The Sonia Kashuk Eye on Textured Nudes 4 Eye Couture palette just screams “fancy night out” to me. It has a nice variety of nude colors, including four really pretty glittery shades.
The matte and satin shades have been great for everyday, but I knew that I wanted to save the glittery colors for a special event.

My mom is on the board of the Alameda Health System Foundation, which raises funds for the public hospitals and clinics in Alameda County (go, Mom!). I was going to attend the annual gala at a winery (fancy, right?), and I knew that the Sonia Kashuk Eye on Textured Nudes would be perfect.
Nude palettes aren’t exactly uncommon, but I like how this one has three different textures. There are the matte shades for everyday blending; the satin shades are nice for easy washes of color, and the glitter shades are perfect for when you want a bit more drama.
The shadows don’t have names, but here are swatches. These are according to finish, and from bottom to top in the picture above.
As you can see, there isn’t much variation among the colors in the palette, and that’s really a shame, because these eyeshadows are incredibly smooth and easy to work with. The lightest matte shade is also a tad dry, but the others are great.
I particularly love the glitter shades. I think glitter is perfect for special occasions, but I’m never going to break out some glitter glue and pack glitter onto my lids, you know? Don’t get me wrong, it’s gorgeous, but just not something I’ll ever attempt to pull off! But that’s why these glitter shades are so great, because they have a creamy feel to them, so they adhere to my lids without anything extra, and without any fallout. I just use my fingers to tap them onto my lids, layering as desired, and I get a really pretty glitter look that lasts all night.
In this look I’m also wearing Chanel Stylo Eyeshadow in Beige Dore all over my eyelids, all the way up to my brow bone. Then I used the middle two matte eyeshadows from the Sonia Kashuk palette to deepen my crease before dabbing the bottom glitter shade very close to my lash line, and I built up a couple of layers to get a very glittery look.
Next I used Kat Von D liquid liner in Trooper on my upper lash line and NARS Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Via Veneto smudged into my lower waterline. I’m also wearing Colourpop Cosmetics Brow Pencil in Black N’ Brown and Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.
For my face, I used Becca Cosmetics Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation in Warm Honey (currently obsessed), Chanel Correcteur Concealer in 42, NARS Dual-Intensity Blush in Liberation (the left side, which is swatched here) and NARS Lip Cover in Get Dirty (another obsession, which you can see swatched here).
Once all was said and done, I really liked this look and was glad I had the Sonia Kashuk Eye on Textured Nudes 4 Eye Couture eyeshadow palette on hand to give it the glitter treatment.
I think these shadows are excellent performers. I just wish there was a little more range among the colors, because they don’t look that different on the eyes.
At $20, the palette isn’t exactly cheap, but it is less than many other nude eyeshadow palettes on the market. If a soft nude eyeshadow palette is right up your alley, it’s available now at Target.

I keep going back and forth on whether to get this one. On one hand, the lack of variation concerns me. On the other hand, I’m quite pale, so they might show up a little more varied on me. Plus…glitter! I have the Eye Couture – Eye on Neutral Shimmer 3, and it’s one of my favorite neutral palettes. Makeup lover problems.
The colors may be more varied on you and the quality is really nice so of course as a makeup lover I have to say buy it ?
It might actually work well with the other palette I mentioned. For $20, I’ll probably cave! lol

I am not too big on glitter on my eyes. I have one or two pigments I use for big events, but other than that I usually wear satin shades. The lack of variety is a shame, these look like the same color all together.
You can’t deny that it’s suuuuuuuper pretty!I just think the shades are a tad too light for me. Plus I probably wouldn’t use the glittery ones a lot.
Yesssss!! Those glittery shades look bomb! I’m not really a fan of the mattes as they look way too light for me but I almost want this palette just for the glittery shadows lol. They’re way too pretty and look beautiful on you!
