Three dollars? No way. I can’t believe this gloss is just $3.
E.L.F. Glossy Gloss in Dragon Fruit just might be my new favorite glitter-less pink gloss. Without a doubt, it’s my new favorite $3 one. I mean, you can’t even cross a bridge around here for $3 anymore (to cross the Golden Gate Bridge costs $6!).
Eight shades live in Glossy Gloss, E.L.F.’s line of hi-shine glosses with a creamy finish, and Dragon Fruit, a pinkish peach with medium pigment, is my first. The hint of peachy pink it bestows upon my lips is noticeable, but not high maintenance.

Dragon Fruit leads me to wonder if the E.L.F. Glossy Gloss line might be a budget alternative to the MAC Cremesheen Glass line. Wouldn’t that be nice? — a $3 alternative to an $18.50 gloss. I think the Glossy Glosses feel slightly thicker yet just as smooth, and have a similar creamy color and shine.
The $3 E.L.F. Glossy Gloss Line…
- Available in eight shades
- They have a mild (not obnoxious) vanilla flavor and scent
- A non-sticky texture
- A four-hour wear time
- The pigments distribute evenly across my lips
I would’ve preferred a doe-foot applicator, but I can live with the brush. All in all, a great, gorgeous gloss at an even more attractive price. 🙂
PRICE: $3
AVAILABILITY: Available now at most drugstores, Target and also online

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

P.S. TGIF! Good mornin’ and fab Friday, young lady. 🙂 Well, I missed Project Runway last night, but I did catch the new Jersey Shore. It was…interesting. Other than the fact that most of the cast members are Italian, I haven’t quite figured out why it needs to be in Italy, since I don’t expect MTV to show us very much of the country. I mean, couldn’t they have just filmed the same things in Seaside (drinking, drinking, etc., etc.)?
Of course, I still watch the show, so what do I know?
Didn’t really do much last night. The flight tuckered me out, so I just grabbed some fish tacos at a cozy little place called Cafe Zanzibar, stopped by CVS (they’re sponsoring part of my trip) for some emergency lotion and Balance Bars, and then passed out in my room.

I bet Tabs would like Petco Park; it sounds right up his alley…

This place is actually a steak joint. Someone there has a sense of humor, haha!

Where I had my dinner and dessert…

Dessert at Cafe Zanzibar; a blueberry trifle served in a mason jar = CUTE!

I made a pit stop for lotion and snacks…

Beautiful gloss. It really compliments your skin tone!
I have one of the glossy glosses in berry blush and i love it! I’m not a big lippy person so this creamy-no glitter gloss is perfect for me. I’m thinking I need more 🙂
The Golden Gate toll is $3 for carpoolers with FastTrak. 😀
I just love E.L.F. Cheap prices and great quality. What more could I ask for?
That blueberry trifle looks yummy!
The trifle was delish! The sponge cake was citrus-flavored, which totally took it to the next level.
That’s the CVS by my brother’s condo! I love that part of SD.
It’s a really cute neighborhood. Do you happen to have any favorite places to eat in the Gaslamp district? I gotta find a place to eat dinner…
LOVE this colour! ugh, i’m so gutted i wasn’t able to stop by Target when i was in seattle last weekend! =(
Be sure to put it on your wish list next time you visit. I think you’ll really like it.
Happy Friday, BTW! What are you up to this weekend?
A lovely, soft shade of pink! I’ve just started trying out ELF, and so far I’m pretty impressed! 🙂
Hi Sonya,
What have you tried and liked so far from the line?
Nice! I’ve never paid much attention to E.L.F. glosses, but that ones looks like a great everyday gloss. I wouldn’t mind having that desert either lol
Hi Melody,
Totally! Plus, it’s so affordable that you can have one in every purse. 🙂
I just looovvee that you consider the lack of lotion to be an emergency. Right? Right?
Hey Lilly,
It totally is. I get all orange alert if I don’t have it!
Got any exciting plans for the weekend?
I just bought this gloss last night on a Target binge, and I love it!! I got it in three different colors, I couldn’t resist!
Hi Maggie,
Ooh, what colors did ya get? Anything I need to pick up ASAP?
That gloss looks very pretty on you!
Thanks, Gio! I hope you had a great day. 🙂
I wish I could drive to Target right this second and pick some up. So pretty, and who could say no to the price?
Hi Quinn,
I can’t wait to back to Target to check out more colors. Gotta love cheap glosses that perform, right?
my friend’s parents live in San Diego and ive come over to visit several times …. ive eaten the trifle at cafe zanzibar!
awesome that you liked it!
im going to try and reply again since it seems my reply disappeared.
ive eaten at cafe zanzibar, and enjoyed it.
Your CVS pics are so cute! haha
p.s. OK, ladies, so I go a gravatar, but I don’t know how to attach that pic to my comments. Help. Thanks!
Love,
a technologically-unsavvy gal
I wish this would be available in europe soon!
I have this exact gloss as well as 2 of their glitter glosses and I love them all. Super nice for only $3. The glitter ones are definitely a bit stickier and have some grit, but I’m a glitter-lover so I’m used to it and the sparkle is worth it. Dragon Fruit is a great everyday gloss to just throw on on your way out the door.
