Every day for the past few weeks I’ve been experiencing magic — magic! — in my shower.
Actually…at the end of my shower, because of this bottle of Curel Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer ($10.44 for a 12-oz. bottle).
It looks like your run-of-the-mill moisturizer, but it’s actually nothing like that at all. And that’s because — dun-dun-duuun! — you don’t have to rub it in.
Like, seriously, I don’t even want to know how long I’ve spent standing in my bathroom massaging lotion into my skin. I probably could have read War and Peace five times in the time I’ve spent rubbing lotion into my limbs.
Curel Hydra Therapy is fascinating! All you have to do is put it on wet skin — literally just rub it on really quickly once or twice — dry off with a towel, and you’re done. You don’t have to massage it into your skin. And shockingly, it works really, really well. With my dry skin, I need a heavy-duty moisturizing lotion, and this stuff delivers the goods.

It’s unscented, but more importantly for me, it doesn’t feel greasy like the thick, heavy lotions I sometimes use that leave behind a yucky film, or that leave the backs of my knees and elbows sticky.
I’ve been having many hallelujah moments with this. You should have them too. 🙂
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

This is intriguing, but my skin is so sensitive. It makes me nervous to think about using something other than aveeno.
I’ll have to give this a try. I love the one by Jergens.
Does it leave an oily film in the shower?
I’m curious – I like that this one doesn’t have solvent alcohols near the top of the ingredients. I don’t mind putting normal lotion on, but I need all the moisture I can get in the winter! My office was so dry today, my hands and lips just felt awful.
Be careful with Aveeno !
I am allergic to it !
But i will try your frugal tips ; I love them !
Thanks for listing the ingredients. It makes it easier to know if this is a go or not in trying it and I do look forward to trying it. I do need some major moisturizing on my hands and arms.
This sounds interesting! I’m wondering if it leaves any kind of residue on towels though?
Definitely going to try this! I’m a lotion junkie. Always in search of the perfect one, the next best thing. I love the in-shower lotions and this just-out version sounds like something I have to check out.
So good to hear that it is fragrance free! I get headaches when lotions, etc. have lots of fragrance in them. Hope to pick some up tomorrow
Wowza! I wanna try this. I’ve avoided moisturizing everywhere but my feet (even then, only with reluctance) because I dislike how long it takes to rub in moisturizer and that icky, tacky feeling when I’m dressed.
Intriguing!
Karen, I have to try this! Unscented? Fantastic! And it sounds like it doesn’t leave a greasy mess behind in your shower like some in-shower moisturizing products.
oooh, I have a similar product but by Jergens, its called the “wet skin moisturizer” and works the same way as you described about.
I got the calming green tea, but its also available in nourishing monoi oil and refreshing coconut oil.
have you tried it? wonder how they compare 🙂
Hi Yelena,
I haven’t tried the Jergens version. How does the calming green tea smell? Is the scent very strong?
Happy Monday to you!
