Ladies, I’ve seen the light! They’re big, bright, and high above the beauty section at your nearby Costco store. 🙂
Do you do Costco? On a recent trip I picked up a $12 pack of their Kirkland Daily Facial Cleansing Towelettes, and now I’m kicking myself for not trying them sooner.

My Costco card…
I’d been hearing raves about them for years but just never pulled the trigger before. The soft (softer than the first kiss from a shy boy), moisturizing pre-moistened towelettes remove my makeup (even waterproof mascara) in a flash — and they do it without leaving behind a sticky film. The light, vaguely floral scent (roses?), which I don’t mind at all, fades quickly, so it doesn’t conflict with any other scents I may be wearing.
But my favorite thing about ’em? — they’re SO cheap! Twelve buckaroos gets ya 150 WIPES (four packs of 30 wipes and two packs of 15), which breaks down to about 8 cents/wipe — WAY budget-friendlier than my beloved MAC Wipes (25 cents each).

Next time you make it to Costco (before I had a membership I’d accompany a friend), try to tear yourself away from those yummy free samples, and trot down to their beauty section to have a look around. You might find even MORE to love than Kirkland Daily Facial Cleansing Towelettes. Makeup and Beauty Blog Rating: A+
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I keep hearing more and more reasons to get a costco membership. Love your card photo, too!

Cotco is like the mecca for random cool things! I just bought some contacts there, as a matter o’ fact…
You can’t beat the price on Costco contacts and glasses. Got six months worth of contacts for significantly cheaper than 1-800-contacts
BAHAHAHAHA, I love your ID!
i just laughed so hard! I had no idea costco had skin care! we dont have one where i live but i’d love to check it out!
what are your all time favorite facial wipes?

It’s one of many. I can’t take a normal pic to save mah life.
I’ve been using these for the last couple of years and I LOVE them!!!
I wish I found these sooner! Do you know of any other good Costco beauty finds?
My Costco just got 2 different Stila eye sets – warm and cool. They come with 3 shadows, lash visor mascara, and eyebrow pencil – for $20!!
I dunno. Have sensitive skin. Gonna try to find them in smaller quantities first. I “break out” when the wind blows. Thanks for the info. I really am gonna try.
BTW, like your blog. Gonna subscribe now!

i LOVE these too! i had run out of my mac wipes so i went to steal one from my mom, and she had the kirkland ones. i was so amazed! i havent used any other wipes since!
Aren’t these so soft?! They feel great against the skin.
I also have to share a bargain find. At my local Big Lots they just started selling packs of Cucumber Cleansing Tissues (by Epielle). I was hesitant but the ingredients list was very normal and in line with any other similar product. A pack of 30 cost $1. Each wipe is super soft and enjoyable to use. I shall be returning to grab about four more packs. Even though I have tons of oils and balms to remove makeup at night, wipes just make the chore less tedious in the wee hours of the night.
Thanks for sharing your find Christy!
I’m definitely checking these out the next time I’m at Big Lots. I also heard the new line of baby stuff at Rite Aid has some nice wipes suitable for makeup removal!
I have tried to trick my ex-boyfriend about 800 times into using his brother’s Costco card to buy me Welch’s fruit snacks in bulk (YUMMMM) but so far it’s been a no-go. HAAAAA at your ID pic though, Karen!
Love your photo, lol! I want a Costco membership but I’m afraid I’d never use it because I’d have to drive out to the ‘burbs to go there.
How far is the drive? Maybe it’s worth it if you stock up on non-perishable house essentials too while you’re out there — paper towels, garbage bags, etc.
That’s exactly what I wanted a membership for! Do you think it would save a bit of cash on those types of things? It’s about 25 mins away with NO traffic (which never happens in atl).
I think it does, especially with time. For some reason I get annoyed when I have to keep buying things like toilet paper at the grocery store. I’d rather just buy 100 rolls and not have to worry about it for a year, ya know?
Hey Ladies,
Quick tip…you can buy Costco “cash” at guest services at the front of Costco (basically a gift card) and use that to buy products at Costco instead of the $50 membership. Seriously…best kept secret ever. Then you just need an AMEX to pay for whatever the Costco gift card doesn’t cover. Seriously…call and ask! They’ll confirm it!
whaaa?! that is crazy!
Rachel –
That’s kind of true, according to the official rules – someone without a Costco membership can use the cards, but the trick is, someone with a membership has to buy them in the first place. Hasn’t stopped me from buying them as gifts for family members who don’t use Costco enough to warrant a membership, but still go once or twice a year (Christmas and birthdays).
Could be that someone’s selling them to folks without memberships, though, too. Just isn’t the official way-things-go. 🙂

