Doesn’t Dolce & Gabbana Classic Cream Lipstick in Mandorla ($30) kinda remind you of a ballet dancer with her perfect posture? No? Is that just me?

Card carrying members of Team Cat Lady, whether you’re a a tame house tabby or a certified jungle cat, chances are you WILL meow when you see the leopard print on Dolce & Gabbana’s limited edition Animalier Bronzer ($50).

Isn’t it just the coolest thing since leopard-print heels? Too bad the pattern’s an overspray and not actually etched into the pan — or maybe that’s for the best. The first few times it’s used, as the colors in the overspray are mixed together, the product applies super dark (like a chocolate golden sheen), and it would probably make a fantastic eyeshadow totally perfect for sexy, smokey eyes.
But once the overspray gets worn away, out comes a sheer, orangey brown bronzer with tiny flecks of golden glitter. Mrow! It’s sheer, though. Too sheer for me as an NC42; on me it delivers a subtle warmth, yet while I sheer do like the glitter and how smooth it feels, there’s something a little off about how the color works with my skin, like some of the darker tones from the overspray are still milling about…

“Muddy” is the word that comes to mind, and I was actually hoping for sun-lit.

Dolce & Gabbana Perfect Finish Concealer in shades 3 (the lighter shade) and 4 (the darker shade)
I’ve been looking forward to trying the new Dolce & Gabbana Perfect Finish Concealer ($35) since last fall, when I heard makeup artist Pat McGrath gush about how well it handles dark circles.
Available in four shades, the new line of liquid concealers features a twist-up pen kinda like the one from YSL’s Touche Eclat. Billed as three products in one, Perfect Finish is supposed to conceal imperfections on the skin while brightening and conditioning the skin with vitamin E.
So how does it do?
Not too shabby, tabby. I mainly use concealer to cover my purplish dark circles (damn you, insomnia!). In Perfect Finish, I’ve been using shade 3, applying the product with the attached brush under my eyes and blending out the edges with a finger.
It behaves like my go-to concealer of the moment, MAC Pro Longwear. Like Pro Longwear, it’s highly pigmented, offers full coverage and has a satin finish that doesn’t appear heavy on cakey on the skin, even applied in multiple layers. I also like the subtle brightening effect.

Amid the deluge of gray falling on eye palettes this spring, Dolce & Gabbana stands out. In the pan, their Smooth Eye Colour Quad in Eden ($59) looks like a garden with pretty pastels in mint green and pink.
Dolce & Gabbana usually scores with their quads — hitting them out of the park with rich pigmentation, a buttery, easy-to-blend texture, and shadows that exhibit very little fallout, but I think this new one falls a little short.
As the one and only quad in the new Secret Garden Collection, Eden’s shadows are uncharacteristically uneven when applied.
I wore the colors in the palette today and kinda struggled to blend them together. They weren’t as smooth as I’m used to from the brand and looked patchier then I would’ve liked.
