Like a peacock’s feathers, some beauty product packaging isn’t meant to be practical. Sometimes it’s meant to grab eyeballs — KAPOW! — which is exactly what the colorfully quirky Love & Toast line did to mine when I stumbled upon it at Pure Beauty.
I love the way products in the small indie line of perfumes, lip balms and hand creams ($9-32 each) are decorated, with their bright tubes and fun, interesting scents — sugared grapefruit, anyone?

Love & Toast Lip Balms ($9 each), available in Gin & Lime, Lemon Mint, Prickly Pear, Star Anise, Cherry Lemonade and Vanilla Chai

Love & Toast Eau de Parfums ($32 each), available in Pomme Poivre, Honey Coconut, Gin Blossom, Sugar Grapefruit, Mandarin Tea and Paper Flower

Love & Toast Handcremes ($9 each), available in Pomme Poivre, Honey Coconut, Gin Blossom, Sugar Grapefruit, Mandarin Tea and Paper Flower
Super cute, yah?
I walked away with a tube of the lightly scented Handcreme in Pomme Poivre (French for “apple pepper”), which I’ve been wearing on my paws since we arrived in Reno yesterday. The climate-controlled casino air usually wreaks havoc on my skin, but Love & Toast’s fast-absorbing shea butter formula has kept my hands soft and smooth.
Another thing I love: the Denver-based company believes in giving back to the community; they donate a portion of every Love & Toast sale to Girls Inc., a national non-profit organization committed to inspiring the leaders of tomorrow. 🙂
I expect to finish every last drop of the Handcreme and can’t wait to try more stuff from the line. Available at Pure Beauty and online at loveandtoast.com.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

hope you’re having an awesome time in reno 🙂
The packaging is so cute! I haven’t been to Pure Beauty in forever, but now I should pay them a visit!
The name alone makes me want to check it out, the artsy packaging makes me want it more.
I LOVE colorful and bright ANYTHING–let alone packaging. So I obviously think this is adorable.
I hope you’re having a fun time in Reno. I’ve never been, but I imagine it’s at least partially awesome. If not fully.
Very interesting packaging!
The packaging is so cute….what do I buy first?!?
Cute stuff! There are a couple stores in the area that carry the brand but I’ve never been in either. Looks like I need to muster up some discretionary funds… 🙂
The packaging is <333333
Must have them! 😀
The packaging looks very cute and I love the artwork on it. Kudos to the unique blend of scents too.
I love the cute boxes too! I once ordered some of their stuff online, and I was just dissappointed by how small the hand creams and mini perfumes were 🙁
Those lip balms look like a higher quality version of those on10 schwepps scented balms in like tonic water and lemon line. cocktail mixers for your lips. a very sophisticated but fun idea i think, too bad what they were selling at sephora was terirble quality
These are super cute 😀
That looks like my kind of products. The packaging is so cheerful and pretty! 🙂
Are they available anywhere in Europe?
The packaging is so cute!
Oh can’t wait to check this out. So pretty. 🙂
omg i LOVE that packaging!!! i should definitely check it out soon, but ive looked at my sephora and i don’t think they stock it… :'( they have a website though so ill do that!!
This brand has some really cute mini bottles of perfume available that I want SO BADLY. I don’t even know what I’m waiting for, I should just go order them. Haha. So cute! I love seeing all the products together.
oh my gosh, the packaging is killing me, it’s so cute!
Karen, if you’re loving this line, also check out Tokyo Milk and Lollia products! All three lines were conceived, produced, and designed down to the tiny details of packaging by Margot Elena. Her versatility is crazy – Dieline.com (if you are, as I suspect, as much of a packaging design nerd as me) has featured her a few times:

I have their sugared grapefruit hand cream on my desk at work, and it definitely lifts my mood everytime i use it. Sooooo lush.
So bright and colorful packaging!
Hey guys! They carry this line of products at the Whole Foods stores in Colorado. Not sure if other stores in different states carry it too? Might be worth checking though… 🙂
OHMYGOSH, I love and breathe by these products and was happy to see them featured on your site! I have three of the lip balms: Vanilla Chai, Gin and Lime, and Prickly Pear. They are absolutely THE BEST, and worth every penny! I also have the Hand Creme Mandarin Tea, and I love the mini bottle that I can store in my locker, purse LR even pocket! Im obsessed with mini bottle hand creams, and if you’re looking for some good ones try the Crabtree and Evelyn ones in lavender and rosewater.