Amazing! Thanks Erica! I knew there was some sort of loop hole, but I didn’t know the official rules. Good to know!
yeah I feel ya! I thought it might be good for dog food too – we try to buy huge bags of that stuff since it’s so pricey. may have to talk the hubs into it… maybe I can entice him with the food samples!
The food samples are pretty awesome – I found the most interesting food that way like a locally made hummus, a pot roast ready pak, cheese and even ice cream! 😀
LOL awesome Costco ID picture!
I think we have these in Canadian Costcos… I gotta go! 🙂

Yes you do! These are awesome.
Say hi to Sherbert for me. 🙂
Hold it. You found the most amazing wipes ever… at Costco?! 😮 I never even considered buying Kirkland and letting it touch my face before (c’mon, most stuff that’s THAT mass-market is just gross,) but I think now, I’ll have to!
(I *love* your card photo, by the way!!)

Love the Costco card pic! I’ve heard the Kirkland makeup brushes are supposed to be pretty good too. Do you know anything about them?
lol, love your card pic!
I’ll be sure to check them out 🙂

I’ve been using these wipes for years and LOVE them. So glad there’s another convert to the kirkland side. fully love your costco ID pic.
I love costco. its one of my fave places on this earth. Dorky but tru. And yes I love the MU wipes. l great pic on ur card too
The two most important things…
1) softer than the first kiss from a shy boy —- this just proves what a great writer you are
2) BWAHAHAH your membership card photo is FEEEEEnominal! I died laughing.
I will definately check them out next time I am there. I love Costco. I love the surplus of products you get; it feeds my inner packrat (hoarding things) and organizational (never a fear of running out) self.
My friend got a set of their makeup brushes last Christmas and said they are the best thing since sliced bread. I’ve been on the lookout but haven’t seen them yet.
dumb question – do these replace washing your face at night? or does it remove makeup before you wash your face?
also, the costo kirkland brand has great shampoo and conditioner!!!! and at less than $10 for two giant bottles, you can’t go wrong
Your Costco card picture is hilarious! I want to get one just so I can make a funny face, too.
Also, I love makeup remover and cleanser sheets. Perfect for travel or when I’m too lazy to do it the traditional way.

EPIC Costco card, Karen! Haha. And I LOVE Costco! I got a 3-pack Lash Bast for like $13! 😀
Bwahahaha! U crazy….. LOL!
I have been using these cleansing cloths for just under a year now (they last just about that long for me). I am in LOVE with these cloths. They are nice and thick, moisturizers galore, and do the job wonderfully. I cannot (and will not) live without them.
Plus, you get a bazillion of the cloths for the $$. LOVE!
I need to give those makeup towelettes a try. And your Costco card picture is HILARIOUS!

Costco is my Mothership. I am in there so much that the workers know me and my daughter by name. I have never really paid attention to these wipes. These are definately on my shopping list for my next visit, this weekend. I gues I really do need to get away from those samples. Very cute pic ; – )
maybe i should start going along with my parents when they hit costco…
.-= AshBash’s last blog post… Makeup By Celly Giveaway =-.
My mom and I shopped religiously at Costco for years, then she didn’t renew her membership a couple of years ago. I got my own card just this weekend, and after seeing your pic I wish made a funny face instead of a mugshot, but I can’t imagine the reaction from the girl behind the counter if I had. Their electronics dept has a great warranty, although they had to modify in recent years due to abuse, and I love a place that I can buy a set of luggage and a 3 pound brick of cheese all at once(take that Walmart only selling the cheese in smaller packages!) I peruse the beauty aisle regularly because they will have some random great items, like Estee Lauder and Chanel totally marked down, but I think it depends on the area and the items are seasonal.
I absolutely love the Kirkland wipes. Theyare the only makeup wipes I use. I find others just don’t compare, to the price and quality!

