Maybelline’s new $10 liquid highlighter is some seriously hardcore disco frost! — and it isn’t for the faint of heart. No, these big bits of glitter are probably better suited for a crew heading to da club than a gang going to a playgroup.
I’d belong to the latter group, although if somebody started bumping Murder She Wrote at the playground — not gonna lie — I’d bust out the Butterfly, no shame (but I’d have to stretch first!). 🙂
Throwback to my clubbing days
I’m going to leave this product to the ladies who don’t have to deal with pores/fine lines/being over 40. If you’re interested, they’re $9.99 each and available in three super shimmery shades.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. How’s it going tonight? I’m over here trying to find something to watch on TV… Got any recs? 🙂

Definitely not for me. Too many pores and fine lines that would look horrible filled with glitter.
Woah! That is some serious glitter! Not for me I’m afraid-gone are the days of disco ball face!
Yeaaahhh as a fellow open-pored gal this is probably not for me.
I don’t really care for either one but I love the new way you do your swatches!
The only thing I have been watching in my very limited free time has been Gilmore Girls!
Oh, totally passing on the disco ball but I’m sure lots of young folks will love it. 🙂
I just finished The OA on netflix and I’m not sure if I should recommend it to you. I think it was OK. Maybe that should have been the name. HAHA! It has interesting ideas and good storytelling/acting, but there’s a healthy dose of cheese (for my taste). It’s only 8 eps so, maybe see what you think. 🙂
I have always been on the fence about highlighters as a woman over 55, I always think it is too much shimmer for me for an everyday look. I rarely go out any place that warrants it. I did recently catch the new Bobbi Brown Glow palettes with a shade of pot rouge and cream highlighter. They are limited edition items and might be fun for the summer. There are 4 different combinations, at $50. Not sure if it is worth the splurge.
Unfortunately, I don’t watch much TV at night. My husband is usually catching up on the news and then basketball. I am usually upstairs reading or catching up on the Ipad. Just read Bruce Springsteen’s autobiography which I found interesting. I think over the summer, the husband and I will do “Springsteen Road Trip”and visit some of the places he mentions in his book. We’ve been to some already.
Have a good weekend!
Too many pores on the dance floor… too many pores…
I recommend The Crown and Versailles on Netflix.. Excellent
