decent picture today…

A day with the girls
Happy Friday, boo! It looks like we made it. 🙂 As of today, I am officially WAY behind on my Christmas shopping, LOL!
I’m heading into the city this afternoon to see my very good friend Cindy. It’s her birthday today. Cindy, Jen and I have known each other since the dawn of time (aka childhood), and we’re going to meet at — hold onto your seats! — SF’s Academy of Sciences (you know, where they have exhibits of the planets, dinosaur skeletons and gigantic jungle bio-domes).
Then, after getting our science on, per the birthday girl’s request, we’re heading out to some restaurant across the Bay in Oakland, which Cindy describes as “fried chicken nirvana.” I’m not much into the fried chicken part of that phrase, but the nirvana part sounds great!

Oh my gosh, I love this lipgloss so much, I cannot seem to wear any other gloss! It is so pigmented and lasts through all day for me, without re-touching. I have Confidence, Insolence and Genie, but I would love to be brave and get some darker shades like emoi. It looks fab on you!
