Heya, ladies. Happy hump day. 🙂 I feel like Sir Edmund Hillary this morning, except that this week has been my Everest! But no worries; should be smooth sailing to the weekend from here.
How about a giveaway to help us keep the wind at our back?
One lucky lady will win a MAC Pro Longwear Lipstain Marker in Sunset, a pretty coral brown from the MAC Art Supplies collection (a $16 value).
For more on the MAC Art Supplies Pro Longwear Lipstain Markers…
.

Entering is easy. There are two different ways, and you can do both of them for two chances to win.
First, you can enter by leaving a comment at the bottom of this post, a comment about anything at all! Write one (or a list) of your favorite songs, rave about your latest makeup crush, or vent about how your hella annoying neighbor keeps filling your recycling container with their garbage (I’m not bitter!).
Natasha Bedingfield’s Love Like This is my JAM! Hearing it always cheers me up. 🙂

Second, enter by following me on Twitter and retweeting (RT) the following message:
Follow @karenmbb and RT to Win a MAC Pro Longwear Lipstain Marker in Sunset http://bit.ly/aJQlYJ
I’ll pick the winner at random from among the people who enter by 11:59 p.m. PST on Thursday, May 13.
Glück!!

While my tubby tabby was holding down the fort on MBB this afternoon (thank gawd he can type!), I partook of something near and dear to beauty addicts everywhere: retail therapy!
I swung by Sephora to do some therapeutic window shopping and to return a few things. I didn’t expect this, though — when I got to the checkout counter, the cashier told me about something called the Sephora Skincare Challenge. Have you heard about this?

Today cat blogger Tabs of Party With Tabs shares a few of his favorite tips to boost self-confidence.

What’s up, ladies? This morning I woke up to two things:
“Tabs,” she cried, “I have writer’s block the size of freakin’ China. I don’t want to disappoint people, but the honest-to-gawd truth is that I’m not feeling funny, happy or inspired. I feel about as great as a dirty litterbox…that should have been cleaned three days ago.”
Next thing I knew, homegirl was sobbing into my fur, basically ruining the blow-out I just got at the Blo Bar SF.
Having heard enough, I climbed onto her chest, stared deeply into her eyes and said, “Woman, you need to calm the eff down. Get a grip before you end up cutting off your ear Van Gogh-style. You see, I can’t have you doing that. I need your ears fully functional, so you can hear my cries for gravy.”

Good morning, ladies. 🙂 It’s a new day (soo glad we put Monday behind us!). How are you doing?
Lately I’ve had Sex and the City on my mind. The sequel coming out nudged me to re-watch some old episodes from back in the day.
Did you know that Miranda’s character, played by actress Cynthia Nixon, was a fellow cat lady? Yup, her chubby tabby cat, Fatty, appeared in a few episodes.
I’ve always felt more connected to Carrie and Charlotte, but I still loves me some Miranda. She doesn’t take crap from anyone!

Hey, babes. Before we bid an overdue adieu to this particular Monday (YAY!), let’s take a quick look at a few of the glosses from Dior’s new Addict Ultra Gloss line ($27).

This a-dior-able line of 12 glosses features a lightweight texture and ultra high shine. Dior incorporated penetrating hyaluronic spheres — dehydrated microspheres of hyaluronic acid — to plump the lips — and what they call micropearls to keep lips hydrated, smooth and shiny.
So did their science experiment work?
