So MAC blushes seem a bit pricy, but they last forever. I got Blushbaby in 2003 and hitting the pan was a momentous event for me. I use this color frequently as my go-to blush when I’m in a hurry and don’t want to spend too much time blending. The website describes it as a flushed beige pink but it shows up as a light pinky brown on me. It’s a Sheertone blush, so it’s easy to apply and easy to build up. Blushbaby looks natural (no sparkle) but not flat. A great blush for blush newbies. I like to combine it with Pearl Blosson Beauty Powder.

This Beauty Powder was part of my Barbie Loves MAC haul from a few months ago. It’s so pretty! I love that this highlighter provides tasteful sparkle. Combining Pearl Blossom with Blushbaby is a easy and fast way to get the glowy look. I put Blushbaby on the apples of my cheeks and blend upward into the hairline, and then add Pearl Blossom on the tops of my cheeks and blend, blend, blend. I apply both with MAC’s blush brush, the 129.

Ohhhh, Dollymix. It looks SO CLOWN SCARY in the pan but don’t be fooled! This blush is beautiful if you master the application. It’s a concentrated bright pink Sheertone Shimmer. I definitely can’t use this blush in a hurry, otherwise I end up putting on too much of it. I use a Sonia Kashuk Powder Blush to apply because it picks up less color than the MAC 129 and gives me more room for mistakes. Also, I always dilute the color by tapping the brush on the side of the sink or swiping the brush head on a tissue or the back of my hand. Dollymix provides a gorgeous flushed look and is a must for any MAC lover who likes pink blushes.
So this morning I was having this kick-ass dream about surfing in Hawaii with my friend Christine and it felt so real. I could hear the water lapping over the surfboard and I could feel the warm sun and water against my skin … and then the alarm clock went off and I woke up. If you live in a tropical place and if the waves are good catch a few rides for me. I’ll be there in spirit.

if you love pearl blossom, you’ll love pearl sunshine.. it gives a healthy glow when used as a highlight. i almost let it get away! but aha! these two are two of my most prized beauty products! with the bonus mirror =) i love the idea of customized shimmer… i use a matte blush (harmony) and pearl sunshine.. can’t go wrong. i use pearl blossom with my rosier blushes, but i’m sure it would look great with anything?

OHHHH I have Pearl Sunshine – I’ve been combo-ing it with a neutrogena blush (a suprisingly high-quality blush for a drugstore brand) but now I’ll have to check out your Harmony recommendation. Both colors are excellent, yah? I’m kinda kicking myself for not buying back ups …
I’ve been using Dollymix since 2006. I bought a couple when the woman said it was limited edition, then I went to MAC today and saw that it wasn’t. I bought more. I can’t live without it. It gives me an awesome glow.