But my favorite part of this post has GOT to be your Costco picture. TOO FUNNY! =D

Yay! I’ve been waiting for a review on these wipes forever! 🙂
In other news, I recently picked up a pack of “Faith in Nature” 3-in-1 facial wipes…cleanse, moisturize, remove makeup at Whole Foods and I LOVE THEM! They took off all my makeup, inc. waterproof mascara, smell great, are 100% biodegradeable/hypoallergenic/paraben & alcohol free and pH balanced…believe it was 2.26 pounds (in London for a brief jaunt)
Anyway, I highly recommend!! 🙂
been using these for ages already! love them!
I love these! I’ve been using then for almost two years and they haven’t failed me. They are quick and get the job done. The best part is I don’t have to scrub my face to get the make up off. The 15 pack is great for overnight and weekend trips.
I’ve been using these for several years and I love ’em! The price is fabulous!! 😀

Love your Costo Card Pic! I had a decent one until my mom lost it and I had to get it replaced. The new one looks HORRIBLE.

In the 12 dollar pack you get three big packs and two small travel packs! 🙂
glad to hear they’re worth it! 🙂
Bought those on a whim and fell in love! 🙂 They work really well, dont dry out my skin and so economical — on days when I dont use a full face of makeup, I actually cut the sheet in half and save the other half for the next day! 🙂
Its got a bit of a scent on it but its not overpowering or funky! Lovelove! 🙂
ps – i die at your costco id picture! 😀
Loving your ID picture! lol I’ve been using these wipes for a while now and they are great for the price and they last forever because you get sooo many!
.-= Nikkia’s last blog post… Budget Beauty Aisle Finds =-.
Your Costco membership photo is so cute! 🙂 I actually saw these on a trip to Costco a few months ago and picked them up as well! They are really affordable, and I find that I don’t need to use a whole sheet so I cut it in half! 🙂
I LOVE Costco! I’m very sad that I recently moved somewhere w/o a Costco, but next time I go, I’ll definitely keep these in mind! I don’t like that it has parabens in them, but it’s worth trying. The biggest problem I have with cleansing wipes is that they always dry out. How’s the resealing mechanism on these?
My Costco never has anything fun but I know they have these. Do these have a fragrance to them?
.-= MarciaF’s last blog post… And the winners are … =-.
I love this! I bought these about a month ago and they are wonderful! I love that they have a towel-like texture because I feel it really gives my skin a good scrub! I keep some in each bathroom since the box comes with so many!
P.S.- I love ur ID picture!!!
I heart costco! I don’t really buy makeup there. Just everything else.
COSTCO!!!
I definitely have to get some of these. Our local Target doesn’t carry the Soap & Glory that you’d recommended, so I ended up getting a Neutrogena liquid make-up remover (I only use it for mascara). It is just like the Clinique version that I never cared for. Way too greasy feeling and doesn’t do a very good job, even on non-waterproof mascara. I’ll drive the hour to Costco to get these instead!
I just have to say that I love your Costco card picture. It’s inspiring me to strike a pose next time I renew my card. I’m going to have the check out these wipes. Right now I am using the Kirkland Signature Baby Wipes which work fine but don’t do a thing with waterproof mascara.
You have the bestest Costco card photo ever!
.-= Tiera’s last blog post… Hawaii on Project Runway =-.
I’ve been using these for awhile now and they are DA BOMB!! Especially when I’m too lazy to do my whole night time routine. (which happens way too often) I LOVE your card picture btw.
I love your costco ID. I want mine to look like that… haha.
Good to know! I’ve been using Say Yes To Cucumbers wipes, because they’re much gentler than others I’ve tried. Will have to give these a go when they run out! 🙂
i bought these and the do remove my makeup well, but it stings my eye and i have a feeling it gave me a stye. i will continue on using them for my face but not on my eye area.
They have something similar to this at target, but it comes with 30! 🙂
I swear by Costco. I went yesterday and they just happened to have a shipment of Gucci Signoria watches. I have been lusting over the watch for years but could not bear to part with the $1200 dollars to get one. The cheapest I’ve ever seen one was for about $600 on Ruelala but it sold put quickly and wasn’t the color I wanted. I was thisclise to buying a replica of it for $200 when I found it at Costco for…..$269!!!!!! I almost fainted on the spot.
Also, I really like these wipes, they clean my face without leaving it greasy feeling. They also have a nice scent and don’t caus my skin to get angry.
