Whew! It’s been a busy morning of packing, answering e-mails and chugging coffee. I can’t wait for lunch… I’m hungry for those Morning Star Veggie Buffalo Wings (so obsessed).
A little later today I’ll sneak over to the MAC counter to check out the new Dsquared collection, which drops today. Been dying to peep the Lip Conditioner, Greasepaint Sticks and the Sculpt and Shape Powders. 🙂

A little overwhelmed! I’ll be happy when this move is over.
Smokey eyes and MAC Style Black, Origins GinZing Eye Cream mixed with under eye concealer, NARS Orgasm/Laguna Duo and NARS Powder Foundation.
Laguna Beach: Season 1 DVDs (um, why were the girls so crazy about Stephen?); frozen Morning Star Veggie Buffalo Wings; this purple Old Navy Swing Coat sweater (only $20!); Judy Blume’s Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret; showers and indoor plumbing.
MAC Zoom Fast Black Lash ($13)! It’s kinda awesome (review coming soon).
Straight and parted to the side. My flat iron and I are having an illicit love affair at the moment.
I’m really, REALLY obsessed with accordions.
Try these Visionaire Eye Shadow Duos ($38) from Hourglass Cosmetics.
Does Tabs count? While I was still in bed this morning, he attempted to climb all over my lady lumps like some kind of cat pervert!
Kate Spade Classic Noel Small Henry.
Stay sane over the next week of carpeting, paint touch-ups and moving.

The giveaway is now closed, and I’m contacting the winner by e-mail. Good luck!

Since dropping his self-titled debut back in 1994, Usher has sold more than 40 million albums and taken home five Grammies to go with his six-pack abs.
There was a while there where you couldn’t go 15 minutes listening to pop radio without hearing one of his songs. I like a few of ’em (sooo guilty of bumping Love in this Club on full blast!)… I’m looking forward to his upcoming CD, Monster, which comes out this December.
Like so many other mega-star singers, Usher branched out into acting (remember the cinematic masterpiece known as She’s All That?), product marketing, and even purchased a stake in a professional sports team (the Cleveland Cavaliers). Not content to stop there, though, he’s also released several scents for ladies and gents.
Which leads us to today’s celebrity fragrance giveaway. Today’s features one of the crooner’s fragrances for women.
One lucky lady will take home a bottle of Usher Raymond’s (that’s his real name) UR Eau de Parfum (a $68 value), a fruity floral with notes of peach nectar, white freesia, jasmine, violet leaf, pink peony, honeysuckle, musk, coconut milk and praline.
It’ll have you quoting Usher in no time: “Yeah, yeah, yeah… yeah, yeah. Yeah.” 🙂
Entering is easy. There are two different ways, and you can do both of them for two chances to win.
First, you can enter by leaving a comment at the bottom of this post. In it, mention the name of one of your favorite songs from the ’90s.
There are so many to choose from! — but Missy Elliot’s Supa Dupa Fly was the first one that came to mind.

Second, enter by following me on Twitter and retweeting (RT) the following message:
RT @karenmbb: RT to Win Usher’s UR Perfume for Women http://bit.ly/n9Hnw
I’ll pick the winner at random from among the people who enter by 11:59 p.m. PST on Monday, September 28.
Paç fat!

Our intrepid Inspector Tabs is trying to figure out which of the following is NOT the name of a famous fragrance.
Can you lend him a helping paw?

Morning, ladies. 🙂 How was your night?
I spent mine chillaxing around the apartment, which I think I needed. I did a little reading (Sookie Stackhouse; I’m on Book 4) and fooling around with makeup (BIG surprise!).
This morning I’d like to answer two of the questions a few of you asked about MAC Style Black. The first question comes from Faye.
QUESTION: How was application quality for the shadows? I hesitated to get these because I’ve had issues with the Mineralize shadows in the past — they always seem gritty and hard to blend, with fallout. How are these? – Faye
Heya Faye,
I actually find them pretty easy to blend, but fallout is a common concern when it comes to MAC’s Mineralize Eyeshadows.
The two Style Black ones I’ve tried so far, Young Punk (the shimmery purplish black) and Gilt By Association (the shimmery blackish bronze), apply smooth, and I haven’t experienced much fallout with either one.
By applying all of my eye makeup first — before concealer, foundation and everything else — I think it minimizes the impact of minor fallout with these.
Here are a few more things you might try to improve your results with these and other Mineralize shadows:
MAC addicts, do you use any tricks or tips when you apply MAC Mineralize Eyeshadows?
