- Lime Ice, a seafoam green with a frost finish
- Rock Candy, a mid-tone fuchsia with a frost finish
- Pink Pepper, a deep coral with golden pearl and a frost finish
- Enlightening, a deep silver with a frost finish
- Moth, a mauve with silver pearl and a frost finish
- Black Grape, a deep aubergine with multicolored pearl and a frost finish
- Jet Couture, a charcoal black with a frost finish
- Damson, a deep brown with golden pearl and a frost finish
- Midnight, a vibrant deep blue with a frost finish
Things you should know…
- What are they? They’re dramatically shimmery, glitterful powder eyeshadows designed to be worn wet or dry.
- Who might like ’em? Gals/guys who like bold, dramatic eye looks and makeup bling.
- What’re they like? Shiny, pigmented and shimmery with minimal fall out
- What else should you know? Some of the lighter pastel shades look alike on my NC 42 skin, which is a bummer, and most of the shades don’t look very glittery in pics. But they sure do in real life. We’re talkin’ HELLA glittery, but for some reason the camera doesn’t reflect the shimmer as much as I’d like. I really have to crank up the flash.
- What do they feel like? It varies, but some of them are harder than I expected, like Summer Honey and Rock Candy, while and others are super buttery and easy to blend, like Pink Pepper, Damson and Midnight. None of them feel gritty, though, which is great.
- How are they used? Just pat them on your lids with a flat eyeshadow brush like the MAC 215 Medium Shader or 239 Eye Shader (with these I like to use brushes with flat heads because I think they make it easier to press the products onto the skin). Then, sweep a matte shade into your crease for contrast.
- How about value? Well, each $21 0.10-ounce pan of Pressed Pigment is twice as large as a $15 0.05-ounce pan of regular MAC Eye Shadow. That’s a pretty good value.
- Which ones stand out in the crowd? From the ones I’ve worn so far, coral Pink Pepper, golden brown Damnson and deep blue Midnight are the ones that have stood out so far.

Black Grape seems a bit disappointing… Doesn’t seem as pigmented as the others.

I keeping hearing mixed things about the pressed pigments. The only thing really keeping me from getting one is that I already have way too much eye shadow!!
I like them. Just be sure to use a flat brush to press them on skin.
