Because I wore this limited edition $20 lippie to run some errands yesterday (Target for canned goods and some baby stuff and Trader Joe’s for groceries), and at some point between leaving the house, running my errands and returning home, I must have rubbed my lips together, because I had red smudged all around my pout and effectively looked like the freakin’ Joker.
DUDE! It was like Halloween had arrived waaaaay too early.
But at least I know now why the Target clerk was looking at me funny when I smiled at him… Haha!
The worst part, though, was that El Hub was with me the entire time and didn’t say a damned thing!
I don’t know if he was secretly laughing on the inside, or if he’s just so used to me looking like a crazy person…
The jury’s still out on that one.
So, yeah, if you can manage to NOT rub your lips together when you wear Project Chimps, you should be good, because other than that, it’s a righteous red.
It’s a rusty, long-wearing matte red that applies like a gloss but dries to a matte finish.
One of my big issues with most liquid lipsticks is how drying they are. After a few hours wearing one, my lips look like I swapped them out with a prune that has seen better days (you know it’s true, though!).
But Project Chimps stays smooth and doesn’t separate, even after five hours…as long as I don’t rub my lips together.
A matte red liquid lipstick is always a good thing to have around (especially one that’s as easy to apply and looks as rockin’ in pics as Project Chimps), but one that also helps a good cause, like limited edition Project Chimps does, is even better.

For what it’s worth, my Dear Husband wouldn’t have said anything either. In his case, it’s because he really wouldn’t have noticed. Can’t say it’s a guy thing because my trainer, who I only meet with 2-3 times a week, notices more things about my clothes, hair and appearance than Dear Husband.
What’s up with the hubbies not saying anything? LOL!

I just looked up OrangeTheory. I don’t think my arthritic knees can handle running anymore. And I really hate group classes. All those beautiful, young, fit people and then there’s me, not young and not thin. I do a combo of kettle bells, weight lifting and yoga/stretching. It’s one on one and I get hot and sweaty and grunt a lot when I’m doing it. Not pretty at all.
I haven’t done do group classes in years but ugh, I can’t take running on the treadmill anymore. It is just too boring. Getting on there is like pulling teeth!
I’ve always wanted to try kettle balls, but I have a bad feeling that I’d hurt myself. Is it hard?

OMG, I had the same thing happen to me the last time I was at Ulta. I must have gotten some of the tester lipstick on my hand and then touched my face. I noticed this bright, bright pink on my hand and wiped it off but when I got to the cashier, she told me I had a “smudge” of something pink on my cheek. I wiped it off and sure enough, there was that bright pink again! At least she told me so I didn’t get out of the store wearing a pink slash on my face!!

Seriously, thank goodness for the people who actually SAY something. Embarrassing story no. 3,921: I once was walking down a street in SF and coming back to work from the gym, and somehow my gym bag accidentally opened and my underwear was hanging out (LIKE REALLY HANGING OUT). I’d been walking that way for who knows how many blocks until someone said something. OMG! You better believe that I now always tell someone when their zipper is down, when they have food stuck in their teeth, when they have Joker lipstick, or when their underwear is hanging out of a gym bag…
He didn’t say a thing? Mr. Loca wouldn´t either, and when confronted he´d claim he would have thought it was supposed to look that way. Men!
Not a thing! And we were out for hours. HOURS!
The color is pretty, but I’m trying to buy less LE stuff because I always miss it when the stock runs out.
Maybe hubs thought it was a trendy look? Idk, I could be giving him too much of a pass with this one.

It’s a beautiful color but I’m a compulsive lip rubber so I’d be Joker #2. And, not to sterotype the menfolk but, they are just so clueless about things like that. The number of times I’ve had bright, green food in my front teeth and not been told is staggering. And I always make a point of being like “Guys! WHY?”. They “didn’t see it”. Ever. Even Mr. Magoo could have seen it, but not my crew. HAHA! On the upside, I suppose it’s better than having someone pick at you all the time and be embarrassed if you don’t look “perfect”. Let’s go with Loves you for what’s on the inside? 🙂
